First day of orientation. Clara was so enthusiastic, she set out alone from her boarding house on foot. This new student/i orientation activity is held for three days. Starting from 07.00 - 17.00 WIB.

In the period of student/i orientation, of course, requires guidance and introduction related to life in the lecture. It is traditional for a new student to get ready to undergo a study orientation and introduction of campus (ospected) when declared accepted at a college, both public and private. The view in most people when hearing ospek is seniority, where seniors act arbitrarily towards their juniors

At the campus that Clara entered was very different, no need to make a high voice, let alone issue words that should not be spoken in an academic environment, just issued words of wisdom and assertiveness. That is what seniors, lecturers and management on this campus do to train new students discipline.

As an illustration, for students/i who excel on this campus, given the opportunity to participate in management activities on campus, one of which is to serve new student/i orientation activities.

“New student huh?” ask a woman standing at the campus gate dressed in a maroon red alma mater

The woman also welcomed Clara and other new students with friendly, new students/i one by one came to campus. It turns out that the woman is their senior brother who has been assigned by the campus management to help orientation services for the next three days.

Arriving on the 4th floor, the orientation service officers directed Clara and other students/i into the room.

“That's so friendly these sisters” Inner Clara with a smile taking her seat.

Clara sat in the front seat, the senior brother who served the orientation gave some papers to Clara, including a list of attendees and materials for the orientation during this one day. In the room, there were some students who had already sat down, they had already been present before Clara.

As usual Clara's easy-to-smile nature, she always gives a sweet smile when passing by anyone, although Clara is still shy to get acquainted with her friends, and vice versa with her friends. They still need time to get to know each other.

About 20 minutes later, the chairs in the room were full.all the students/i new first wave attended the orientation activities today.

The waiter students (their senior brothers) handed out snacks and bottles of drinks for the breakfast of the students/i who attended Orientation. At this campus, the Management always provides the best service to all students/i.

"The first wave of Orientation for the new Student/I D-1 class of 2007 is about to begin" shouted the host with a microphone

The host greeted the orientation participants with a great morning spirit, then invited all the students/i in the room to stand up and sing the song ‘Indonesia Raya’ as the opening song. After that, there is a performance of tar art studio from the students/i on campus.

A thunderous applause filled the entire room as Mr. Chairman conveyed the Vision and Mission of the campus. Mr. Chairman also introduced the campus building and its facilities, introducing a number of students/i seniors who have achieved their goal to provide an evaluation to foster new students for the better, he said, and also introduce lecturers who will guide them.

The important point suggested by Mr. Chairman to all new students is that the students are active to be active, because this point is very important to direct students to the world of careers. “However after graduating College, you must jump into the career world, considering that today there are job opportunities that cannot accommodate many College graduates, holding S-1 degrees, many are unemployed” he said

That is why, Lecturers at this campus always educate and motivate students/i to prepare themselves to enter the career world after graduation. And the students/i was strongly encouraged to try ‘Lectures while working’

There are also many important value systems and also the key to success that is set on campus, so that every activity carried out has the essence contained in the value that is brought.

At the end of his words, Mr. Chairman encouraged all students/i “Enjoyed only a series of new student orientations today. Later we will discuss about how to be productive in the material sessions,” the door.

Clara took Orientation very seriously today and nodded while listening to all the directions and motivations of Mr. Chairman, “Oh, right also said bang Jhoni yesterday if here can lecture while working” murmured

In addition, on this campus the students/i are always educated how ‘Ethika Communicate’, Science about what is good and what is bad. Lecturers always guide students/i to be ethical in things such as appearance and action Ethics. So that students/i on this campus are very famous with the slogan ‘3B” which is ‘Brain, Beauty and Behavior’. This is one of the characteristics of this campus compared to other campuses.

To overcome the boredom of the students/i, this event was also entertained by ‘3B Star’, 3B Star is the star of special entertainment students/i on campus who have talents in the field of sound arts. 3B Star is able to sing several songs to encourage the spirit of the new students/i. Coincidentally on this campus the majority of students/i from Toba so the song sung interspersed with the song Batak-Toba area, area songs that are very particular to motivate young children such as Poda or Advice songs, and others.

The Mahasiwa/i D-1 first wave of the class in 2007, very enthusiastic to follow Orientation activities today.
