Durjana's In-law

Durjana's In-law
Chapter 46. Sad Ending

Hanum only found out when he returned home. It was David who came to see the baby. It was a bit surprised, but Hanum was also unlikely to visit him in this kind of position.

"Yes, is it?" ask Hanum.

"Yes. He had been sick, then the company cut off the work relationship unilaterally because he had not entered for a long time. Heard from his neighbor, he was very sick. I just don't know" explained David.

"Well, his mother must have got that karma!" sahut Wardani growled.

When Hanum visited David, of course, he was not alone. Wardani who was always beside him as a friend and close relative.

"Maybe. His former wife is also getting married. I think Ismawan is completely abandoned by everyone" David replied.

Actually Hanum was sad to hear that the father of his son was suffering like that. What about her mother? Is he feeling humble now? Or even more elevated to see the condition of his son?

"Already, Vid. Come on, drink the coffee!" wardani's orders. He saw how Hanum's face started to change.

"Thank you." David immediately took the glass following his saucer. Although the coffee has begun to cool, but the man seemed to deliberately slow down time.

Meanwhile, in the residence of Kasmirah, Ismawan increasingly seen to have no spirit of life. Even at the birth of her baby, she did not know. His condition is very concerning. Kasmirah also could not take him to go for treatment.

"Is, forgive mom." Kasmirah's cries broke. All this time he's been making other people's lives suffer. Now it's his turn to get a pretty big disaster.

"Mother will ask Hanum to come here. I know it's wrong, but for your recovery, I'll try my best" Kasmirah continued.

Sometimes the liver injury that is often buried will have a fatal impact. Ismawan did not get the opportunity to devote all his problems to others. His happiness was also inhibited by his mother. He tried to make his mother not angry and follow all her requests, but in reality Ismawan lost to his body.

His body was thin, his eyes were sunken, and looked extremely unkempt. The drugs that should be consumed are no longer touched. He felt that there was no point in living without a definite purpose.

Ismawan could no longer speak. Only tears could be seen coming out of the corner of her eyes. It was like an undead waiting to die.

Suddenly Ismawan began to shorten his breath. Then seizures for no reason. Kasmirah was terrified so he called a doctor not far from his home.

"Sir Doctor, help my son, sir!" pinta Kasmirah with tears.

"Mas Is why, Mom?" ask doctor.

"He's having a seizure, Doctor. Please look," Kasmirah explained.

When Kasmirah panicked, at the residence Hanum was no less panicked. Attar's baby, who had fallen asleep, suddenly cried hysterically. Hanum, Wardani, and David were surprised.

"Num, Attar's been drinking ASI?" Search Wardani.

"Already, War. Why?" ask Hanum.

Hanum's current position was sitting on a chair, while Wardani held Attar and tried to calm him down. All efforts were tried, but Attar did not remain silent.

"Is he sick?" ask David.

"The body's not hot either, David. She may be sick" Wardani replied.

"You're right, War. He seemed restless and his sleep was not sound. It happened a few days ago. I checked his temperature with a thermometer, but it wasn't hot. Just fussing every night. I'm tired of staying up alone" explained Hanum.

"Then I will come to Ismawan's house. Who knows if his father came and carried your son, Attar can calm down again" Wardani proposed.

"I'll call you first, War. Who knows Mas Is will pick up my phone," said Hanum because he did not want to bother others.

After trying twice, apparently Ismawan's phone can not be contacted. Hanum thought it was Ismawan's attempt to stay away from him.

"No response, War. The mobile operator replied that the number was off" Hanum said sadly.

"Me?" David pointed to himself.

"Yes! Do you want to be here and get slandered? Ismawan is also your friend, isn't he?" ask Wardani.

Finally, David and Wardani go to Ismawan's house. However, how shocked they were when they saw the yellow flag in front of the entrance gate. David stopped his bike not far from there.

"War, at Ismawan's house someone died. Maybe his mother, right?" ask David.

"Maybe, but there's no harm in getting close. Thank goodness if we go in and say innalilahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun," said Wardani.

"Innalilahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun" said David later.

Intended to enter, but a greeting from Ismawan's neighbor made the two men freeze. They were completely shocked and still could not believe it.

"Pity, yes, is young, but it has to end that way" a passerby told the person next to him.

"Yes. He was a good man, but he had to die like that. He's been sick for a long time and fired from his job" said the other.

The sound is quite clear. So Wardani also came down from David's bonds to get clarity on the two people's words.

"Sorry, ma'am, may I ask you something?" It was one of Wardani's attempts to get information.

"Yes, please," replied the woman who first spoke.

"Who died, Mom?" ask Wardani.

"Oh, that's Mas Is, Ma'am. Mas Ismawan, Bu Kasmirah's son. A few weeks ago I was suddenly very sick. Now her mother is alone. Actually pity too, but know what her mother herself is like," explained the other woman.

"Hus, don't talk about people like that. Not everyone can be good" the other mother scolded.

"Alright, Mom. Thanks for the answer." Wardani is back to David. His sad face immediately flashed. "Poor Attar, Vid. That little baby was already left by his father's death."

"How do we talk to Hanum? She also just gave birth. It was impossible to come to the funeral so quickly. At least wait for the breathing period to be over. Pity him" said David bowed.

"We'll just tell Hanum. Let him decide" Wardani advised.

Upon his return, Wardani became anxious. He was afraid of mispronouncing Hanum. When they returned, Hanum did manage to calm the baby down. However, when Wardani came and made a sound, the baby came back crying.

"What is this, War? Why is my son crying again?" ask Hanum frustrated.

"Num, I'm sorry we had to bring you bad news. Ismawan passed away, Num" Wardani said.

"Innalilahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun, Mas Is!" pekik Hanum's. His voice made his son cry even louder.

The drama made Wardani not bear. Hanum had to fight alone without anyone's company. Even her desire to have another relationship with her ex-husband seems to be just a dream. They are so far apart and so far apart.

While Kasmirah, all who have left will never return. Free also regret because all of that is the fruit of his own actions. His actions that never appreciated others.

Now, Kasmirah and Hanum decide to live each other's lives without intervening again. Hanum also decides to leave his workplace and choose a new place. He also did not accept David because Ismawan's shadow will always be with him.

"Let's take care of Attar together, yes, Mas" Hanum said as she visited Ismawan's grave on the 40th day after her ex-husband's death. "I'm going to leave this place and start a new life together with Attar."
