CHAPTER 11: THE GUILT

Ibram broke into his study after nearly three hours leaving Abel alone there. Once there, Ibram was puzzled to see Abel's whereabouts not exist. Ibram shifted the curtains and saw a small suitcase under the gurney. Then Ibram turned towards the door and stood for a long time looking for Abel's whereabouts, be it on the right side, or to the left of the front corridor of his room. There was no sign of Abel.

Ibram closed the door of his study, deciding to look around for Abel's presence briefly in the corners of the room that he could still reach in a crucial time like this during his working hours.

Arriving at the hospital's main lobby, Ibram could only stand there without being able to step outside. He couldn't if had to leave the hospital building even though it was a few steps away, while his patient list was still long.

Abel stared at the clock on his wrist which showed three o'clock past fifteen minutes, so he decided to come out of hiding, when the clock showed three o'clock past thirty minutes, he would have left the tree, because he believed Ray and Cindy must have gone a long way within a quarter of an hour.

“Why should you hide if you show yourself.” The heavy sound made Abel hold his breath for a moment. He did not dare to raise his face at all to confirm the sound, but one of his hands was suddenly pulled and forced to lift his legs from behind the tree.

Ray was stunned to hear Abel's words just now. He's been quiet for a long time. Then he let out a heavy sigh, still wanting to make Abel believe him. His voice was lower than before. He realized, his attitude had already made Abel feel depressed. Then, he moved forward, placed both hands on Abel's shoulders and stared deeply at the girl's bead. His eyes turned soft.

“I'm worried about you. I'm sincerely worried.” Ray said really.

Abel's lips curved as if mocking Ray's sentence just now.“I'm not a special person to worry about. Why bother worrying about everything? Release!”Abel retreated and threw Ray's hand off his shoulder.

“Should special people be worried?”

Next to Ray's brows moved as if mocking Abel. The man remained staring at Abel calmly. Abel quickly pushed Ray and took the opportunity to unlock the door and door beside him automatically, then immediately got out and ran away from the man's car. Looking back, Ray was also about to chase after him behind, Abel quickly crossed the road and stopped the first taxi he saw.
