Chapter 27: Contractions

For two days Adiva had felt pain in his stomach. But suddenly the pain disappeared. This often happens to some pregnant women who will soon give birth. Such an event is called a false contraction or Braxton Hicks, namely, contractions with irregular patterns that often arise in pregnancy.

False contractions occur due to the tightening of the lower abdomen and ************. And because of this Daniel was worried. But other than today, the contractions experienced by Adiva get stronger and make it more painful. Before long the clear colored liquid mixed with blood came out. With a swift Daniel immediately carried his wife to the car.

"Dear, we'll be going to the hospital soon" Daniel said.

"Mas, sick" whined Adiva. His hand continued to stroke his stomach and tightly grasped Daniel's hand.

At high speed Daniel drove his iron horse. Several times he honked.

"It hurts!!"

"Yes Honey. We'll be there soon."

In just 15 minutes, Daniel arrived in front of the hospital. He took his wife who was in pain.

"Daniel! Lay Adiva down!" tell Sarah. He immediately brought a gurney with the nurse as soon as he saw Daniel coming.

"You wait here!"

In front of the closed door of the delivery room Daniel continued to pacing unsettled. This was his experience as well as his first child, he had to faithfully accompany Adiva who was struggling between life and death.

"Sir Daniel, you can go in to accompany Madam Adiva to give birth" said the nurse.

In the delivery room he saw Adiva groaning in pain. The hand of Adiva, trying to encourage. Unconsciously the tears flowed down the cheeks of the handsome man.

"Let's get Adiva excited, a little more baby will be out soon."

With the remaining energy Adiva tried to convulse back. And not for long the sound of crying the baby also echoed. Sarah with the help of the nurse cleans the baby first from the blood attached to her body. When she finished, Sarah gave the baby to her mother to get her first breast milk.

"Congratulations, you are now parents" Sarah said.

"Thank you for your help" Daniel said.

"Did I not hear wrong? a Daniel thanked me. What a rare thing this is" Sarah mocked.

"You don't think I can say thank you."

"I won't tell you my son's name" Daniel said.

Sarah rolled her lazy eyeballs.

"Mas, you know that meeting with Sarah's doctor is always a fight," Adiva said. He was irritated by the debate between Daniel and Sarah that never got along with each other.

"Okay, there's still a lot to do. I said yes Adiva. Have a good rest."

Sarah left the little family.

"Mas, what name would our child be given?" ask Adiva.

"Atharayyan Laboratory. Do you like that name?" ask Daniel back.

"Like, that's a good name for my handsome baby."

"Emmm... It's because he inherited his father's good looks."

Adiva chuckles at Daniel being narcissistic and not wanting to be outmatched by his good looks.

"Why you?"

"No. It was the first time I saw a Mr. Daniel who was so narcissistic" Adiva said.

Daniel clucking. He saw a little baby feeding on his mother. It was like a dream, now he had become a father of a very coveted son. After all these years of waiting for a moment like this. What a priceless happiness, being able to have a complete family.
