Charlotte's Resilience
Episode 4: The Meeting

The snow along the road covered the trees and the surroundings were like a mound of white cotton. Although the sun accompanied faithfully but not in the least felt warm from its rays. Cold air that is still able to be tolerated by the body accompanies the journey of the lady Ark group from the city of Dali to the kingdom of Moesen.

It was more than five hours ago that the group of lady Ark left the city of Dali. Soon they will arrive in the city of Nix. In the city of Nix they will only rest for a while, because their resting place is the city of Nepon. Not long after, the group of lady Ark arrived at the mansion to just rest the muscles of the body that began to feel tired due to a long journey.

Princess Emira gives a message that all the ladies are free to do what they want on condition that one hour later they have to regroup at the mansion to make the next trip. Hearing this makes some ladies want to take a walk to see the city of Nix.

"I heard that Nix city market is famous for its crafts, how about we go there?" One of the Ark lady.

Hearing the proposal the ladies asked the princess permission to go to the market of Nix city. Because the distance of the mansion and the market was not too far it only took five minutes finally the princess gave permission to them. Almost half of the Ark lady went to the Nix market, some chose to stay in the mansion including Emira's daughter. Lili Charlotte's personal servant proposes to go to Nix's market. He had never been out of town further than the city of Dali.

"Miss what do we go also see the Nix market? I'm sure a lot of good stuff was sold there." Said Lili with hopeful eyes.

Seeing the enthusiasm of Lili, Charlotte decides to go to the Nix market even though she is initially reluctant to leave due to the fairly cold weather. When he arrived at the market, Lili was so excited to see the goods sold by the craftsmen of Nix city. The cold weather did not stir him to switch from one stall to another. Seeing that made Charlotte smile happily because she had never seen Lili this enthusiastic.

Charlotte approached one of the craft stalls that caught her attention. He asked the seller about the craft he had seen for the first time.

"What crafts do you sell?"

"Oh this hair ornament of jade and wood is carved. The craftsmen came from one of the western countries where the Barians lived. If miss wants to buy it I will give a discount for miss, this item is the only one no other seller is selling this miss." Answer the seller explains.

"How much is this hair ornament?" Ask Charlotte.

"Two pieces of gold, miss."

"Two pieces of gold? Isn't it too expensive just for hair?".

When Charlotte was bargaining about the hair she wanted, a man with brownish skin came up to her and said.

"You don't cheat on a master girl, the suitable price for this hair decoration is about 1 piece of gold and 5 pieces of copper."

"Where possible, this is a rare decoration of the Barian people in the west." Answer the seller with a little annoyance.

"Yes I know this is from Barian but they just sold you maybe only about 1 piece of gold and this quality is not good enough there is still better quality than this. Already miss you do not need to buy this decoration, I know your craftsman just order to the craftsman directly." Obviously that man.

"Eh wait, well I'll sell for 1 piece of gold and 10 pieces of copper." Said the seller.

The seller was forced to agree to the offer made by the man. Charlotte just kept quiet to see the interaction between the two. After reaching a bid decision, Charlotte finally bought the hair ornament for 1 piece of gold and 7 copper. Charlotte thanked the man who had helped her bid for the price of the decoration.

"Thank you for helping me bargain for this decoration." Charlotte.

"Together, other times if you buy something, you must be with someone who is good at making offers if you do not want to be robbed by the seller." Answer the man with the dark green hair.

"All right, I take your advice. Oh, I'm Charlotte, what's your name?" Ask Charlotte.

"I.. I'm sorry I have to go now." Without finishing his sentence, the man just left in a hurry.

Not long after, Lili also came with various grocery bags in her hands.

"What's wrong, miss? Did Miss see anything?" Ask Lili.

"That was it. ah it was nothing. Have you been shopping? I think we should go home now so as not to leave the others." Charlotte answered with a smile.

"Let's go, let's go home."

Charlotte and Lili left the market to return to the mansion. On the way Charlotte kept looking at the hair ornament she had just bought. She still remembered the man who helped her bid for her jewelry earlier.

"What's her name? Why is he rushing around as if he's avoiding something." Charlotte's inner speech.

Seeing her nona daydreaming while holding an object that she did not know where it came from, Lili asked Charlotte.

"What's the matter, lady, why are you daydreaming? And what is this thing?" Show Lili to the thing Charlotte was holding.

"Oh this, this is a hair ornament. Nice right? I liked it and I bought it." Charlotte replied with a smile on her face.

"Well, hair ornaments? A long thing with jade at the end and no tongs? How's wearing?". Ask Lili while looking for a brace in the decoration.

"I don't know how to wear it either. But this thing is quite unique, isn't it? What have you bought?" Ask Charlotte.

During the trip to the mansion Lili and Charlotte continue to talk about what Lili bought from the market.
