The Bus

Clara began her journey. The distance between the village to Medan is approximately 7-8 hours with a speed of 80-100 Kg/Hour. On the bus, her tears still flowed incessantly over the grief she had experienced after parting ways with her parents.

Clara continued to look sideways from the side glass of the bus as if she did not want to be disturbed. He occasionally wiped his tears.

"What a weird feeling, why does my brain feel so dead-end and unable to think?" inner Clara while massaging her head.

(After weeping, Clara finally fell asleep, then fell asleep)

[SYAHDU MUSIC VOICE]

"My son naburju, my son hasian, my son nalagu. Ingot do ho amang, in akka poda ni, natua-tuami. Dung hu paborhat ho, namarsikkola i tu luat tadao i amang. Benget do ho amang, beget do ho, manaon na dangol i (and so on)," said the lyrics of the song Batak, which installed the driver to entertain the passengers.

(Indonesian from Batak song lyrics: My good son, my favorite son, my handsome/beautiful son. Remember your parents' advice. As soon as I send you to school in a faraway area, my son, you will be strong, may you be able to endure that suffering)

Clara suddenly awoke to the sound of music on the bus, and then saw the other passengers were fast asleep. Then, he drank the water that had been provided by his mother from home before leaving.

When Clara heard the song, her heart was sad again and her tears flowed down her cheeks again.

"The song is touching, sadhh," inner Clara sighed and wiped her tears.

Clara looked back occasionally. He meant to hug his parents again. But that is no longer possible, because the bus has far left the village.

In the middle of the trip, the bus that was boarded by Clara suddenly turned direction and stopped by a special restaurant bus.

"Eating, eating, drinking" the bus rang out to passengers.

Passengers disembarked one by one, including Clara. Clara who had been holding back wanted BAK (Little Water) directly to the toilet.

"The passenger asked, Mom. Where's the toilet?" ask Clara to a mother who specializes in selling snacks in the bus restaurant area.

"Oh, left, son," replied the seller's mother.

After coming from the toilet, Clara went into the restaurant. He chose the corner table. He looked over the menu to be ordered.

"It's me, sister," said Clara, pointing to the desired menu to the waiter who was standing in front of her.

At the next table, suddenly a middle-aged man came over to Clara.

“Where are you, Dek?“ ask the man while putting his coffee on Clara's desk.

“Mau to Medan, Sir, ” Clara replied with a smile.

"Here, sister," said the waiter of the diner as he placed Clara's order on the table.

The father had yet to take his eyes off Clara's face like he was curious.

“Where to stay, Dek?” asked the man while sipping his coffee.

"In (mentioned the name of the village), sir. Let's eat, sir" replied Clara briefly while offering the Father a meal.

"Yes, Deck. Please, " replied the Father.

"Village (name of village), near the racetrack huh?" ask the father to know.

“The face is similar, Mr. Robert. Don't-don't...” Inner Father was hesitant.

“Annya, Mr Robert huh?” he asked, pointing at Clara.

“Kok he knows my Father's nickname, who does?" inner Clara asked in wonder.

“Hmm, Mr Robert who do you mean?” ask Clara to come back to make sure.

“Sir Robert who had a horse in the village (mentioned the name of the village). You're his son, right?” ask the Father.

“Oh, yes Sir. That's my Father,” Clara replied with a smile.

The father went straight to Clara because his guess was right, “I, Mr. Erik. Then what's your name, son?”

“My name is Clara, sir," replied Clara and replied to Mr. Erik's greeting as well.

“You want to ship to Medan?” ask Mr. Erik.

“Plan to lecture, Sir,” replied Clara.

"Oh so yes, Pak” said Clara while nodding.

“Your father is a good man, I once saved him. It was late afternoon, he cut the last wood. I called him, but did not hear because the sound of the wood cutting machine was so strong and deafening. When I got close to it, the cut wood fell. Once knowing I would be hit, your father immediately ran and pushed me so as not to be hit. Yes, it was your father who saved me back then. Hmm, at that time," recalled Mr. Erik continued with a sigh.

“Oh so, so great my Father," said Clara with haru after listening to Mr. Erik tell me about his Father.

“Yes, that's the story of our struggle with your Father, son,” said Mr. Erik.

It turns out that Mr. Erik was a friend of Mr. Clara when he worked cutting wood. It's just that Clara didn't know it, because Clara was a child. Clara only knew her Father worked in the fields and took care of horses and buffalo.

"On our home alone there is a wood cutting machine and a helmet-helm project, there is a yellow color and blue color of the helmet. Apparently, my father's previous job was cutting wood, "inner Clara while remembering.

"Come, come. Depart, depart," the bus driver suddenly said, shouting.

The conversation Clara and Mr. Erik were interrupted immediately. It turned out that the bus that was boarded by Mr. Erik began to depart who had stopped at the restaurant earlier than the bus that was boarded by Clara.

Mr. Erik immediately moved from his seat and gave money to Clara, "Well, to increase your allowance."

"No need, sir," Clara refused.

"Receive, son. Consider this a form of my gratitude for your Father and this is not how much compared to my life," said Mr. Erik.

Clara accepted and said, "Thank you, sir."

Then, Mr. Erik went straight to the cashier to pay for his food and drinks.

"How, Ma? Just have the child yes," asked Mr. Erik while pointing towards Clara.

“Pak, I'm the one who paid mine," said Clara slightly shouting after Mr. Erik mentioned the position of his desk.

“It's okay, Son. Oh yes, say my regards to your Father yes," said Mr. Erik in a hurry to leave the restaurant.

“Iya, Sir. Thank you again, sir," said Clara.

“There is no good in vain. The good that my Father used to do to others, now his son who received his reward," said Clara.

20 Minutes later, the rest period for the passengers on the bus that Clara was on ended.

"Come, come. Depart, depart," the bus driver shouted.

The passengers, including Clara, moved from their seats. While waiting for the passengers to enter everything, there was a change of driver. Maybe, it is like that advice from the "Bus Direction" in order to maintain safety. The first driver got back to rest. The bus immediately left the restaurant and continued on its way.

Hours after the bus, Clara was confused because she did not know where it had arrived. He did not recognize every area that the bus passed, because it was his first time to Medan.

"Mom, where are we?" clara asked the passenger next to her.

"Oh, we're already in (mentioned the name of the area)," replied the mother.

"Medan's a long way away, ma'am?" ask Clara again.

"Still, about 4 hours away," replied the mother.

Hearing the mother's answer, Clara was relieved because Medan was still far away. He tried to sleep again.

17:00 in the afternoon.

"Medan, Medan, Medan," said the bus kernek slightly shouting.

The passengers got ready and checked their luggage.

"Dek, Dek, we have arrived in Medan," said the mother of the passenger beside him to build while patting Clara's shoulder.

Clara wakes up and checks her luggage.

"Thank you, God. We arrived at our destination safely" Clara prayed in her heart.
