Indri repeatedly checked his appearance. Just a gray striped white shirt suit, dark blue jeans, and a cream-colored cloth jacket with a hood. There is nothing wrong, but the woman seems to think she is still not worth seeing. Though the men who were milling around him actually glanced at him fascinated. Indri more nailed his focus on the airport exit while occasionally glancing at the clock on his phone. His heart was still fast. He was impatient by the longing and nervous.
The waiting finally seemed. Indri couldn't possibly have mistaken the silvery-gray-jacketed man who was pulling the suitcase there. His heart seemed to stop when that figure also saw himself. His body could not move as the man turned the direction of the road into place. The closer, the more obvious the change in men after three years they had not met. The man's facial lines had already become more firm and his body was slightly taller. When the man finally arrived in front, they just shook their heads for a long time and looked into each other's eyes deeply.
Indra moved her lips, smiling faintly. "I'm home."
The reply from the fiancee was a tight hug that was immediately given. Indri buried his face deeply in the shoulder of the man while holding the heat in the eye. He missed the smell of the man's pine. His congested breath tried to be stopped from relaxing. "Welcome," she softly said.
A few minutes later Indra replied with a warm embrace and a gentle swipe at Indri's head. They don't care about the people around who become melancholy from seeing such a romantic scene. Let it. Indra has been studying abroad for three full years. That's his goal since childhood. Precisely because he misses his lover and does not want the woman to be approached by another man during his leave, Indra managed to finish his studies in just three years and got the title he wanted, he said, then finally able to reach Indri again like this and found the ring on the girl's ring finger still remains there.
After a short meal, before leaving the airport, Indri contacted his family first. It was because Indra would stay for a while at his house. Indri's house is not actually in that city. However, since Indri's house is the closest, Indra will stop there for a while before returning to his house in a village further away. Although the origin of their residence was a bit far away like this, they were able to meet because Indra went to school in the city. Although Indra actually comes from a family that is not so rich, while Indri is actually a daughter of the mayor, they never bother about that status.
Little long Indri talking on the phone. His face slowly shriveled. It cringes turbidly. After a smile at the end of the conversation, Indri hung up the phone and looked at Indra sungkan. "The road to my house is in a landslide. It's a storm around there, too."
Indra had expected it since he saw the sighting of a storm cloud far north as he was on the plane earlier. The man nodded in understanding.
"Ibuku ... proposed to stay at the hotel," said Indri nervously. "How's it?"
"Good idea, but I'm trying to downsize. My savings have been spent abroad." Indra raised his hand when Indri was about to speak. "And I don't want to trouble you." The man thought for a moment, then a little looked away. "What if it's in my old apartment?"
The new Indri will nod, but he just imagined: doesn't that mean he will also stay at the man's apartment? His face was blushing, especially when he found Indra was also still awkwardly silent. It turns out that that also makes Indra rather hesitant to propose. In fact, this is not the first time Indri has stayed at Indra's apartment since they got engaged four years ago. However, this became a bit awkward again as it had been three years since they were in long distance contact. "It's okay," she replied rather embarrassedly. "I didn't bring much money either. Ah, so you haven't taken your apartment off? Since High School?"
"I still have the lease. Just in case I have to go to the capital like now." Indra rubbed his neck stiffly. "We're going there now?"
The first thing they do when they get to the apartment is to clean for a while. Not much dust to be cleaned because Indra last left the apartment in a clean and neat state. The apartment was not very luxurious and was located a bit on the edge of the city, but quite close to their old school and comfortable to live in. The facilities are also complete, in the sense that it consists of all the facilities that are mandatory. Afterwards, they cooked and ate dinner together. The rest of the time was spent chatting lightly while laying their heads on each other's shoulders on the sofa, plus a television that lit up in front but was not really watched. They tell stories about their lives and problems while spending a few packs of potato chips that had been purchased at the supermarket. It was one of their simple hobbies whenever Indri came to visit.
And the moment that made them awkward. Time to go to bed. Again, this is not the first time Indri stayed, in the sense that this is not the first time he slept with Indra. They just sleep together without any other activities. The man still treated him with respect and courtesy because Indra is not the type of person who is easily provoked or tempted. It felt like after three years of not seeing each other, sleeping together became a bit awkward. Even so, Indra could still appreciate it. The man behaved as he did when they did this. Indra had promised - even swore - would not cross his boundaries even though Indri asked. Indra did not want to hurt the woman and wanted to make her happy at the right time.
Then Indri need not worry. He had known for a long time how much Indra valued himself and always carefully and gently treated him. The woman can sleep soundly in the warm embrace of the fiancee, confident that the sturdy arm will never hurt her, it will always protect her.
