Suffering After Marriage

Early in the morning Aranika was ready to go to work

"Ara..are you awake, baby ? It will be too late" said Mother shouting from behind the door

"Already Mom, I'll be out soon" Ara replied as she combed her hair

"If it's ready let's have breakfast first, it's been awaited by Dad at the dinner table and he said there's something to talk about with you"

"Dad wants to talk about it, ma'am, it looks serious" said Ara with a curious face.

"Mom doesn't know, but you better ask your father directly"

"Well ma'am, Ara's gonna be there soon."

When he finished, he headed straight to the dining table

"Good morning, what do you want to say ? It seems very serious" asked Ara while pulling the chair

"Look Ra, you are now 25 years old . But I see you've never dated at all, even you say to Dad and Mom that you won't marry" said the father, staring at his daughter

"Yes, I'm happy like this. I don't want to leave Dad and Mom who took care of me and raised me from childhood with someone I just met"

"He's not the guy we just met. Mom and Dad have known her for years. You also can't be constantly with Mom and Dad . There are times when you need a companion to accompany you when you are old"

"I've said many times that I don't want to get married. But why do you always force me" said Ara with anger and sadness.

"But I really don't want to marry ma'am, I don't want to leave you guys" Ara replied sadly

"After marriage you can still come here often. Do I need to prostrate with you ? "said his father staring at Ara

"I was curious, who would want to marry me ? "

"The person is Arya, her parents say Arya used to love you so much  . He said he always expressed his feelings for you but you always refused. While his parents were very eager to have a grandchild but Arya never brought a woman to his house"

"I didn't hear wrong, well, I have to marry that man.. He was ugly, arrogant again. He's even like a stalker, always following me wherever I go. Until I feel ashamed of myself"

"You must not speak so, though he is not handsome, but his heart is so kind and so courteous to us"

"But I don't love him, even I hate him so much. But why are you forcing me so much...Can't I determine my own happiness? " ask Ara with a sad face.

"Love will come on its own after you get married. Father also can not refuse, let alone Arya family has been very good to us" replied his father while bowing his head

"All right, whatever you are . I'll just follow" said Ara sadly.

Aranika's heart felt so sick, because she had to marry someone she didn't love, but she couldn't oppose her parents' wishes either. Aranika continued to cry because she had to obey the wishes of her parents.

It used to be that the man was always after her, but Ara never gave her any hope at all. But the man always came to his house even though Ara wasn't there.

Arya once looked for Ara at her workplace and she even followed Ara wherever she went, but Ara still rejected her in a good way.
