CHAPTER 4: Guilty

*MALL PARKING AREA

"Valen wait!" nathan shouted and then ran over to Valen.

"You're okay, right?" ask again.

"I'm doing fine. Apologize to Jeli for yelling at him!" valen's orders.

"But clearly he pushed you earlier" Nathan said, evading Valen's orders.

"You know nothing! So don't blame him! Hurry up and apologize to her!" Valen.

"It's Valen I don't need to apologize from him either, because I was wrong so I should apologize to you. I'm sorry Valen," Jeli said with regret.

Valen then hugged the girl he thought was his sister.

"Here you go, you've taught the devil woman a lesson so don't feel guilty anymore" Valen assured her friend and gently rubbed her hair.

Hearing the words of his best friend, Jeli's heart became a little relieved. Then he let go of his embrace and said, "all right let's go home, it feels like my appearance is like a market thug being beaten up by villagers."

They laugh too. If Jeli has started playing again that means he is fine.

"Umm Anjeli I'm sorry for yelling at you" Nathan said.

"Tumben you want to apologize, usually you always make fun of me and look for trouble with me" Anjeli said.

"Nathan don't talk about it!" valen exclaimed, leaving the man and then walking towards his car and sitting on the steering wheel.

"Pity deh loo," ledek Jeli then ran away leaving Nathan whose face began to gloom.

“I won't give up Valen until I get you,” Nathan told himself.

*IN VALEN'S CAR

In Valen's car, Jeli was cool looking at his clawed face while justifying his tangled hair because of his struggle with the julid gang.

“What will I tell my mother later if she sees me like this,” Jeli grumbled.

“Sorry yes Jell, because I have a problem with Dinda, you also get affected,”

valen said he was sorry.

“Hey is okay, again pulakan I can finally grab the hair of the storm the Dinda and her gang,” said Jeli did not forget to laugh.

“Do not scream in pain. Besides I was just an unmarried fiancee,” Valen said trying to calm his best friend.

“Yahh pity that Nathan has no chance,” said Jeli who began to mock Nathan.

“Gue also wonder why Nathan does not want to give up my pursuit, so I feel bad about him Jell. How do I have to let Jell not chase me again?” valen said he let out his heart and asked his best friend for advice.

“Try lo kasi tau Nathan if you are going to be engaged with brother Kein, maybe he will blush. Indeed, he still continues to pursue you even though you already have a girlfriend. But if the fiancee is it means he has no hope anymore to be able to be the same lo,” said Jeli at length gave his advice.

Jeli just smiled. Not long after they finally arrived at the Rahardian residence. After driving Jeli home, then Valen drove his car again to his home.

The man ignored Jeli's teasing. He just focused on looking at Valen hoping for his invitation to be accepted.

After a while at war with his mind, Valen finally answered the man's invitation.

"Well let's have lunch together. I'd like to say something to you, too."

With a sparkling face the man was certainly happy because the first time Valen would accept his invitation. That man is Nathan.

They then walked together towards the parking lot. Suddenly Nathan felt something strange about the atmosphere around him.

"In a moment, how come you're going with Jell?" nathan asked who thought Jeli would be a mosquito repellent for him and Valen.

"Jeli was leaving with me so he had to come home with me. I don't want to have lunch with you if Jeli doesn't come" Valen explained to Nathan.

Jeli also stuck out his tongue mocking Nathan and was replied with an annoyed look from the man.

"Yaudah if so you guys ride in a cave car, I will anterin again to campus," said Nathan.

"No papa why I ride my own car, so that later can go straight home," said Valen refused subtly.

The three of them headed to a cafe by driving their respective cars.

An hour and a half, the time they took to a cafe that was located a little far from the city, and finally they arrived at their destination.

A cafe with a rural atmosphere, and also Instagramable which makes it a lot of visited by melenials.

They also sat at the surrounding table rather quiet so that it was comfortable to chat.

Then came a waitress who would record their orders.

Not long after, the food they ordered came and then served on the table.

They ate their food without anyone talking. Only the sound of spoons and forks clashing against each other.

Until Jeli's voice broke the silence between them.

"Gue excuse me to go to the toilet first, yes" said Jeli then walked towards the toilet.

Valen and Nathan are left at the table. There was no chat between them until Valen decided to start a conversation.

"Umm Nathan after Graduation I will be engaged" Valen said flatly.

Nathan who heard Valen's words was surprised, no less surprised with Jeli.

He thought for a moment, taking a deep breath to calm his mind and heart.

He tries to assume that Valen is only joking so that he gives up on getting Valen's love.

"Hahaha it's not all that funny Valen" Nathan said with a laugh.

"I'm serious!" Valen.

Nathan's laughter vanished.

"Thank you for waiting faithfully for me, but I can't accept your feelings. I'm getting engaged, so I hope you don't come after me anymore."

Valen paused for a moment so Nathan could digest his words.

"Many girls secretly like you. Open your heart to him. I'm sorry Nathan" Valen said.

Nathan is still digesting Valen's words. The male's eyes continued to stare at the girl in front of him with a sad look.

"Why are you doing this to me?" nathan said with sorrow.

"I have to say this so you don't get hurt more waiting for me, sorry" Valen said with a guilty face.

Nathan smiled cynically at Valen's words.

"Liking you is not a mistake so don't feel guilty. I'm a fool for still expecting you even if I know you belong to someone." Nathan paused his speech to be digested by Valen

"Don't force me to forget you. It's my feeling so let me take it for myself you don't have to worry" he continued.

Valen can only duck.

Because the atmosphere turned awkward he decided to leave the place.

"I'm sorry I had to leave because I had an appointment with someone. Can you please take Jeli home? Because I'm in a hurry. Thank you," Valen said, then rushed away without waiting for a reply from Nathan.

Not long after, then Jeli came to Nathan who was still sitting alone lamenting his fate.

Actually Jeli heard all their talk because their table was close to the toilet. But he decided to wait for the two to finish speaking, only then did he dare to appear.

"Where's Valen?" ask Jeli who pretends not to know.

"He's gone home first. Are you done yet? I'll take you home" Nathan said.

They leave the cafe and Nathan drives his car to Jeli's house. During the trip the atmosphere in the car was very quiet. You could say Nathan's face looks so gloomy that Jeli ventured to open his voice.

"Kenape muke lu in the bend is like a stingray," said Jeli trying to comfort Nathan but failed.

The man did not budge to make the hair of Judi goosebumps. But not Jeli his name if he gives up that fast.

"Hey stingray are you cursed to stone? Why just shut up. Hey!" Jellies are constantly blabbing to the point of making Nathan's ears hot.

Because his patience is over. Nathan then pulled the car over.

"Down!" Nathan Excited.

"Godhhh!" Jeli Reply.

Because Jeli did not move from his position, Nathan who was upset was out of his car and quickly opened the door of Jeli's car and then shouted.

"Anjelina's out of my car right now!" Jerk her.

Jeli who was surprised by Nathan's attitude suddenly froze.

Nathan, who was already upset, pulled the girl's hand and dragged her out of the car.

"Nathan, I'm just kidding, don't stay here," whined Jeli whose hand was still dragged Nathan.

The man ignored him. After Jeli got out of his car he rushed into his car and drove quickly.

"Basic lunaka!!" Jeli is so upset.

The place where he was forcibly taken down by Nathan, is still far from his home. That afternoon looked cloudy. The girl hoped it would not rain. He was still confused as to how he would go home. He saw his phone turned out to be dead because of lowbat. He was increasingly worried because there was no public transportation passing by plus there was very quiet and still far from the city.

He then stepped his feet down the road hoping that there would be public transportation passing by.

When his legs are no longer strong to walk. Suddenly the rain came down with a lot of water on the earth.

Jeli who was panicking then saw there was a bus stop across the road that was located quite far away. He then ran as fast as possible towards the stop to shelter.

The rain still fell heavily accompanied by strong winds to make the body of the girl who was soaked was cold.

He was actually very afraid especially the rain was accompanied by lightning and rumbling, making his tears come out wet cheeks because of the rain.

Jeli cried as soon as the afternoon seemed dark because the rain was unceasingly flushing the earth.

There was a blue sports car stopped in front of the stop where Jeli was sheltering. The owner of the car immediately got out of his car and approached the girl whose body was soaked while looking down on her misfortune.

Because someone felt someone approaching him. The girl who initially looked down quickly looked towards the front.

"What are you here for!" he said softly while wiping his tears quickly.

The man was shocked to see Jeli's state and there was guilt in his heart.

"Let's go in. I'll take you home" said the man.

It was Nathan. When on the way back to his house suddenly rain fell and made him remember Jeli. Then he turned around, back to where he left Jeli.

The girl did not flinch, of course she was very upset with Nathan.

Nathan pulls his hand and drags him to get into the car but Jeli brushes him off.

"What do you care about! Just leave me like that!" snapped Jeli who could not hold back her tears.

Nathan, who had just seen Jeli shed tears, made him feel even more guilty.

Nathan regrets his actions for venting his anger at Anjelina and making the cheerful girl shed her tears.
