Little Story About You

Little Story About You
CHAPTER 3: A BRIEF MEETING

Abel knocked on the glass door in front of him before entering Hugo's workspace. The girl showed a smile to Hugo when the man realized his arrival, Hugo gave him a gesture to enter.

“Should still be resting now, Bel.” Hugo asks Abel to sit down, facing a focused man with a tablet in his hand, on the sofa opposite the girl.

Abel put his sling bag on the table, then sat down. “Bosen also at home.” He said, then he took the glass mineral water arranged on the table and began to sip it.

“Sadly to your health.” Hugo looked at Abel from the bottom up. On Abel's face were two cuts, right at the temple and chin. Still closed bandage. He had heard of Abel's accident from Afreni, but regretted not being able to come, so only asked his parents to visit Abel one week ago in the hospital.

Abel reacted indifferently. “Mobil Abel aja taken care of, Bang. Abel again needs fresh air nih.”

Hugo moved to sit next to Abel. “What can Bang Hugo help with?”

“Solar Bang Hugo. Which Bang Hugo says should be fixed. In essence, if taken a long way later, Abel's car is not a problem.”

Hugo was hearing carefully. “OK. Later we go down together let Bang Hugo same mechanic crosscheck.”

“That's it dong, Bang. From the last decision to make a cepet, Abel does not need to clear at length.” Abel agreed with a carefree voice.

“OK. Bang Hugo wrong.” Said Hugo relented, making Abel so smile widely.

Hugo and Abel's gaze changed to a figure opposite them, who suddenly rose from the sofa.

“Will you walk?” hugo asked the man, who was none other than his friend and had recently returned to visit his workshop again, a workshop that had been running for five years.

“Gue still has to be in service.” The man answered while glancing at his blue watch.

Hugo patted the man on the shoulder. “Here aja lo. Gravely. Also ten minutes.” Immediately the man was taken away.

In silence, Abel looked at Hugo and the man who was talking, for a moment. His attention was distracted when he saw the white coat draped on the back of the sofa where the man was sitting. He saw the man take the suit, then began to step out of the room with Hugo.

So long Hugo was gone, making Abel unable to stand alone in the man's den, that the girl decided to go out, to the ground floor, where the whole vehicle was being repaired and cleaned. However, his footsteps suddenly stopped looking at a pouch, he took it, then opened it, he was surprised to see a black camera there. Incidentally, because he really needed the object to capture his moment today. Then Hugo rushed out.

Hugo husband Afreni─brother Ray. Hugo was the son of Abel's father's friend, so Abel already regarded the man as his own brother, because Hugo always treats it like ‘adik small’ that must be protected since getting to know each other while in SD.

“Bang Hugo!” Abel passed through the stairs with quick steps while showing the camera in his hand. “Borrow camera yes!” Can ya? Pliiisss.” He pleaded after confronting Hugo and the stranger.

Hugo stared at the man next to him for a moment, patting his back softly. As if saying he would explain to Abel under the camera is not his.

“Bel─”

“No need to give me a pinjem? Just this once. Later Abel buy for yourself.” Abel immediately cut out Hugo's sentence.

“Bang Hugo doesn't matter anyway.”

“Serious?” abel's eyes widened full of incandescent.

“Only... that camera has a friend Bang Hugo.” Regretfully glancing at the friend next to him, gesturing to Abel.

Abel's eyeballs moved slowly until his eyes collided with the stranger inside Hugo's study. Abel became so wrong because he had tried to master the property of other people who are not familiar. Then he handed it over with a nervous feeling.

“I didn't know it had..you.” His face is blushing.

The man only smiled, faintly, that was what Abel caught.

Receiving the camera back. “Thank you.” Say that man.

“Same... same. Sorry again.” Reply Abel sincerely.

The man smiled at Abel for a moment. “Jaga your health. Finish the medicine.” The man's words, sounding so caring, then he said goodbye to Hugo, leaving a look of wonder in Abel's mind, after the stranger's death.

***

Abel's bedroom door was knocked from the outside, and his mother was soon seen there carrying a tray of water and medicine.

“Minum medicine. Mama told you, don't forget.” Her mother reminded.

“Yeah, Abel almost forgot.” Abel approached his mother, then began to put each item of some kind of medicine on the tray, after that spent water in a glass.

After returning home from a tour for half a day around Jakarta, moving from one place to another, spending time and energy continue to feel bored, bored, and, about half-hour and a half-seven nights Abel had just decided to go home and arrived at home thirty minutes ago. He did not even remember his obligation to take drugs because he was engrossed in looking at the portrait taken through his cellphone camera.

Suddenly Abel remembered a foreign man in Hugo's workshop this morning.

“Who is he?” he said unconsciously, inviting a reaction to ask his mother.

“Dia?” search her mother for a moment. Then put the tray on Abel's dressing table.

“Ha?” Abel quickly found a reason. “Tadi... Abel meet...sama─”.

“Whose name?” his mother had looked at him fully in search and ruffled his waist.

“See you at a glance Mama, ” The answer went wrong. Abel dodged from his mother for a moment.

“New introduction?” her mother is still investigating. “Or Ray?”

“Not, Ma.” Abel replied in a fit of rage while pushing his mother out.

“Whose son is he?” her mother did not give up waiting for her daughter's answer.

“Mama has Abel said, meet at a glance aja.” Abel was convincing.

Her mother breathed out hard. Relented. “Judah-yawah. Hunting bed.”

Abel nodded and muttered. “Good night, Mama.”

“Can spread everywhere if mama already knows. Papa must also follow tanya.” Then Abel again let out a long sigh and sat on the edge of his mattress, his gaze immediately changed focus on the state of his room that has changed for two days.

“How can you forget the same? Even at this critical moment, you are still paying attention to me. ”

Abel's facial features turned sad after saying that, it was impossible for the arrangement of his room to be restored as before. Both Cindy and Ray must have misunderstood and thought he was still angry with both of them. Ray and Cindy don't know that she's rearranging her heart slowly. Trying to accept the situation and trying to forget the pain that is still a ghost in his mind.

His gaze unintentionally saw the bright light of his bedroom window, which came from the window opposite the house. The house belongs to Ray's family and the light he's seeing right now, the source is also from Ray's room. Abel got up from the bed, and went to the window of his room, intending to close the curtains, after he stood there, he saw Ray sitting on the balcony, writhing on his drawing paper, always as usual.

In his teens he used to scream loudly calling the man from his bedroom window, but now he won't do it again. Because the relationship between them has changed. Closed slowly curtains then followed the lights in his room, until it was completely dark.

An hour later his father came into the room, sat on the edge of the bed and met the palm and back of his hand with Abel's forehead. Then changed next to his cheek on Abel's forehead, reassuring himself about Abel's normal body temperature. Then after feeling all normal, his papa kissed the full crest of his head fondly. Done by his father since Abel was little every night coming home from work, every daughter was about or had slept.

***

“Abel.”

Abel turned his head and was surprised to see Ray had been in front of him. The trunk of the car was closed and responded to the man while leaning on the body of his car. This morning he was ready to go back to explore the corners of the city. Put the leftover food yesterday into the trunk after heating his car in the yard.

“Eh, Brother Ray. What's up?”

“You've been busy lately.”

Abel muttered and said. “Traveling is not clear.”

Ray mangosteen. “Beas.”

“Why? Any need? Yaudah tell you.”

“I'm the same Cindy agreed..” stared fixed Ray girl in front of him.

Abel was still relaxed in silence waiting for Ray to continue speaking.

“We're engaged next month.” That word is so easy to say, Ray. Making Abel almost lose his balance if he does not lean on the body of the object behind him at this time, maybe he fell a second ago.

Abel gulped down the tears that were ready to break in his throat at this time to express his gratitude for the happy news he had heard from Ray and Cindy's relationship. I don't know who should be called evil at this time. He is selfish because he has not been able to release Ray. Or two people who are kasmaran, vent their feelings so clearly.

Abel nodded. He didn't dare to talk. Afraid of her voice trembling withstood the cries and was easily captured by Ray. He extended his hand in front of Ray, expressing his joy in the man.

Ray smiled in welcome. “Still.”

***

Somehow Abel could reach the city park, sitting with his legs folded, without any pedestal on the green grass, looking in front of the pool water and the various flowers that became the pool fence. The wind blew fiercely against his face and made his hair that was broken apart. His car is parked by the highway near the park gate. But the situation in the park is still very quiet, there are no visitors or traders. Abel was the first to arrive that morning.

Abel's memory now seems to reveal slowly the facts cause pain in his heart, which strengthens Ray and Cindy are indeed attracted to each other for a long time. Especially Ray, who unhesitatingly greets her just to find out Cindy's news. The man also never hesitated to praise Cindy. Once Abel invited Ray to visit a place, but the man refused, after Abel called Cindy to participate, the man without hesitation immediately withdrew his previous decision. Another time when Ray showed off his new bike during High School class X, Abel asked to be piggybacked but Ray refused by saying Cindy should be first.

“Gue I never realized ya.” He laughed at himself.

His feelings for Ray had blinded his eyes all along. Somehow she can be pretty sure that Ray likes her too. Or Erotomania, a type of delusion in which the person in question believes that the other person is in love with him when he is not at all. Supported men are also who often show a sense of care and give attention to him. Now Abel seemed to realize, that Ray was doing it must be in the name of politeness.

“Courtesy yes.” Abel nodded and smiled bitterly. “Gue seems stupid all this time.” The girl smiled bitterly along with the clear layer that flowed under her eyes.

Abel saw a clock in his hand that showed half nine in the morning. Thirty minutes he had been in the park without feeling, the atmosphere of a quiet park that had made his mind oscillate, finally was enough to create a sense of calm for him. The girl immediately stood up from the grass while patting her knee-length denim skirt, she let out a long sigh, forcing a smile to look around.

“There are still many places I have to go. Next time I'll see you guys here.” He said, speaking to whom, but he looked one by one at the shady trees and the birds chirping from one tree to another.

Once in the car, Abel saw the calendar in his cell phone. The girl recalled and instantly counted the time off her father made at work during her illness. Still two weeks away, I don't know what to do with a time that used to be considered short, but now it turns out to be very long for him.

Suddenly his phone rang, showing his cousin's name on the screen. Before answering the call, Abel took a slow and long breath. Calm himself to sound relaxed.

“Halo Cin─” has not Abel talk full, Cindy already protest.

“Elo yes where are you anyway?!” the sound of Cindy protesting on her phone.

Abel smiled broadly. “Sori. I was bored also at home before entering work.”

Cindy nodded hard. “Every morning-blind you immediately unplug from home?” his voice returned to normal.

“Iya.” Answer's short.

They remained silent for quite a while. Abel was still waiting for Cindy to speak, but her cousin had not yet uttered a single word. Made Abel decide to reprimand Cindy.

“Cindy.”

“Eh.. Yes Bel.”.

“Lo called me, but instead diem.”

Cindy nodded weakly. Abel just doesn't know that Cindy's fighting an inner war with her own mind on the other side. The girl was confused how she should convey something important and right to Abel.

“Lo... Have you heard anything about me?” ask carefully.

Abel was still not used to hearing that, but he understood what Cindy meant now. Then he tried to respond to stay relaxed so as not to be the mind of his cousin.

“Lo same fiancee brother Ray next month means?” emphatically.

“Ooh... so you've heard ya.” Cindy's voice sounded weak.

“Kok is that lo sound? No wonder at all like happy people.”

“Bel.”

“Iya?”

“Lo sure don't like it anymore brother Ray?” Cindy just wanted to make sure again. He does not want to see Abel suffer and impress himself like an evil cousin.

“Gue sure. Yes already. I still want to walk. Just let me know later. Bye.”The second cousin's phone call was over. That actually both are still in doubt with their own decisions and words. Cindy doubted Abel's words, and Abel was well aware that he would forever be a liar.

A message from her mother suddenly came in.

Do not forget to take the medicine you are taking. Come home on time. We'll check in tomorrow at the hospital.

Abel smiled reading the attention that her mother always and still gave her despite her age has been a quarter of a century now. His mother and father treated him like a child. But he never objected and was uncomfortable, because one day, he would never feel that attention again. He could only remember in his memory.
