CHAPTER 10

Shan was standing watching Disti who was busy with her work. Disti is indeed a reliable fashion designer with abilities that are no longer in doubt. He could have opened his own boutique and left the company when his name was hard to skyrocket. But, Disti chose to stay and raise this company together with her husband and best friend.

Shan, Adrian and Disti have been best friends since high school. Although they are separated because they continue their education in different places but in the end they can be together because they have the same vision.

Disti and Adrian have been married for two years. They have been in a relationship as lovers for a long time. Shan is the only person who knows how their relationship has gone until now. Disti and Adrian know very well how Shan lives. His love relationship to the problems he faced so far.

Disti restrained her smile from noticing Shan's presence observing her. " Do I look sexy at work?" babble Disti who was together with a smile from Shan.

" yes. Are you satisfied with my answer?"

" Of course" said Disti proudly. " Next time bring that little girl you talk about a lot."

" Of course get acquainted, what else do you expect."

Disti laughs.

" What's up Shan?" disti asked as Shan hung up.

" Anin hasn't come home from school yet, her family is worried."

" Anin, your little girl?"

" Reno, get the car ready."

On the way, Shan kept trying to contact Anin's phone but didn't connect at all. His phone is completely inactive.

The rain had already fallen rapidly to inhibit the speed of their cars.

Agni kept telling Shan who was still on his way. Anin was last seen in the library, which is how Shan got the information from his best friend.

" Sir.'

" Yes."

" Wasn't that Miss Anin."

Shan approached the woman sitting inside the bus stop. He seemed to shiver in the cold, rubbing his hands to keep warm.

" Ann..." The girl looked puzzled to hear the voice of someone calling her name.

" Shan." Anin immediately hugged him. His body shook with the cold tonight.

" Why are you here? the house people are looking for you. They're worried because you're missing."

" Anin's pickpocketing, the bag and the phone are also gone. Not knowing what to do, Anin confused Shan."

Shan let out his breath. He couldn't scold the girl who still hugged him.

" Now Anin is safe, don't be afraid anymore."

" Yes." Yeah."

" Let's go home. They must be very worried."

" Hm, Anin miss Mother."

" Yes." Yeah."

Shan takes Anin into the car. Along the road the rain did not stop.

Shan had already notified Anin's family. They were also relieved to hear that Anin was okay.

Anin closed her eyes. Shan smiled looking at the sleeping Anin's face. Slowly Shan put Anin's head on his lap so that he was comfortable while sleeping.

This fierce girl was suddenly like a very sweet cat. Seeing him as frightened as before made Shan momentarily startled. The Anin he knew was always cheerful, chatty changing instantly.

Shan gently stroked her long hair. I never thought Anin would be with him like this. There is a happiness in itself to be the first to find it. He could see the other side of the girl on his lap.

" Mister, we've arrived" Reno said.

" Please open the door."

" But outside is still a drizzle sir."

" Just cover us, his family must be very worried."

" Good Sir."

Reno came down with an umbrella in her hand. He opened the door and Shan slowly walked out with Anin.

Agni who was waiting at the door immediately hysterically called mother and father as soon as she saw Shan and Anin.

Mother was unceasingly grateful because her daughter was fine.

" Anin's fine aunt. He's just exhausted" Shan said, calming the tant.

" Yes, thank you for finding Anin" she said. " Let's Shan take Anin to his room."

" Yes, Aunt."

Shan took her to her room and laid Anin on her bed. This was the first time he had entered Anin's room. Whitewashed walls and no excess trinkets in here. There were only a few pictures attached to the wall.

There was one photo that caught his attention. The picture frame on the dresser. The smile that was engraved was so sweet to look at. Until Shan was unaware he came smiling to see the girl.

" What do you see Shan?" Agni's voice surprised Shan who immediately put down the frame of the photo.

" You're just surprised" Shan protested.

Agni simply smiled in response to Shan's remark.

" Thank you for finding Anin, Shan."

" Yes, there's no need to thank me anyway, it should be."

" Yes, it should be" Agni smiled.

" I have to get back to the office, I still have work to do."

" What's that like Shan. Your clothes are wet too, your secretary. You should have rested."

" So I left my job, there's no way I'm going to ignore it anymore. Clothing should not be worried. We got change of clothes."

" Oh so, well Shan, be careful."

" okay. Good night."

Shan left the Anin family residence. Reno glanced at her master from the rearview mirror, she looked uncomfortable in the wet clothes.

" Sir, you better take a break."

" Can't, Adrian's been waiting there. Once you get there, change your clothes too."

" Good Sir."

The car driven by Reno was traveling at moderate speed. Not long after they got there.

Inside his office, Adrian was waiting for him with some neatly arranged documents on the table.

" Shan are you okay?"

" Yes, only my clothes are wet. I'll replace it, no need to worry."

" Are you sure about these documents?"

" Yes I'll see it right now."

" You've always forced yourself, Shan."

" Has Disti gone home?"

" Yes, I drove him home. He's also mad at you for having to overtime. You should take care of your health."

" You or Disti?"

" It's Disti."

" Okay, I believe."

" This is the result of the meeting, I've already made the summary". Adrian gave her a document. Shan picked it up and began to study what was inside there. He opened the document sheet by sheet.

They seem so busy that it doesn't feel like the night is getting late.
