Qalbies

Qalbies
Part 7's

I have reached my saturation point.

***

It's sunday. Tomorrow is college time, but Miftah is not here yet.

To ward off boredom, Qalbie searched his little notebook in a cardboard box. “Where, yes?” muttered the girl, “I'm really forgetful.” she lamented.

After scattering the books that have been neatly arranged. He finally found the book. He read it slowly. Seem to smile.

“Alright! Time to make a new plan. My dream is to be a obedient servant and be able to give something to others!”

In high spirits, Qalbie made a copy on another paper, then stuck it behind the closet door.

Qalbie tried to convince himself to stay focused on college and not think too much about Rian anymore. After all, nothing will change even if he's careless day-night. Everything stays the same. The girl was convinced that the only way she could succeed was to try to keep herself busy.

Qalbie knew it would be hard to start. Moreover, his attention is always easy to switch. But the girl was sure that she would get used to it. Most importantly, no matter what happens, never despair.

Qalbie was reading a book when Miftah arrived at the boarding house. They hugged very tightly. Let go of each other's longing.

"How are you, Qalbie?"

“Alhamdulillah .. good. Thanks to your prayer.”

The girl smiled widely, leaving Miftah astonished.

“How about yourself? Happy, huh, see family? Continue ... Why didn't you say that today you want to come? You must be bothered to bring things alone. I can pick you up at terminal.”

“I accidentally didn't say. The fear of past events repeated again, you waited for hours because of me.”

“It's okay. I'm glad I did. We are, brother.”

Qalbie held up her best friend's suitcase into the room. The round-eyed girl sat beside Miftah while enjoying a special meal made of milk. Similar cheese.

“How are your feelings of love and longing for Brother Rian?”

“Very good. Better than yesterday.” Qalbie smiled sweetly, then bit into the traditional cake bit by bit.

"Seriously?"

“Sure .. I still love her and will continue to love her. Tapii ... in a slightly different way.”

"What is the different way?"

"She, shit!"

Qalbie smiled sweetly. Inwardly, he recalled his last meeting with Rian.

The girl was very happy. Much happier than in the days before.

***

Time keeps going. Two months, three months, four months.

Qalbie always smiled kindly every time he passed by. Yep. Even though the skinny guy always turned his face away. Whether angry or what, obviously, Rian started like that since the last meeting.

Rian's attitude did not make Qalbie dissolve in sadness. So he gets excited. The girl thought of it as a natural thing. He was sure, someday, Rian would stop acting like that.

Five months have passed. Rian seems increasingly busy undergoing nursing clinic practice. Meanwhile, Qalbie also busied himself, studying nursing theory.

They never greeted each other. Only a smile appeared on Qalbie's face, though Rian always ignored it.

Time keeps going. Sometimes the man suddenly came, sat down beside Qalbie, then left again. Keep it that way. Without conversation.

Rian's attitude made Qalbie's smile inflate perfectly. The girl was very sure that their frost would soon melt away. On the other hand, he was studying more and more. Not wanting to overload his mind, let alone get stuck like before.

As a friend, Miftah was very happy to see Qalbie more and more passionate about campus activities.

***

Not felt, Rian graduation event in just a matter of months. The spillover and suave event itself will reportedly be held two days before graduation.

Of course Qalbie was sad to have to let Rian go to the next stage of life, but on the other hand, he was also happy, because his loved ones were about to graduate.

Qalbie's desire to be present at the event of the shedding and suave is huge. The girl was eager to witness the procession of Rian's sacking. But what power, only a few students can come. And they are showrunners.

Four months before the massacre, Qalbie's classmate, a former pencak silat athlete, suddenly fell ill. Name's Word. He was diagnosed with typhoid fever and had to rest.

With a heavy heart one show was cancelled.

It is unfortunate, even though the lecturer really hopes that twelve wiraloka styles can be displayed, because so far, in the event of a massacre, there has never been such a show.

The campus is very supportive, even they buy uniforms for students who follow extra curricular pencak silat and hire professional trainers.

“Badahat I really hope to display twelve modes of wiraloka. What can I do. Now I am sick.” The Word bowed lethargic.

“Sabar, yes? May it heal quickly. We always pray for your recovery.” Qalbie smile. “If only .. I was good at pencak silat. I will definitely replace you. But baby, I can't.”

“You are serious about performing ... if you can?” The face of the Word turned serious.

“Of course! I don't think anyone would refuse if they could. Moreover, it was the last event of our level Brother before graduation. But, no, not everyone can do it. Including me.”

“The most important thing is willpower. Where there is a will, there must be a way. I've asked friends who participate in pencak silat excul, but no one wants to. The reason, they just joined, is different from me who is a former athlete.

“I've tried to give them understanding so they change their minds, but still, no one wants to. In fact, the campus has sacrificed material and very supportive of us. So, it's a pity that the show had to be canceled.

“If you really want to, I can teach you. But maybe my movements are a slow version of it, because I have to rest a lot.

“Maybe I can go home tomorrow. If you want, you can come three or four days later. Again, if you really want.” The Word confirmed his last sentence.

“I want!” Qalbie's eyes sparkled. For him, this was an opportunity he should not miss. Only in that way, he could witness the event of Rian's sacking.

“Wait... Are you serious? Don't joke, Qalbie!” Miftah couldn't believe seeing her best friend so excited. However, seeing the girl smiling widely while nodding excitedly. Miftah was convinced that she was not dreaming.

Smile to myself all the way home. Amusedly imagining the meek Qalbie, playing with a stick and a sword.

Word gave some videos before the girl left the hospital. After arriving at the boarding house, Qalbie played several videos containing recordings of athletes who were demonstrating the style of wiraloka.

They look great and agile

Qalbie became unsure after seeing the video. But, for the sake of seeing Rian sworn, the girl promised that she would not give up before fighting it out.

He would go to great lengths to master the twelve styles of wireloka and make it his last show before the man left campus.

“I can definitely! As the Word says in the hospital, that where there is a will, there must be a way!” Qalbie's still excited.

Miftah looked lethargic and unsure. “Ya. But, if the athlete plays fast, then you are the slow version. Loyo and not powered.”

Qalbie listens to hear the word Miftah

“There may be a gentle Qalbie, a catapult, who ... uh! Anyway I'm not sure, really use!”

Miftah glanced at her submissive friend uninspiredly, she realized instantly that her words had left Qalbie in despair.

“Tapiiiii.. We should try! We have, we have God. By trying harder, and praying, God willing! Miracles can happen, just look at the tortoise who won against the deer! Yes, right?”

Qalbie let out a long breath, then raised his face. He smiled at Miftah. Understand that the words are only to comfort him so as not to despair.

I know, Miftah .. We're not living in a fairy tale.

Such is. But, after all, Miftah's words have a point as well. That girl should try. Nothing is impossible as long as Qalbie is willing to try.

And most importantly, no matter what happens, never despair.

Two days later, the girl found the Word. Miftah accompanied him faithfully, never complaining. In fact, he was the first person to always give advice so that Qalbie remained enthusiastic.

The first week, Qalbie's leg was sprained and had to be taken to a masseuse. His body was badly beaten. There was a bruise in some parts.

The girl had enough trouble organizing time because she had to go to college, but she still came. Don't worry about being tired.

The second week, Qalbie began to be able to adjust even though the movement is still not energetic and slow. The girl found it difficult to learn twelve wiraloka styles at once. The Word taught him one by one.

When first playing the stick, the girl is very stiff and often drops her stick. In fact, it is not uncommon for the stick to hit his head.

Qalbie was almost desperate when faced with the wand, but the existence of Miftah who always reminded him of Rian, very efficacious to arouse his spirit.

Now, Qalbie arrived at the stage of learning to play the sword. Horrified, for a while, Miftah put the distance as far as possible. Afraid, just in case the sword comes off and hits someone.

The word understands well. Therefore he asked Qalbie to play slowly until the girl had completely mastered his sword. After that, he asked Qalbie to play faster.

He did it gradually.

Finally, Qalbie arrived at the show of the curse. Everyone was amazed to see his tiny body and baby face in costume. Moreover, there was a staff and a sword in his hand.

The Academic Advisor who had known Qalbie as a gentle girl, seemed surprised to see the girl.

Qalbie's performance ended in awe and a standing ovation from the ballroom.

Almost four months he studied the moves without getting tired. Even after arriving at the boarding room, the girl was still repeating the moves she had learned with the Word.

What he achieved today, was the fruit of his hard work all along.

The words of the Word are true. Where there is a will, there must be a way.

“This all happened because of God's permission. The most important thing is that no matter what happens, never despair. Firman said, where there is a will, there must be a way.” replied Qalbie when friends who joined the dance group and blend sauara, rush him with various questions.

“Qalbie.…” Someone called the girl while she was enjoying lunch backstage.

Qalbie raised his head

When the girl realized that Rian had been standing in front of her, the rice she had just swallowed, suddenly dragged down her throat.

"Emm..yes, sister?"

“Your appearance is good, I can hardly believe that it is really you.” Rian smiled as he congratulated.

Qalbie felt his feet no longer rest on earth. Happy to see Rian smiling for the first time.

Ah .. If Rian knew that I studied desperately for him, he might be happier. Butii .. yes, that's it. Most importantly, now I'm here, at the event of his shedding.

Qalbie returned Rian's smile. “Oh .. Yes, Brother. Thank ye. Brother too, congratulations, because soon Brother will graduation.”

“Oh, yes! This...” Rian took out a present that he had been hiding since.

"Is this sister?, is this for Qalbie?"

Qalbie couldn't hide the twinkle in his eyes. The girl could not believe that the person she had longed for was smiling with a gift in her hand.

“Yes, this is for you, from friends. He said he liked you for a long time, but felt unworthy. So he chose to stay away. But after thinking again, he finally said that, if indeed he did not deserve, then from now on, he will try to be a worthy person.”

Rian said goodbye, then hurried to leave the girl

Qalbie. Look with glassy eyes. When Rian turned around, his tears dripped.

The girl is pulling deep. Trying to get rid of the pain that clogs his chest cavity.

I know, yeah Robb

Love only tells two things

Happiness and pain

Therefore I will not demand happiness, if in the end, the pain I have to gulp all the time.

Duhai Robbiii .. Give me unlimited patience. And a never-ending heart.

You are my Lord and You are my true love.

***

It's been two days that the gift just lies on the table. Not because Qalbie did not appreciate it, but disappointment has made his interest in knowing the contents of the gift is completely extinct.

Miftah glanced at the parcel

Curious about the contents. But, what can be done, let alone to open, even when asked who gave, Qalbie did not want to answer.

“Qalbie .. if you don't want to. Just for me, yeah?”

“By pleasure, Miftah. Just take it if you want.”

"Seriously?"

“Iya, I'm serious.” Qalbie replied as he opened the laboratory manual, his mood completely gone.

Miftah glanced back at the gift. Wanted to open, but still felt bad.

After all, that thing is not his right. He was sure, The Giver would be very disappointed, knowing that Qalbie had given it to someone else.

Qalbie went to the bathroom

To be honest, sometimes he was angry to want to throw away the gift, but could not bear. That's why he just let it go.

After debating conscience, Miftah finally decided to open the gift.

Anyway, I'm not gonna take the contents. Who knew Qalbie would be interested after seeing her.

Miftah tore off the wrapper, then opened the rectangular box inside.

It is a pink book with the title An-Nisaa.

Wahh .. The book is beautiful! Who gave you this book? If he is a man, he is a romantic man.

Miftah smiled anxiously reading the book. The whole thing is about women. About how Muslim women should live their lives, dress codes, speech and such.

As Miftah was reading, an envelope fell. The girl picked it up from the 'floor, then read the inscription on the front of the envelope.

“Qalbie .. This gift has the letter! From Rian, huh? How, dicekin? Don't you like Rian?” ask Miftah after Qalbie returns.

“Miftah .. can not, we do not discuss Kak Rian for a while?” pinta Qalbie, looking into her eyes revealed despair. The girl threw her body on the bed. “I don't know how else. Wonder. Is it possible that Kak Rian's heart is made of steel, stone, or something like that?”

“Cieeee .. want to move on the story?”

“Not, Miftah. I was wondering why Brother Rian never saw me.”

Miftah smiled seductively. “Who said Rian didn't see you? Isn't this from him?”

Qalbie frowning. “Not Brother Rian, but his friend!”

“Who said, if this is from a friend of Rian's sister?”

“Sister Rian himself said, that's why I'm cuekin. At first, I thought it was like that, but it wasn't. Just take it if you want.”

“You're serious I can take this? In this envelope there is the name of the sender, loh!”

"Who?"

“You are not, yes?” Miftah smiled as she lowered her eyebrows, “You know all, or want to know?”

“Ya, already if you don't want.” Qalbie covered the face with a pillow.

“The name is ... jreng .. jreng ... jreeengg ... Riiaaaann Hiiidaaayatt!”

Qalbie jumped up and took it. He looked at Miftah, making sure that the girl was not flirting.

Qalbie smiled broadly after reading the envelope. He hugged the two things while giving thanks in his heart.

Very happy to see the name of the sender is indeed Rian.

What does Rian want to say?

Qalbie sat back

Miftah approached, but the girl avoided her.

Miftah. I'm ashamed tauu.... Qalbie's cheeks are red.

Miftah can read her best friend. Moments later, he rushed out on the grounds of wanting to pick up a clothesline in the backyard.

Qalbie took a deep breath, trying to calm her heart before opening the envelope. His heart trembled as it tore the top of the envelope.

Dear,

Qalbie Nur Fatih's.

I have reached my saturation point.

I've closed my old page as a wayward, narcissistic, disrespectful Rian Hidayat who never thinks of other people's feelings.

Because yesterday, I suddenly felt tired of living like that. Suddenly I felt that I had wasted too much time. Suddenly I wanted to be a better person than I was in the days before.

I met a guy who looked like you, Qalbie. He's my cousin's brother who just finished his education in Bandung. I learned a lot from him. From his attitude, he said and also his obedience as a servant.

To be honest, I was very happy when you exposed the taste. Because from the beginning there was a sense of admiration when I first saw you. But I feel very inappropriate.

I feel that people like me, don't even deserve to admire you. I'm afraid Qalbie, I'm afraid that it's evolved into something more than awe. And it turns out, the thing I was afraid of actually happened.

But yesterday, I suddenly dared to look at you. Suddenly I thought that I could try to be the person you deserve. All of a sudden I thought that I deserved to fall in love with Qalbie. I deserve to fall in love with you.

When I ask or suddenly come, or suddenly sit next to you, even when I'm at English Camp. You know, when I do all that, honestly, I miss you.

Sorry for what I asked you that night.

Ye know? There is not a single day that I have missed without regret. I know, even saying a thousand apologies won't be enough. I-i know. And I want you to know that I'm so sorry.

Qalbie .. I wrote this letter to convey that I have arrived.

I have reached my saturation point.

Marked,

Rian Hidayat's

Qalbie soared in excitement followed by Miftah, they held hands and jumped on the floor. Tears dripped from Qalbie's eyelids.

Miftah shed tears. I am happy to see the development of their relationship.

Thank you, O God! Qalbie's struggle, finally, bears fruit as well.

Yep. They did not expect that such moments would eventually come. A moment much awaited by Qalbie.

“Why are you here? Aren't you taking the clothesline?” Qalbie is only aware of the sudden appearance of his best friend.

“Sorry, I was looking a little.”

“That's right, banned?”

“I promise, this is the first, also the last.”

“Alhamdulillaaahhh..” Qalbie smiled again. The girl was so grateful that she did not know how to express it.

They held back, continuing the delayed celebration with a carefree jump.[]
