Charlotte's Resilience
Episode 6: Proximity 2

From the corner of the room was Charlotte who looked a little agitated. He continued to walk from left to right and vice versa by continuously repeating. Lili who saw her nonanya restless felt that something less good had happened.

“Nona what things have happened until you look so agitated?” Ask Lili.

“How could I not fidget Lili, now everyone knows that I am the son of a duke Phillip.” Answer Charlotte who has now been sitting on her couch.

“Isn't that good? So everyone can't look down on the lady anymore, let alone the lady Melinda I see she always tries to demean miss.” Said Lili with a little emotion.

“I don't want to be the center of Lili's attention. Just hearing my father's name has attracted the attention of many people especially now by knowing that I am his daughter who was even a child close to the royal family.” Charlotte obviously.

“But, didn't miss a long time ago not meet the royal family. I don't think the royal members will know that the lady is Miss Charlotte who used to love being with them.”

“That's what I expected, but it turned out the opposite.”

Charlotte recalled the incident about a few hours ago that happened in the dining room when the prince of Wilix kindly asked to admonish his father in front of everyone.

“How is he doing? Is he okay, Charlotte?” prince Wilix asked with a direct gaze toward Charlotte.

Hearing this, it certainly made Charlotte surprised. He was only able to remain silent by staring at the prince of Wilix. Not only Charlotte, everyone in the room was surprised even Emira's daughter could not believe what one of her sisters said.

“Charlotte? You mean his brother's uncle Phillip?” Princess Emira asked the prince of Wilix.

“Yes, did you not know that Charlotte participated in this event?” Ask prince Wilix

“I didn't know it, where is he now?” Looking in different directions to find Charlotte.

“He's at the end of this dining table exactly one line with you.” Answer prince Wilix.

Politely, Charlotte stood showing herself to the three brothers. Seeing Charlotte, princess Emira was so happy she quickly approached Charlotte and clasped her hand saying.

“Yeah gosh Charlotte, is this really you? I haven't seen you in a long time, I'm sorry for not recognizing you.” Princess Emira.

“Oh no, princess no need to apologize to me. I should have greeted the princess first.” Charlotte replied with a little awkwardness.

Shortly thereafter, Prince William approached the two of them.

“Oooh so this is our little Charlotte who always follows the oldest sister wherever she goes?” Prince William said.

“Ah yes, if only the eldest sister knew that there was Charlotte, I think she would be happy to meet you.” Answer princess Emira.

Charlotte, daughter of Emira, and prince William resumed their dinner sessions. After dinner, Charlotte is invited by Prince William to her private lounge room along with princess Emira and prince Willix. Of course, seeing this jealousy in Melinda's heart grew bigger. He feels defeated by Charlotte who has known the royal family for a long time. He thought, he would be able to humiliate Charlotte but it turned out to be the opposite.

In a room dominated by dark red combined with chocolate, the four of them gathered accompanied by a cup of tea that was available on the table. Charlotte looked a little awkward with the atmosphere that was going on between them. Prince William asked Charlotte about her taking part in Lady Crown.

“So, our little Charlotte is already an adult will even follow Lady Crown.” Put the cup of tea he had drunk on the table.

“I didn't think that you were following this show Charlotte.” Princess Emira.

“I also did not expect to follow this event but if father has already made a decision, what can I do.” Answer Charlotte.

“I'm sure what uncle decided for you has been the best decision.” Prince William's.

“Hopefully.” Charlotte said as she sipped her tea.

The moonlight that snuck into the room, accompanied the four of them to talk about the past when they were children. It doesn't feel like time is running and the night is getting late. The conversation ends when princess Emira's personal assistant interrupts them. Princess Emira and Cahrlotte walk together in a hallway to their respective rooms. In the middle of the journey Emira's daughter asked Charlotte.

“Charlotte, may I ask you something?”

“Of course princess, I will gladly try to answer according to my capacity.” Answer Charlotte.

“What are your goals and reasons for attending this event? What like the other lady, want to occupy the position of queen?”

“If I can be frank, I have no special reason to join this event. I just follow father's request, no more than that.”

“So, you don't have that ambition?” Asked Princess Emira with great seriousness.

“Do queens always have to be with the king? Can't we be queens for ourselves?”

Hearing what Charlotte said made princess Emira a little surprised. Shortly Emira's daughter's assistant Tristan cuts off their conversation and proposes the princess to get some rest.

“It's time for the princess to rest.” Tristan.

“Good, Tristan. Charlotte I'm glad to see you, next time we talk back.” Princess Emira.

“Of course princess. I will be happy to accompany you.” Charlotte replied with a slight tugging of her body as a sign of respect.

After princess Emira left, Charlotte and Lili walked towards their room. With a tired-looking face and a slow step Charlotte down the hall with certainty. But without them knowing there was a pair of eyes watching them from a distance.
