Mental health problems are still considered less serious than physical health problems. The public has not considered mental health problems as a disease.

This was said by the Director General of Disease Prevention and Control of the Ministry of Health Anung Sugihantono to the Tribun Network, Monday (7/10/2019).

"Often pain is only meant when we are unable to do something" Anung said.

Mental health problems are the same as physical health problems because they can threaten a person's life. Anung explained based on the results of Basic Health Research in 2018 the prevalence of households with members who suffer from schizophrenia or psychosis by 7/1000 with treatment coverage of 84.9 percent. In the adolescent age group, the prevalence of mental disorders in adolescents older than 15 years was 9.8 percent. This figure increased compared to 2013 by six percent.

Mental health issues need to be prevented and controlled through promo-tiv, preventive, curative and rehabilitative efforts. The management of mental health issues needs to involve all development actors in inclusion. Management engagement is not only based on health facilities, individuals and families, but also communities in one region.

"Right now we're talking about transforming the health of a treatment into a caring responsibility" Anung said.

Mental health problems and the misuse of narcotics, psychotropic and other addictive substances (NAPZA) need special attention. The goal is prevention and control through promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative efforts. "The basic key is in shifting from cure, service and care" said Anung. Healthy social will create a healthy lifestyle ODGJ more and more because they do not know how to live healthy both thoughtfully, and physically and spiritually. Try if educated with language rehabilitates so that his life can improve. They are present in front of us not even in the banished but given food or whatever it is that one day they will remember it they will indirectly do as we do, treat them well then they will behave well too, vice versa if we treat them with violence it will not make him recover because ODGJ put forward more subconscious than with his mind if until this happens it will cause more severe brain damage. Psychotherapy is one of the most common treatment steps taken by psychiatrists and psychologists to deal with emotional disorders or psychological problems felt by patients. In addition, psychotherapy can also be done to overcome behavioral problems, such as tantrums and addictive behavior or dependence on certain things, such as drugs, alcohol, gambling, to pornography. Through psychotherapy, the psychologist or psychiatrist will guide and train the patient to learn to recognize the conditions, feelings, and thoughts that cause complaints and help the patient to form positive behaviors toward the problem at hand.

Thus, patients are expected to be better able to control themselves and respond to difficult situations better. Conditions that Require Psychotherapy

Many incorrect assumptions or stigmas that people who undergo psychotherapy to a psychologist or psychiatrist indicate that the person has a mental disorder or crazy. But the truth is not so.

Psychotherapy is intended for anyone who realizes that he or she has a psychological problem or is at high risk of developing a mental disorder and intends to seek help to overcome the problem.

The following are some complaints or psychiatric problems that need to be addressed with psychotherapy:

Feeling hopeless or sad for several months, for example due to depression.

Excessive anxiety, fear, or worry that causes difficulty in carrying out daily activities or work. Changes in mood or extreme mood, for example suddenly excited or very sad for no apparent reason. Start showing negative behaviors, such as irritability, substance or drug abuse, alcoholism, or overeating.

Having an idea or desire to commit suicide or harm others.

Have hallucinations. Difficulty expressing feelings or feeling that no one else can understand your feelings or problems.

Have an obsession or habit that is difficult to stop, for example, too often tidying and cleaning the house, washing hands many times, to go back and forth to the kitchen to check the gas stove repeatedly.

Feeling difficult to achieve pleasure, comfort, or satisfaction while undergoing activities previously preferred (anhedonia)

The above complaints can occur when a person experiences inner pressure or traumatic events, for example after divorce, there are family members or close friends who died, just lost their jobs, or have lost their jobs, or have recently been the victim of disaster or violence, including sexual harassment.

In addition to traumatic events, some of the above symptoms are also likely to be caused by certain mental disorders, such as dissociative identity disorder (double personality), depression, personality disorders, bipolar disorder, PTSD, anxiety disorders, and other mental disorders, and schizophrenia.

The methods and techniques of psychotherapy performed by psychologists or psychiatrists are numerous. The type of therapy to be used is generally adjusted to the patient's condition and patient's response to psychotherapy.

Some types of psychotherapy are quite often done, among others:

1. Cognitive behavioral therapy

Cognitive behavioral therapy aims to evaluate the thought patterns, emotions, and behaviors that are the source of problems in a patient's life. After that, the doctor or psychologist will train the patient to respond to the source of the problem in a positive way.

For example, if the patient used to often use drugs or alcoholic beverages to deal with stress, then with this psychotherapy, the patient will be trained to respond to stress with more positive activities, such as exercise or meditation.

2. Psychoanalytic and psychodynamic therapy

This type of psychotherapy will lead the patient to look deeper into his subconscious. Patients will be invited to explore various events or problems that have been buried and unconscious.

In this way, the patient can understand the meaning of each incident he experienced. It is this new understanding that will help patients in making decisions and dealing with various problems.

3. Interpersonal therapy

This type of psychotherapy will lead the patient to evaluate and understand how the patient is in a relationship with others, such as family, partners, friends, or colleagues. This therapy will help patients become more sensitive when interacting or resolving conflicts with others.

4. Family therapy

This therapy is done by involving family members of the patient, especially if the patient has psychological problems related to family problems. The goal is that the problems faced by patients can be overcome together and improve the relationship that had been fractured between the patient and family.

5. Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a psychotherapeutic technique that utilizes hypnosis to help patients better control their behavior, emotions, or mindset.

This psychotherapy method is quite often done to make patients more relaxed, reduce stress, relieve pain, to help patients stop doing bad habits, such as smoking or overeating.

To deal with psychiatric problems, psychotherapy is often combined with the use of drugs, such as antidepressant drugs, antipsychotics, anxiety-relieving drugs, and mood stabilizers (mood stabilizers), it depends on the diagnosis of the disease or psychiatric problem suffered by the patient.

In addition, the results of psychotherapy will also be different for each individual. Certain types of psychotherapy may be suitable for one patient, but are not necessarily effective if applied to another patient. Therefore, You are advised to consult a psychologist to determine the appropriate therapy for Your condition.
