"You've known each other for a long time."
Indri only smiled stifledly when one of the students commented on his relationship with Indra. "We've known it since our first year of school."
"No. I mean, you guys seemed to know a long time before that. Just to you, Indra is different."
"Yes. Indra looks so different when it's with you." The other students responded in a seductive tone. "I'm curious. What would happen if you walked in the city like most lovers?"
When his friends were busy joking and commenting, Indri momentarily pondered the words of the schoolgirl.
Indri was curious. How's it feel?
"Huh?" Indra looked in wonder. The young man did not step in to return home and face Indri completely. "Tumben you want to go there."
"Just want to" replied Indri origin. He pretended to look the other way. "Tonight."
Indra looked at him, fondling. "All right."
It just so happened that night was Sunday night. Indri can immediately prove his curiosity without worrying about exams or practice the next day. All at once, it was the first time they had actually dated. That is, a date that has no study sessions.
Indri did not feel the need to polish themselves. A simple white knee-length dress and a brown belt that hugged the waist was enough for her. Plus the same brown vest along the arm, the girl did nothing more to her body and soon came to Indra who she believed was waiting outside her house.
If Indri does not remember that he tried to hide his true intentions, the girl will actually behave that this is a real date.
The senses now are certainly much different from those at school. No more high school uniforms and training shirts and pants every time they study together. Plain white shirts were worn and wrapped in a dark brown leather jacket and long sleeves. There was a hairy hood on the jacket and made it appear warmer to wear. While his trousers are brownish black and only feet. Indra doesn't change her appearance anymore, but that simple change makes her look more stylish.
Indra blinked to see Indri was precisely staring at the doorway. "It's over?"
Indri gasped and hurriedly closed the door, then preceded Indra stiffly. "Come on."
The place that Indri Pinta is the town square. On weekends, the majority of people will gather there because of the presence of various entertainment both from inside and outside. You could say, the weekly night market. Fatty release after a busy week.
Indri was busy circulating a glance, flabbergasted. He rarely went there because he always used the weekend to do his hobby as a writer, but now he regrets. It's a beautiful atmosphere downtown. Hundreds of golden-lit lanterns hung overhead. Many people are full of joy and happiness. The cheers of young children and the spirit of teenagers. Food stalls and stalls are well lined. Plus some shows and dramas that enliven some corners of the square. This is the crowd that Indri likes.
Suddenly Indra grabbed the arm and pulled it back. His back collided with the young man's chest. Right after, a group of teenagers passed by in front of them excitedly to be able to hit someone who was not ready.
"Nearly." Indra sighed. "Seek your steps. It's so crowded here."
Indri could only nod nervously. Especially when the young man turned to clasping his hands.
"So you want to go around or ...?"
"I want to take a look." Back, Indri replied quickly. "You alone?"
"You are the one who invites," responded Indra kalem. "I'm just accompanying."
There was a bit of disappointment, but Indri brushed it off. So he stepped first, of course Indra immediately followed and made sure it was not out of reach. The young man's grasp was tightened even though they were finally able to walk side by side.
Not much attracted the attention of Indri. Basically, the girl was just a crowd connoisseur. Some shows are only watched for a while, even because they enjoy the joy of the people and neatness of the show. Some booths visited, but just wanted to know and try. Nothing really made the girl feel at home.
Until finally they stopped at a large fountain in the center of the square. Not many people gathered there until the crowd was only heard from around.
"You tired?"
While looking at the ripples of the fountain pond, Indri shook his head. He glanced at the reflection of Indra's figure there. The young man was looking at him. Indri immediately nailed a glance at the ornamental fish passing in front.
Actually Indri's intention to invite Indra is for the sake of the young man. Indri wants Indra to enjoy the city more because Indra is just a newcomer here—, or at least a little relaxed after touring. However, the young man remained flat and silent as usual. Nothing influences Indra to just enjoy the crowds and entertainment here. Actually this is also one of Indri who is not good at fishing the young man.
Indri sighed silently. It seems like the two of them are indeed not suitable in this crowd. Only suitable to struggle in the book and then discuss endless. That's a lot more fun.
Indri flinched and looked at Indra, but the young man had already sat down at the edge of the pool and faced Indri-still grasping the girl's hand. His position can make Indra look at the face and face Indri clearly. To Indri's surprise, Indra's chocolate bead was watering worry.
"You suddenly brought me here. I was suspicious. And you haven't seemed to be enjoying everything and daydreaming. You look depressed." Indra's hand stretched out and gently rubbed the side of Indri's face. "What's bothering you, Indri?"
Indri was silenced, surprised by Indra's sensitivity to his attitude as well as the pure anxiety of the young man. From now on, he kept thinking about how to fish Indra. It was precisely Indra who caught her wet.
Indra is still waiting. His eyes looked deeply and patiently.
Indri nervously disconnects eye contact. "I-I'm not having any problems."
"Then why are you here, but not enjoying everything?”
"Do I have to?"
"You're not what you used to be."
"I'm fine, Indra."
"You're hiding something."
"No."
Indra's mouth was tightly clenched. Eyes squeaking.
Indri flinched backwards as Indra got up to his feet, but the young man still held his hand. Be them facing the greatest distance.
"What's the matter exactly?" Indra's voice was slowed down and tried to be softened, though his hand tightly held Indri in place. Then his voice softened. "I've said it often. You can tell me."
Indri looked away and stared at the floor of the square made of stone blocks. Face heated.
"Gear me, Indri."
Thats enough. Indri also can not stand being cornered like this. "B-promise not to be angry," she whispered shyly, "or said I was stupid and such."
Indra raised next to the eyebrows. He quietly waited.
Indri took a deep breath. His voice then sounded so slow that only Indra heard. "I-I .. brought you here .. to comfort you."
Indra stunned. "Me?"
Indri nodded small and grew embarrassed. "D-and I .. want to know-I mean, want us just once ... take a walk like this." Her hand squeezed the cloth of her dress so nervously. "I .. want you to have fun. From earlier ... I kept thinking about the way, but it seems .. you don't seem happy."
A long silence. There was only a crowd around, I saw a dramatic performance, and a fountain near them.
Then Indri heard an amused grunt. Turned into an oddity, but not held back until it becomes a slow laugh. Then, a light loose laugh.
Indri looked up, stunned. Indra laughs.
How relaxed and loose the young man let out a laugh. Facial muscles that are always stiff are now perfectly interested in forming an amused look. The lips that always strip flat now form a happy smile in the midst of laughter. The senses are too expressive until the eyes are closed. Making a cool heart with his face that is charming.
Along with the heartbeat that is not anxious, Indri's face heats up to see the behavior of the Indra that is very rare.
Indra's laughter disappeared. The young man stared fixedly at Indri. A happy and sincere smile was still on his lips. "Thank you" he whispered. "So you did this for me?"
Still stunned, Indri nodded stiffly.
"sorry. I didn't even catch your intention." Indra rubbed the girl's cheek again. His smile thinned and softened. "It's okay. Not salahmu. I'm glad to hear that. Come on." Indra now tightly knit their hands. "There's still time."
