CHAPTER 14: SELFISHNESS

The clock has already shown the number seven past.

The sky and the sea in front of Ibram and Abel had turned dark. Both are on top

boat to return to the inn on the island of Harapan.

About an hour on the way, finally from the boat, Ibram and Abel can see the island of Hope which looks more beautiful by the lights on that night.

“In two nights, this is the second time I am lucky to see the view of the lights at night.”Abel.

Hearing Abel's confession just now, Ibram looked at the girl for a long time.

“I have to thank you. It all happened because of you. Maybe, if it wasn't you, I couldn't see things as beautiful as this.”

Ibram smile.

Abel looked at Ibram now.“I'll have to buy you a meal next time.”

“OK. I wait.”

The two smiled at each other ending their small talk once the boat had reached the point of the Harapan island pier.

After getting off the boat, Ibram and Abel initially still seemed happy to throw jokes at each other, but in just a matter of seconds it all changed.

The two were stunned as soon as they saw someone familiar standing tall in front of them at this moment.

Instantly, the atmosphere turned gripping and created tension and fear right then and there. Especially Abel.

Ray smiled sinisterly at Ibram and Abel in front of him at this moment. He took a step forward to erode the distance between himself and Ibram, and Abel.

“You think you can get away from my watch.” Ray's slanted smile was engraved clearly, as if mocking Ibram and Abel. Stared Abel this time.“I'm watching you through him. From the beginning I was sure your movements were the same.” Ray pointed at Ibram with his chin.

Ibram glanced at Abel for a moment and continued his footsteps without saying anything. At the time he was about to cross paths right at Ray's side, his arm was immediately held firmly by Ray, making his footsteps inevitably stop.

Ray's attitude just made Abel who witnessed it hold his breath because he was worried that there would be a fistfight between the two.

Lo is nobody.” With Ray's flickering teeth saying it was full of pressure on Ibram, even Ibram could feel that pressure not only on the sound, but on his arm held firmly by Ray.

Ibram glanced at Abel through his shoulder. “Why? You like Abel?” Ibram asked in a calm voice to Ray. That sentence invited a faint smile on his lips, as it managed to make Ray's hand finally slip from his arm. Ibram approached to erode his distance with Ray again.“Take good care of your woman, if she is afraid she turns to other men. If you can, tie him up. Selfish.” Ibram's reply was more intense.

Ray stared intently at Ibram with a feeling that almost exploded. Suppressed desperately his fury, which was visible from the powerful fist of his hand at this moment.

Although he could not catch the conversation Ibram and Ray, Abel saw Ray seemed to be affected by Ibram's speech. Unfortunately, he couldn't do anything at the moment.

Ibram patted Ray twice on the shoulder before continuing his steps that had stopped, he walked further away leaving Abel alone with Ray behind.

Abel's panicked. Ibram continued to leave without leaving a single word to her. When his gaze met with Ray, Abel could only resign with Ray's hardened face holding back the current anger. The man also walked up to him. Abel was stunned when his wrist was suddenly cupped by Ray.

“We go home.” Ray said sharply.

“Lease!” abel's hand escaped Ray's. He ignored the sharp glare that was skinning him right now. He just wants to be with Ibram now. Abel ran after Ibram who was far in front of him at this time.“Ibram!”Abel called the man.

Ibram stopped and turned to look at Abel.

“I'm coming with you.” He stared straight at Ibram with eyes begging that the man did not ignore himself facing Ray.“Pliss help me. You already know all my problems. Now, I don't care anymore, you can interfere with our problems. I beg.”Abel's voice was already trembling almost crying in front of Ibram.

“Abel!” Ray caught up and quickly held Abel's hand until the girl was distraught away from Ibram.

Ibram seemed annoyed by Ray's rude attitude just now. He forward held Ray's shoulder.“You can relax, right? Is this your treatment to him behind his parents?”

Ray jerked Ibram's hand and pushed it rough.“Lo who? Why are you meddling in our affairs?”

“Kasih Abel chance to make a sound. It's her life. Any decision is his right. Not you.” Ibram said in a calm voice.

“Soaring!”Ray pushes Abel until the girl's body is pushed and falls against the road.

“Kak Ray stop!” pinta Abel was crying in fear. He was really afraid Ray would do more harm to Ibram. Abel hurriedly stood up, not letting the worse happen until it happened, until the only way he made was to give up the situation.“I'm coming home!” He said with a desperate scream.

Finally Ray stopped and released Ibram from his grip.

Abel sighed and returned to breathing a sigh of relief. But he had to endure the sadness of seeing Ibram's condition. Abel was only able to resign when Ray pulled himself away leaving Ibram alone there, unable to do anything about it. He regrets and feels guilty for Ibram. But he had to do it for the good of the man as well. If only he had not implicated the man, it would not have been to the point of becoming a victim of the anger of Ray at this moment.

He had created a wound in the heart of the man who had done him a lot of good lately. He's been ravaging Ibram's life away from trouble all along. When Ibram's gaze with his gaze met, Abel used the opportunity to open his lips without making a sound.

Early in the morning at about six o'clock, Ray immediately forced Abel to leave Harapan island to immediately go to Marina Ancol Jakarta pier. Still using speed boat. Abel resigned considering the circumstances of Ibram last night.

During the trip until his return to Jakarta, Abel ignored Ray's whereabouts, though many times the man tried to talk to him. Abel did not care and pretended to be asleep all the way on the boat.

Abel's footsteps suddenly stopped when he arrived at the Marina Ancol pier, he was greeted by Cindy there. The girl had been waiting and looked at Abel anxiously. Especially after hearing from Ray last night.

“Abel.” Cindy's voice was really full of anxiety.

“Not to be so good!” abel Ketus's Response. Cindy's Through. He ignored the call after call that he heard from Cindy's voice, until his cousin managed to match his footsteps with her.

“Gue is worried about you. I don't trust that doctor. His attitude is strange.”

Abel's leg suddenly stopped, looked at Cindy.“I think the strange is precisely the same elo him!” He pointed to Ray who was stepping slowly towards them.

“We don't trust that doctor. That's why we want to start lo.” Cindy's light remains soft.

Abel's eyeballs spun upwards hearing Cindy's sentence which he thought was still pretentious in front of him. Cindy's hands were quite rough. “Gue go home. Tired of constantly draining emotions with you guys.” His words passed from the face of Cindy.

“Abel!”

What Abel heard the next sound was Ray's heavy voice. But he did not heed it at all, he continued to tread with sweat that began to appear on his temples and neck, due to the scorching sunlight that afternoon.
