[AUTHOR'S POV]

Fandi drove his car at high speed. Disappointment still rippled in his heart. Devastated, his heart was deeply broken. The woman he had always loved turned out to reject him for reasons that were unclear.

"Why An? What wrong? What my lack. After five years I'm a widower because my wife left me when I was still a little difficult. Now that I have succeeded, you have rejected me. What's wrong?" Fandi added more speed to his car.

Until when he reached an intersection, he did not see anyone passing by. Surprised, Fandi slammed the steering wheel to the right and Brakkk!! The car hit a big tree. Blood poured from his head. People immediately helped her and took her to the hospital.

Ana was getting ready for bed. But a phone ring undoes his intentions. He saw the call from Fandi. "Why did Mas Fandi call me?" 

Ana hesitates to pick up the phone from Fandi. But he was astonished to hear the voice of the caller as if in the crowd. 

"Hello, who is this?" asked Ana with a worried tone. Instantly his feelings became unpleasant.

"Hello, Ma'am. The owner of this phone has just had an accident and is now taken to hospital XXX" said the man across the phone.

Ana was surprised to hear that. His hand shook until the phone in his hand fell. His knees felt weak for a moment. Couple opaque. It was like a dream for him. 

Soon he drove to the hospital when he had gathered courage. By driving his motorbike, he broke through the streets that were getting colder because of the late night.

Arriving at the hospital, Ana goes straight to the ER room where Fandi is treated.

"How's Mas Fandi doing, Doc?" asked Ana in a panic.

"He had bleeding in the brain. However, he is in a coma. And surgery can only be done if he's conscious."

Like being struck by lightning when Ana heard this. His body was limp for a moment. He fell in the hospital corridor. The doctor tried to calm him down.

"We'll move him to the ICU. I hope he wakes up quickly so we can have the operation. Patient mother, yes." The doctor went back inside. Shortly after, Fandi was taken to the ICU. His body was full of medical devices.

Ana continued to cry seeing Fandi's condition like that.

In the ICU room, Ana keeps waiting for Fandi. I hope he comes to his senses so the operation can save his life. A sense of regret seeped in his heart. Why he didn't just accept Fandi's feelings. That way Fandi won't experience any of this.

"I'm sorry, Mom. I shouldn't have behaved like that with you. I. I love you too, Mom. But marrying me was a mistake. I'm just a useless woman who's just gonna be a prankster in your life!" Ana cries while holding Fandi's hand.

He did not come home tonight. He will accompany Fandi until tomorrow. Together with a sense of regret for his rejection has made Fandi a severe accident to coma.

Meanwhile, at Hadi and Sinta's house.

"Mas, how about it. We've had a two-week business trip. Dinda how's dong?" ask Sinta to Hadi.

"We rent a baby sitter for two weeks. The maid will also keep an eye on him" Hadi said.

"Yes, but where can we get a baby sitter in one day. The day after we left. In part why Pak Bima ordered an impromptu gini anyway," grumbled Sinta.

"You are calm. There are a lot of washing workers in this area. We just have to ask one to take care of Dinda for two weeks," said Hadi.

"Yes, you take care of it, Mom." Sinta went to Dinda's room.

"What's up, Ma?" ask Dinda.

"Lusa Mama and Papa want to go abroad for two weeks. You will be taken care of by the baby sitter. You don't be naughty, yeah." 

"Yes, Ma."

"Mama love you if you don't take care of Mama like yesterday. As long as Mama's gone you don't be naughty." 

Dinda nodded quickly. "Yes, Ma. Dinda promised."

"Smart kid. Yes, my mom lives." 

Sinta went outside. Dinda took the photo she had kept under her pillow when her mother came in. It was a picture of Ana. "Mama, Dinda misses Mama. When did Mom come home. Forgive Dinda, Ma. Because of Dinda Mama's lies so expelled from this house. Dinda should be honest with Papa." 

Dinda wiped her tears. He closed his eyes while hugging the photo of Ana until finally he fell asleep in his tears. Hoping to dream of meeting Ana, a stepmother.
