Durjana's In-law

Durjana's In-law
Chapter 24. Contracting Plan

The conditions were quite complicated, but Ismawan in the end wanted to go to the hospital to run health tests first. It's a procedure used to find out how healthy a husband and wife are.

If the health test is out, the doctor will suggest several pregnancy programs that are likely to be suitable. It can also be through fertilization directly or even other ways. It depends on the condition of the couple.

"I'm so excited, Num. I hope the test results are okay" Ismawan said after leaving the gynecologist's office.

"Me too, Mom. We just have to be sure everything is healthy. At least we still have a chance to have children."

There was actually still a wedge in Hanum's mind. Although she is healthy, but the pressure of the mind and prolonged stress will definitely affect this pregnancy program. Although back again it also depends on the provision of Allah SWT.

"Mas, Mom's condition has improved. How about we cost or at least the house contract," said Hanum so that makes Ismawan stop his steps.

"What do you mean, Num? Mom's home alone. You're leaving my mother?" Ismawan felt that Hanum no longer cared about his mother.

"It's not so, Mom. We just split up the house until I got pregnant, Mas. If you want me to pay attention to you, don't worry. I'll prepare the food and drive him there. At least until we get past the conditions given by Mother, Mas. I don't want you to marry Ayu. I better give up."

There is a sense of sadness and hurt to hear Hanum's words. Could Ismawan this time agree to his request?

"I'll think about it, Num."

"Mas, don't tell Mom, will you? I'm not feeling good. This is only until we get through the exam."

"If we fail, how? Do I also have to marry Ayu?"

It was Hanum's turn to be silent. Indeed, as humans must try first, and then leave everything to the Creator.

"Mas, positive thinking, yuk. Nothing is in vain with us sure that everything will go smoothly. Only problem is I hope you agree with my advice, Mas. Try telling me Mom slowly, huh?"

Being in the midst of an equally stubborn person, Hanum had to try his best to take the middle side. He also cannot mispronounce.

"Mom, there's something I want to talk about" said Ismawan who had just arrived home. "Num, go to the kitchen. Make me coffee and tea for Mom."

Ismawan deliberately asked his wife to stay away so that there was no quarrel. Moreover, the thing that will be discussed contains a commotion.

"What's wrong? Has the result come out? Is Hanum really barren?" Kasmirah was very enthusiastic when Hanum experienced these bad things.

"It's not about that, Mom. It's just that there's something else and I hope you can hear the reason."

Kasmirah is trying to guess. If Ismawan and Ayu's wedding plans are still in suspension, then what will Ismawan say in a moment? Suddenly Kasmirah's feelings became uncomfortable.

"What's wrong? Have you given up on Hanum?"

Ismawan. "It's about me, Hanum, and Mom. All this time I did not know what happened to Hanum because–"

"Well, that's great! Your wife's been complaining about mom, huh? He's been slandering mother anything? Come on, say it, Is! Let me know how sneaky Hanum is."

Ismawan took a deep breath. He had to find the right words so as not to hurt his mother.

"No, Ma. Hanum did not complain to Is. It's just a matter of calm. I hope Mom understands too. So, please listen to Is well, ma'am."

"Hemm, say!"

"Hanum and I are planning on contracting a house, Mom."

"What's? Do you want to leave mom alone at home? Hanum really is a selfless ghost! Her mother-in-law was ill instead of being treated, but instead wanted to be left behind. I told you I didn't agree to marry Hanum. Ngeyel, anyway!" wrath Kasmirah.

Not yet finished there, Hanum who is still preparing hot water for coffee and tea must leave the kitchen because of the shrill voice of his mother-in-law.

"Hanum! Here you are!"

"What's up, Mom?"

Hanum's gaze could not be separated from her husband. While Kasmirah looked at Hanum with a nyalah look and was very intimidating.

"You brainwashed my son, huh? What do you mean ask my son to contract the house? Much money? Oh, or are you intentionally unwilling to take care of me? Your disobedient ghost!"

"Mom, calm down. Num, you better go back to the kitchen. You must have turned off the stove, right? Just go back to the kitchen and finish the coffee I asked for" Ismawan ordered.

"Wait, Num! Don't run!" shout Kasmirah.

"Mom, please don't scream. Let Hanum finish his business in the kitchen. After that, we talk again," said Ismawan to seduce his mother.

Hanum returns to the kitchen after being convinced by her husband. The water in the pot was already boiling so he immediately brewed tea and coffee. After that he picked up the tray and carried it forward.

Hanum put on the table according to their respective positions. Kasmirah remained silent as she waited for Hanum to return.

"Sit down!" kasmirah Order.

Hanum sat right next to her husband. Ismawan was still silent with his thoughts. It turned out to be so hard to convince her mother and obey Hanum's wishes.

"What do you mean ask Ismawan to contract the house? Is this house so narrow that you want to take my son out of his own house. Say it!"

"Mom, Hanum apologized earlier. There was no such intention, but Hanum also wanted to get pregnant. If you are in this house and there are still many jobs that Hanum must complete, Hanum's rest time is getting reduced. Especially a while ago I just got out of the hospital. So, Hanum had to really go through a period of healing quietly."

Kasmirah cannot lose. Ismawan is the only child he has. If you get out of your own house, what about people?

"Mom disagrees. Remember yes, Num. This is Ismawan's house. If he gets out of this house, what do the neighbors say? His mother threw out her own son. You like it when mom gets bullied by a lot of people. You're satisfied, aren't you?"

"Mom, it's not like that. Give us a month to prove that Hanum can get pregnant." Ismawan opened his voice after seeing his wife cornered.

"You guys are funny, yeah. If you want to get pregnant, get pregnant. It has nothing to do with the house contract or whatever it is. If it is fertile and destined to have children, wherever the place can still be. Don't just excuse yourself!" Kasmirah cursed Hanum.

Hanum just wants peace. He needed time to get rid of the pressure during his time with his mother-in-law who was very toxic.
