Young Wife Love Trap

Young Wife Love Trap
Chapter 14: Looking Back at It

Daniel drove his steed at high speed, overtaking every vehicle in front of him. His heart rumbled and beat so fast, as if he could not believe what he was hearing.

He also parked his car. His broad steps swerved. In front of the mortuary, several police officers stood firmly with Kevin who had arrived since.

"W-can I see the crash victim this afternoon?" ask Daniel.

The police officers there glanced at Daniel."Are you really Mr Daniel?"

Daniel nodded his head. Suddenly he was silent, as if words he could not speak.

"The body of the victim was burned by fire due to the explosion of the car he was riding in. So maybe you will have trouble making sure the body, is it really your wife or not?" said one of the police officers.

Step by step Daniel entered the mortuary. Slowly he approached the stiffened body, covering the white cloth in front of him. With trembling hands, Daniel tried to remove the covering.

The clear thread that had been growing since, finally fell down on Daniel's cheeks. He turned his face away, his heart and mind were opposite. Trying to fight against destiny that attacks.

"Master.." call Kevin.

"Tell me Kevin that this body in front of me

not Adiva" said Daniel.

"I'm sorry, sir," said Kevin, "this is Mrs Adiva's identity card that was partially burned".

"I don't need this Kevin!! All I want is my sister back!! Didn't you hear, huh?!" snapped Daniel.

Daniel's heart is bitter, his memories with his wife begin to appear like endless movie cliches. He regretted lying to his own feelings, regretted lying and hurting Adiva, regretted not finding his wife first, and now he even met the body of the wife who had been stiffened.

A blue sky with black clouds accompanies the burial of a woman named Adiva Maharani. All seemed solemn to pray for the deceased. Daniel who stood in front of the vortex his wife still could not believe what he was facing now.

Behind the black glasses her tears flowed, until the soft voice of Anindira made her not budge in the slightest.

"Honey, let's go home. Looks like it's going to rain soon" Anindira asked.

He sighed as well, when the husband did not answer his invitation.

"Honey, Adiva will be sad to see you continue like this, please love him," Anindira said.

Until with a feeling of annoyance and all the curse in the heart, Anindira left Daniel who was still faithful to look at the mound of land in front of him.

Not long after the rain fell, wetting everything under it, including Daniel who was drenched by the swift rain. It was as if he was asking the water that soaked his body to heal the wounds and pains that had now been felt.

In a cafe Daniel seemed to sit and have a serious conversation with someone, who was none other than his business client who was involved in the cooperation of a project.

"In that case, hopefully the cooperation we have established runs smoothly," said Mr. Bambang client Daniel,"sorry Mr. Daniel, I have to leave immediately because there are still meetings that I have to attend".

Daniel stood up when Mr. Bambang stood up. His hands stretched out to greet the people in front of him."Thank you for Mr. Bambang willing to meet me to discuss our project."

"I should be grateful, because Mr. Daniel is willing to take his time and come all the way to the city of Surabaya" said Mr. Bambang.

The man leaves, leaving Daniel with Kevin.

"Kevin, you go first to the hotel! I will follow you" said Daniel.

"Good Sir".

Behind the large glass wall Daniel looks out while enjoying the coffee he has ordered. Accidentally a female silhouette flashed by. Daniel's eyes faded, his heart pounding again in disbelief at what he saw.

In a hurry he reached into the wallet and took a hundred thousand rupiah denomination. The wide stride of Daniel's long legs immediately followed the silhouette of the woman entering a village.

'Is he really still alive and living here?' inner Daniel.

He walked through the village and asked Adiva's name to the people he met along the way. However, unfortunately no one knows the name Adiva and the characteristics mentioned by Daniel.

"Ahhh***... If only I had Adiva's photo, it might not be this hard to find," grumbled Daniel,"I'd better go back to the hotel and look for him tomorrow".

Daniel turned his back, walking back to the cafe he had been staying at. On his way to the hotel many questions sprang up, and he was sure that what he saw was the shadow of his young wife, Adiva Maharani.

"I have to make sure what I saw was not wrong" said Daniel who was so happy to see his young wife Adiva again.
