A few months before Albert Einstein's death in April 1955, "LIFE" journalist William Miller visited the famous scientist at his home in Princeton, New Jersey. The journalist was accompanied by his son Pat Miller. On that occasion William wanted Einstein to give advice to his son for guidance in life. Then Einstein responded to that desire with an advice to Pat Miller, "Try not to become a man of success but rather try to become a man of value".
The greatest scientist of the 20th century advised a young man to strive to be a person of value, not just to succeed: "Try not to be a successful person but try to be a person of value". According to Einstein, successful people take more (profits) from life than they give, while valuable people give more (profits) to life than they receive. The above text appeared in LIFE magazine in the May 2, 1955 issue of "Life" written by editor William Miller.
Meaning of Success and Value.
Simply put, success can be said as success will achieve something that has been targeted. Someone who has managed to overcome his car that broke down in the middle of the road is a success. Understanding the meaning of success in life is when someone has obtained satisfactory results economically, politically, career, or popularity.
So that the rich can be called a successful person (in the field of economics). Likewise, people who managed to occupy high positions in their work, or artists who have been so popular can be said to be people who have achieved success. So property, rank, and position are often used as a benchmark for success

The Purpose of Human Life
Is success simply the goal of everyone's life?. In fact, this is what we can see, although it may be a measure of success of each person is different. And the way people perceive success is not always the same.
But there is more important than success as confirmed by Albert Einstein, the great scientist of the modern century, what he called "worth". Success only makes a person's heart happy, but it is worth making the heart of many people happy. The feeling that makes many people happy is "happiness". And that is the purpose of human life.
People of value are much more valuable than just successful people. So Einstein advised, "Try not to be a successful person, but to be someone of value"
Valuable people can be recognized by how they provide kindness and benefit, not only for themselves and their families, but also for the people. A person of value may "own" not much, but he "gives" much to others.
