Jarish Visit

"Begging Mr. Meyer's permission, Mr. Jarish Meyer came to visit" the secretary reported via a wireless intercom connected to Jarvis' room.

Jarvis looked at the documents on the desk and the portable computer, which showed that there was so much work to be done. Plus, with no Meyer family backing him, Jarvis is reluctant to accept anyone who wants to see him.

Given the state of his father's health, Jarish, who has been using a wheelchair, Jarvis feels unethical if he refuses.

"Yes, let's go in."

Jarvis fixed the table by shifting his work to the edge, he needed to focus on the conversation his father would throw later.

"Jarvis, how are you?" jarish asked as soon as he walked into Jarvis' office.

Jarvis stood up and stepped towards Jarish. "Bad, Pa. I'm not sure Papa doesn't know what happened to me."

Jarvis sits on his couch in his study. Jarish moved his wheelchair automatically closer to the sofa.

"Papa can see it." Jarish chuckles amusedly.

Jarvis breathed loudly, his father pretending to be asking for news. Jarvis feels he's being bullied by his own father.

"When Papa comes here to scold me and asks to stay away from Floretta, papa's daughter-in-law, I can't." Jarvis stood up to get back to the desk.

"Why are you so emotional, young man?" Jarish smiled at his second son. "Sit down, Papa just wants to talk and won't attack you" Jarish said. Jarvis obeyed Jarish and threw himself back on the couch.

"Father heard the case that befell you. Your mama's very angry, we can understand, because she took care of you in the hope that you could boast of a family."

"And I failed. When I fell, no one helped me" Jarvis said, gloomily disappointed.

"Papa sense of falling in the process of life is natural. As the breath fused the body, you fought your way back up." Jarish supports her son. He chooses not to absorb emotionally, even though anger still exists.

Jarvis looked at his father. "Why is Papa different?"

Jarish laughed at the suspicious tone of his son.

"Your father is not a perfect man. Our marriage has passed the age of 30, a lot of things have happened. Treasures, thrones, and women are the weakness and strength of a man of any class. However, it was not a major factor but rather from the basis of oneself."

"I don't understand what Papa means. Was Papa involved in an affair or a property struggle?" jarvis asked puzzledly, hoping for a 'no.' answer.'

Jarish took a long breath. "I've said a lot of things happened in the past. You, as your beloved son, must remember not to believe in anyone and anything. You have to look at the evidence, not the words," Jarish said, for Jarvis's sake.

"On anyone including your family and confidants" he continued.

"Do you mean that everyone wants my destruction?" jarvis asked, still not really understanding Jarish's words.

"No way. You just need to be on guard against anyone. Don't get caught up in word games," advises Jarish. "You'll understand as time goes on."

Jarvis glanced at his papa blankly. His mind drifted everywhere.

"Papa has to go, mama doesn't know papa's here." Jarish flipped his body walking out without a word of extra from Jarvis who was troubled thinking of an abstract message from his papa.

Floretta's condition is getting better, he follows the message conveyed by Maureen to eat healthy food according to the needs of two souls.

The longing for Dael and Rosalie rose in his chest. When contacting the two boys at this time the time is not right because they have not returned from school.

To treat the longing, Floretta scrolls through the gallery of favorite folders containing many photos of her children.

A sweet smile and a small laugh adorned Floretta's face looking at the photo of Dael and Rosalie. Every now and then Floretta commented on the photos of her children's expressions as funny and adorable.

When the photo of her little family appeared, Floretta's smile suddenly faded. He scrolled the others instead finding a picture of himself standing hugging Jarvis who was sitting without a smile. Their photo shoot was done in a photo studio two years ago, Dael and Rosalie are toddlers.

The sparkle of the thin fabric with plain weave and the flawless cosmetics helped exude Floretta's gorgeous charm. Too bad, Jarvis is acting normal.

Floretta's breath trembled as she observed the photo of the two of them. Floretta remembers it was she who persuaded Jarvis to take a family photo shoot.

It took a month to get the word 'yes' from Jarvis. That is why, the photo file is stored specially in the folder 'small family JM' by Floretta in her phone.

Plus the flat look that Jarvis showed in the photo, for Floretta now symbolizes the reward for forcing the marriage that he did first.

Unfortunately, Floretta's desire to escape Jarvis was hampered by the man himself who was reluctant to say 'yes' to parting ways. Floretta is not out of thought why in time to be free of him Jarvis did not take this good opportunity. Is maintaining their marriage Jarvis' attempt to avenge his heartache on Floretta?

Floretta was screeching with a headband, maybe that's true, Floretta's inner self.

With determination Floretta does not want to retreat again, one day Jarvis knows his past and the man will surely leave willingly.

Floretta's thumb quickly pressed all the photos of her and Jarvis, leaving behind a family photo of her children. After everything was covered with a check mark, Floretta's thumb stopped in midair.

This is a file left behind, Floretta no longer has softcopy of their last studio photo.

Without being able to lie to herself, with tears in her grief, Floretta looked for a picture of the trash can to permanently dispose of the memorable photo with Jarvis.

Floretta felt that if he kept the memory image for too long, it could be difficult to move from the affection of Jarvis who was still strong to wrap his heart.

After all the pictures were gone from her phone, Floretta touched her and patted her chest with her head down. "You have to be strong, Flo," she said to herself.

At the same time, Floretta's phone rang, there was an incoming call with the name 'My Beloved'. Floretta forgot to change the name of the person who had been the owner of his heart.

Floretta looked at her phone, either answering or not calling Jarvis. However, the part of his heart that was hurt immediately confirmed that there was no need to answer a call from Jarvis. Floretta was told to stay focused on wanting to part ways and not give any space to make up.

Floretta kept that part of his heart until the phone went silent on its own.

Not long after the message went to Floretta's phone.

[How are you? Maureen said she could go home tomorrow. I'll pick you up.]

Floretta himself just found out that he could come home tomorrow. Maureen will visit again in the afternoon and will probably deliver the news.

[No need to be picked up. Walden's gonna pick me up.]

Jarvis looked on in dislike at Floretta's short message without using sweet speech like a few months ago.

[I'm still your husband. Be according. For past business, I'll explain to you later.]

Floretta snorts, she knows Jarvis is strong-willed. Even if Floretta refuses, Jarvis will come to the hospital tomorrow.

Jarvis is waiting for a message back from his wife, he feels not receiving Floretta's reply is a good sign.

[Thank you for being a submissive wife.]

Reading Jarvis' message, Floretta throws her phone into the bed at his feet. Jarvis must know that Floretta still has more feelings for him. Floretta chose to break down and would not read anyone's message from her phone which ended up upsetting her.

Floretta has to prepare ammunition to fight Jarvis when they meet tomorrow.

Jarvis is happy to receive news from Maureen that informs his wife's health is improving, whereas to Dael and Rosalie he says his mother may be a few more days out of town. In fact, tomorrow they can be together. Jarvis felt his children would be happy with the surprise they would give.

Jarvis took his four-wheel drive out of the hospital parking lot. Jarvis specifically went to Maureen to ask about his wife's health.

From that conversation, Jarvis got the news that Floretta most likely could go home if his health condition stabilized improving. Jarvis did not visit his wife's nursery, he appreciated Floretta who still refused to meet him.
