The cancer halfway house called Embracing Asa in the afternoon is quite crowded. There was a sense of hesitation when I saw the gazes thrown from some of the people who were there as I passed them and walked along with Galih's doctor.

"Mas Galih." A middle-aged woman stepped wide to approach Galih's doctor not forgetting her lips that curled a friendly smile.

"Healthy, Mom?" doctor Galih kissed the woman's hand politely.

"Thank God be healthy."

Then the eyeballs of women I felt this mother's age fell on me. I don't want to smile clumsy.

"Who is this?" askinya.

"Name Nana, Mom. He wants to teach children to write poetry. It just so happens that Nana's a literature student." Doctor Galih answered. "Na, this is Bu Anggi. He as the head of the housekeeper stopped by Embracing this Asa."

I nodded politely as I reached out to invite Bu Anggi to shake hands. "Nana, Mom."

"Call me Mother" replied Bu Anggi.

I nodded in understanding.

"Come, please sit." Bu Anggi invited me and doctor Galih to sit down. Again this sofa in the living room required me to sit next to Galih's doctor.

"Thank you very much, Neng, for taking her time."

I reviewed the smile "Sama-sama, Bun. It's good to share with the kids here."

My smile was greeted with a sparkling face from Bu Anggi. "Later Neng Nana after painting class huh? Wait a minute, at most fifteen more minutes are done. Neng Nana and Mas Galih want to drink what?"

"White water, Mom." Doctor Galih answered quickly.

I want a fresh drink with ice cubes. But whatever the power, whatever the same doctor Galih must have commented. Tell me not to drink too much ice, what.

Bu Anggi back. Leave me and doctor Galih both in the living room. My eyeballs circulate exploring this halfway house. The shape of the building is circular like a school building. There was a large field in the middle. There are classrooms, bedrooms, there is a playground that blends with the field, and several other facilities.

"This halfway house the doctor founded?"

"I, Ms. Anggi, and other doctor friends. It's just that we can't come here every day, so Bu Anggi and some of the workers who are in charge of taking care of this halfway house" explained Galih.

"What is this halfway house usually used for, Doc?"

"This halfway house was built to help parents who are trying to treat their children's diseases. Moreover, those from the village continue to be referred to the Capital, they must have difficulty finding a place to live as long as their children get treatment. In this halfway house, we provide shelter until their child is completely healed."

My eyes are round in amazement. "Free?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"Wow." I'm made gawking.

Doctor Galih chuckled at my reaction which might be excessive. How can I not be surprised, if it turns out all the facilities here are free. "We also provide home schooling education for children. We are looking for educators who are appropriate to the child's educational age level. From PAUD to SMA. We also provide education about cancer to parents to raise the spirit of parents not to give up to heal their children."

The one thing that came back made me feel sorry for this one doctor. "That's a glory, Doc."

"Alhamdulillah. Hopefully it becomes a charity field for me and the team who have worked hard to build a cancer shelter house Embrace this Asa. And thank God many have believed in us."

"Please drink." Bu Anggi came back with a tray, kept it on the table.

"Thank you, Mother." I immediately took a glass of water because it was very thirsty.

"Together." Bu Anggi smiled then sat down on the single sofa.

"Nana's still in college? What semester?"

"Semester 6, Mother." I put the remaining water in the glass on the table again.

"Where is Mas Galih? Friend or maybe a future wife?"

God, what kind of temptation is that? Temptation that managed to make me misbehavior and shame. While Galih's doctor laughed as if not bothered by the question.

"Mother can do it. Every time I bring a girlfriend, Mom says wife-to-be" she cheesed.

Thankfully not yet baper.

"Next, Mas Galih is the only unmarried doctor from his class, Na. Don't know what used to be so that the soul mate is not taken care of?"

I could only smile a little to reply to Bu Anggi's taunts for Galih's doctor.

I saw doctor Galih taking a drink before answering. "If there's been a soul mate, I won't be long, ma'am."

"Well, the answer is always that."

Doctor Galih laughed again. It seems like today I will hear a lot of laughter from doctor Galih.

"Well, that's Ms. Fitri already out." The act of literacy from Bu Anggi was finished when he saw a woman coming out of the classroom followed by children who scattered out of the classroom cheerfully. They are like healthy children in general, like they do not have a deadly disease.

"Rest first for fifteen minutes," continued Bu Anggi.

I nodded slowly.

Fifteen minutes later I was accompanied by doctor Galih into the classroom. Students totaled fifteen people. Bu Anggi said, if in formal school students of this class have sat in class IX.

"Good afternoon everyone!" doctor Galih greeted with a spirit that was greeted with cheers no less than the spirit of the students.

"Yeay, there's Doctor Om." One of the students screamed while prancing around.

"How are you all?"

"Good, Om."

I've been listening to the expression of Dr. Galih. It was very exciting when he was faced with these children.

"Well guess who the doctor brought?"

"His girlfriend, Om!" the curse came from the student who sat at the front. Others greeted with laughter.

You little boy!

"No, this is his friend Doctor Om," Galih replied casually. Then he glanced at me. "Don't take it, Na."

"That's, Doc?"

"Who knows more than a boyfriend."

Eh?

Suddenly tension came upon my body. I had to swallow the saliva with great difficulty. Doctor Galih must be joking again.

"Every time I joke, why is it so tense?"

Nah right?

"Grandfather, know this sister Nana. You will learn to do poetry with Nana. Who likes poetry?"

"I, Om."

"Me too, Om."

There are so many atmosphere of this class, although only fifteen people but their passion in learning is very high.

"Well, Om has some good news. A week away from the birthday of the halfway house, there will be many races, one of which is a poetry reading competition of his own work. The poem should be parent-themed. The winner will get an interesting prize."

"What's the prize, Om?"

"Secret dong. Want to win?"

"YES!!!"

"If you want, you must learn with passion. Remember, the theme is about parents. Ready it?"

"READY, OM!"

Seeing their spirit, I became ashamed of myself. I have no shortcomings, but I still complain a lot. But they, they are fighting cancer and the spirit is incredible.

"Na, I'm staying then."

"Yes, Doc. Thanks," I said slowly.

I exhaled to cover my nerves. I have no experience of being a teacher. Moreover, the gazes of all the students were pointing at me.

"Hallo, Brother."

"Have you ever studied poetry?" ask pleasantries.

"Ear!"

"Well, this time the poem we're going to make is about parents. What is the parent figure in your eyes?"

The student who interrupted his girlfriend, Om raised his hand.

"Please introduce first," I said with a nod of the head.

"My name is Jensen, I'm fourteen. I think that parents are very valuable because they take good care of me" he explained.

"Rubber. Someone else will argue."

One of the students sitting in the middle raised his hand.

"Yes, please, introduce."

"My name is Melia, for me parents are angels without wings."

That word touched my heart. Parents are angels without wings.

"Okay, applause for Jensen and Melia."

They clapped.

"Well, before you write poetry, you have a poem that you wrote about Mom. Wanna hear it?"

"You dong!"

I smiled, reached into my pants pocket and picked up a piece of paper containing a poem I wrote. Standing in front of the class, all serious eyes stared at me. I opened the paper, took a breath before starting to read the poem.

Mothers...

My future is in your gentle gaze.

My success was made by your prayers.

I love you, I love you,

Mother.

I gave the best smile to all the students after reading the poem. They clapped.

"Now you try to write a poem about your father, mother, or both. Thirty minutes. Later on I'll check the results."

"Sister, what if I can't?" ask Melia.

"Anything first," I replied.

They welcomed enthusiasm. Starting to open the notebook, they seemed to contemplate thinking before starting to write poetry.

Thirty minutes later.

"Grandfather, time's up. Let's gather your work forward." I'm interrupting.

Some students complained, saying it was not finished. But they still collected a piece of paper containing their poetry onto the teacher's desk. I read their poems one by one, not as good as the poetry of High School students, students, or writers. Even so, I still appreciate their willingness and passion to write poetry.

I evaluated a bit, then gave back the poetry paper to their respective owners.

"Who dares to read his poetry in front. Hold hands!"

All quiet. Glancing at each other. Then Melia raised her hand so boldly.

"Come, Mel, go!"

Melia nodded, walked forward and then stood at the center of the class.

Mom, nine months I'm you're born.

You took care of me until I was born into the world.

Your fight is incredible.

Mom, you're tirelessly taking care of me.

Educate me until I grow up.

Praying for me in every bow.

Mom, you're precious. You're an angel without my wings.

I smiled proudly at Melia. Convinced he has the potential to become a writer or poet if his talents continue to be honed.

"Give the most thunderous applause for Melia!" I cried while applauding and was followed by all the students.

"Grandfather, your poetry is already amazingly cool. Next week you show the poem to your parents and all your friends. Ready it?"

"Ready, Brother!"

"Sister, you're still here, right?" melia's question is hard for me to answer. This is all I was offered suddenly by Galih's doctor.

"Later ask the same Doctor, yes" I replied as if.

"Okay, Brother."

"Then, our meeting ends here. Next week, Brother will try to be present to see your appearance."

"YES!!!" they cheerfully.

After teaching. I didn't go straight home. Dr. Galih invites children to play first at the halfway house. Before Maghrib, the children were asked to enter the dormitory. While doctor Galih approached me who was sitting on a park bench. I saw doctor Galih rubbing a sweat on his forehead.

"Yes, Doc."

"This is the way things are going here" he replied. "Na, about what I said that was joking yesterday, what if one day I get serious?"

I looked quickly at him. My heart is hard to control again. My eyes squinted at the look on his face from the side.

"That's, Doc?"

This time he turned his head and our eyeballs collided. I stared confusedly, while she reviewed the mysterious smile.

"Stay yes, Na. Let me know you."

Holy hooch!

"I don't understand, Doc."

Relax, Na. Don't be so confident anymore.

"Maybe my feelings of awe will change over time."

"Doctor's convoluted," I complained.

"I've always been amazed by a tough woman. I used to be amazed at one woman because of the toughness of her heart. He who was left married, but still able to come to the wedding of his girlfriend who married another woman. One thing that made me finally fall in love with her. Then I met you, you are tough because you dare to live independently in Jakarta. You who I believe love both your parents very much. That's what amazes me."

"So?"

"If one day I fall in love with you, do you mind?"

What kind of question is that? We're still staring, my feelings are getting less and less. From yesterday, doctor Galih always threw almost the same joke as just now. But this time, it was so serious. I swallowed the saliva with great difficulty trying to relax in a moment when the heart rumbled.

I took a deep breath. "So, it's too early to talk about love. We even know each other for a week. Mobile phone number has not been tukeran, already discussed about love," I argue. I'm just limiting myself to not getting hurt again.

Laughter doctor Galih airs. He leaned his back against the back of the bench. The carrying was very enjoyable, even though I had been trembling amazingly. "Yes, yeah. Too much as it is."

Like being thrown back to the bottom of a cliff. My lips force a smile. "Yes, Doc. I am happy to know the doctor."

"Yes that. When else do you have a handsome doctor like me."

Doctor Galih who exactly is this?
