Actually Cantika's heart felt like it was torn to shreds. How not only does his best friend know how he feels and his past and the only person he loves who has ever hurt him. Cantika felt like he wanted to be angry but was confused how to vent his anger. I wanted to cry but was afraid that my husband would know. Cantika can only harbor the taste itself.
