After returning from the office Candra immediately greeted Omanya in the main room. The man first shook the middle-aged woman's hand. But as she was leaving, Amara asked to sit down, saying there was something she wanted to talk about.
"What's Oma?"
"So Oma took Rania for a walk out" Amara said.
"Yes then?"
"Oma was a little surprised because many neighbors do not know Rania, besides they do not know the status of Rania as your wife. You purposely hid this from everyone?"
Candra gulped her saliva roughly hearing such a question, "Oma I-"
"Candra, please don't let Oma down again. You've been hiding too much, sorry Rania is always a victim" said Amara. As a woman, I feel hurt.
After Amara knew a lot about Rania, she was sure that Candra had deliberately hidden Rania so that people did not know her status as the second wife. Looking at the young woman, Amara felt unbearable.
"I don't mean to hide Rania, sometimes I give her permission if she wants to go out anyway" Candra said.
"Yes but you didn't tell everyone she was your wife, did you?" ask Amara.
"Em it-"
"Why Candra? Why are you keeping this a secret? Means all this time Rania was kept a secret huh?"
Seeing her granddaughter who even lowered her head as if justifying her question, made Amara try to regulate her breath that felt tight. He did not expect his grandson to do so far, much he did not know.
Amara as the only old man Candra so feel useless, because Candra has already acted that far. How else, their residence is separate and very far away. Amara could not pay attention to her grandson.
"You don't feel sorry for Rania?" ask Amara.
"I'm sure he's okay too." When I said it Candra looked calm.
"You're so easy to say that, nobody's heart knows. But Oma was sure, Rania must have been sad because such was not considered."
Candra shook her head, "Oma, I always treat Rania like my own wife anyway" she said.
"Indeed, but people don't know that Rania is your wife" Amara said.
During this time Rania always acted as if she was okay and accepted all Candra's decisions, sure also if the woman did not dare even a little refute. Rania is a gentle and sensitive female figure, but unfortunately no one ever wants to understand her.
"I can solve this on my own" said Candra.
"What do you mean?"
"Sorry Oma I can't tell Oma more, but Oma is calm. My household will always be fine." Candra tries to convince her, if too many questions will make her feel depressed and worried about leaking the secret.
Amara was seen again sighing heavily, "Well if you want that, Oma just send a message to not be rash and selfish. You have two wives, and you have to be fair to them" he advised.
"Yes Oma, I will try," muttered Candra unsure.
Though coming home from the office of body Candra was tired and tired, but when he came home already lectured so make him more tired. Just going up the stairs, Candra accidentally saw someone sitting alone on a park bench.
It must have been Rania and somehow Candra decided to catch up with him instead. As her steps neared, Candra was even made stunned by the beauty of the woman. As Candra stood on the side of the bench, Rania realized her presence.
"Mas is home?" tanya Rania started the conversation.
"Yes, what are you doing here?" ask Candra back. The man was leisurely sitting just next to him.
"It's late in the afternoon, you're not pregnant outside the house."
"Mas afraid I kidnapped a ghost huh?" chirps Rania joking.
Candra smiled faintly, "She was afraid, whose ghostly name was that anyway?"
"I also don't know, but the ghost that likes to kidnap children is a gombel, '" said Rania.
"Means later if you have a baby should always be taken care of, right?"
"Yes, let alone fit before the rich maghrib gini. He said the smell of the baby was very strong, so it could attract the attention of the creatures so." Rania often heard this story while in the village.
Candra made goosebumps hearing that, "I'm so worried about our baby later, hopefully there are no strange events," he said.
"Just be calm, I will always take care of him," said Rania with a big smile.
Candra who heard him smiled. But he even recalled the words of Omanya earlier, making his smile disappear. For a moment they were silent with their own thoughts.
"Rania, I want to ask you something" said Candra seriously.
"Yes what's wrong?"
"I want you to answer honestly, how do you feel when many neighbors do not know you? Even your status as my wife." Candra is a little awkward when asking this, but she doesn't elevate the ego.
"Mas want me to answer honestly?"
"Yes, just tell me everything."
Rania lowered her head while playing her fingers, "Actually I'm sad, I don't feel considered. But Mas's attitude as a husband has always been good as me and my baby, so I'm confused whether I'm considered or not?"
"Sorry Rania." That's all Candra can say, feeling confused about what to say.
"Is Mas Candra ashamed of having my rich wife?" ask Rania. Maybe because he was from the village and just an ordinary person, so Candra could not want to make her image down because she had introduced him.
"Gosh, why do you think that? No, I'm not ashamed to have your rich wife" Candra argued quickly.
Unable to resist Rania curled her thin smile, "Thank God then," he muttered.
What else does Candra have to say? Feeling dissatisfied to give an excuse to Rania and convince the woman, seeing her gloomy face always makes Candra come to mind. But Candra also couldn't explain any more, this was her secret.
"I forgot to say something, tomorrow I leave town and have a job. I won't be long, maybe the shabbiness just came home" Candra said.
"Who's going?" ask Rania. Maybe Livia's coming.
"Job together."
Rania shook her head, "Be careful, Mas" he said.
"Yes, you too as long as I don't have to take care of myself. Don't forget to eat and take vitamins, okay?"
"Yes." Yeah."
Seeing the dark sky, Candra invited her to come in. Long enough also they chat, even so now it does not feel awkward. After taking Rania to her room, Candra went up to the second floor.
