CHAPTER 16

Citra allowed Meli to rest for a while in her room. The image then met with Heru's doctor. The doctor who handles his mother-in-law or Hendra's mother.

"The infection is getting worse" Heru's doctor said.

"Didn't you give him fentanyl?" ask Citra later.

"We gave him a high dose. We can't add it anymore. If we do, his heart will stop. Or maybe you will have a stroke" answered Dr. Heru explained.

"Is there no other way." asked Citra while thinking about the best thing for her mother-in-law.

"You know, we've done everything we can." added Heru.

"alright. Then I will meet my mother-in-law first." Citra said later.

Citra met her mother-in-law in her ward.

"Hi Ma'am, how's mom doing now?" tanya Gentle image who sat on the bedside chair where her mother-in-law lay.

"Yes as you see it today" replied Citra's in-laws.

"Do I need to tell Hendra to see you tomorrow?" citra said slowly.

"No need. Anyway if she comes here there's nothing she'll do." replied Mina's mother. The image then remained silent. Maybe Mina knows that her daughter-in-law is in grief.

"Son... Youknew. If you and Juan were everything to Hendra. Be patient. If you embrace it with a broad mind, then they will return to their wits." advises Mina.

"What does mother mean?" tanya Citra brought her body closer to her mother-in-law.

"If I die later, please take care of my son." Mina's message before she faints. Luckily, the nurse was there at the time. Then install a breathing apparatus for ny.Mina.

"You better go home, Doc, let me keep her here" said the nurse. The image then came out of Mina's nursery.

After coming out of her in-laws room, Citra then saw Meli.

"Come, come with me" said Citra to Meli who was sitting around enjoying a cup of coffee that was almost finished. Meli put her coffee cup on the nightstand. Then stand up and follow wherever Citra goes.

"For tonight and the next few days, stay here. It's for your safety" Citra said at the reception desk of a motel.

"alright. Thanks for your help Doc. I'm very grateful to you." sincerely Meli to Citra.

"alright. Go sleep. I'll go home." Citra said passed by and left Meli and immediately went home.

At 4 pm Citra got a phone call from Juan, if she was almost at school. Citra rushed to pick up Juan because the schedule at the Hospital was empty and it was time to go home. The image is waiting in front of Juan's school. Juan gets off the bus with his papa. A wide smile was plastered on the two faces of the man he loved. The image waved to Juan. And Juan ran to his mother and hugged her.

"Welcome back. How was your day there? ask Citra while hugging her child tightly sign she misses him.

"Very exciting Mam. Yes, Pap." said Juan turned to his papa. Her face nodded with a smile. The image only smiled faintly at her husband.

"Let's go home." take Citra later.

Arriving at home, Citra prepared a meal for dinner. Then they had dinner together. Juan and Hendra while recounting their activities during the football match. How exciting is what they are talking about right now.

"But you know, Aldo was actually yesterday afraid of attacking the opponent's defense. That's why yesterday my team conceded a goal. But luckily I was able to score in the final minutes of the game." Proud Juan.

"The papi boy is great. Don't be a loser. It's as if you're living as a mask" Hendra said. Hendra's words mentioning the mask reminded Milka of the words yesterday, which said that the marriage of Hendra and himself was just a mask.

"You asked permission to mami first. Can not abis this play PS. 2 hours only" said Hendra to Juan.

"I'm afraid Pap. It's already night. Afraid that mom would not give her permission. How about 1 hour?" persuade Juan.

"OK." Hendra.

"May ya Mam." Please Juan. The image then nodded its sign in agreement with a smile.

"Yeaaayyy." juan and Hendra cheered simultaneously as they clenched both hands into the air. They laughed together, as if they were a very happy whole family.
