The Light of Love Arion
CHAPTER 9

"Good, if you're a waitress on this show. Let you know the difference between you and Aya is very far away." Weni pulled her daughter's hand to follow her. "Yes, the show's about to start."

"Mama, don't talk like that."

"Indeed the reality is like that, Aya."

Arion was only speechless staring at the Light that had drifted away with his Mother. He returned the drink that some guests asked for.

Bayu only smiled obliquely then he walked behind the Light.

"Prophey yes, Rion," said Nindi. "Sorry yes, because we're dismantling your disguise."

"Udah, no papa. It's a fact of mine." Although it feels painful and disappointed, but how else. He still can't do anything.

A few moments later the show began. Arion just stared at the Light from a distance. Sometimes his eyes are blocked by other guests. After blowing the candles and cutting the cake, Light leaves a third cut for Arion. Just as she was about to give it to Arion, her mother held her hand.

"Shut up, right here! Don't go anywhere" whispered Weni near her daughter's ear.

The light unbundled his intentions and put the cake back.

"Thank you for coming to our daughter's birthday party. We all announce that today is the engagement day of the Light."

The light instantly widened both of his eyes. He looked at his father not understanding. "Papa, what do you mean?"

Fatur held his daughter's arm from leaving. He also coded the Light so as not to argue.

Arion looked up when he heard the announcement, as soon as he broke through his gathered friends.

"Who would you like to be engaged to?"

"Yes, who is it? Rion's? Or who?"

"Please Bayu, stand beside the Light," Fatur said again.

Like being struck by lightning when you see Bayu standing beside the Light. Arion had no idea of the matter at all. His heart ached so much, not only did it hurt because he was about to lose the Light but he also got the fact that his best friend betrayed him. Bayu whom he had always considered his best friend turned out to be just a foul friend who stabbed from behind.

Not only Arion, but all his friends are also surprised because they know Arion is the girlfriend of Light.

The light stared at the Arion nanar. Her tears almost fell. He didn't mean to hurt Arion like this.

Bayu grabbed the hand of Light and was about to put the ring on, but Light brushed it off. "Gue doesn't want your fiancee!"

Then the Light ran over to Arion who had now turned his body. "Rion! It doesn't want me."

Arion took a deep breath to calm his heart. He didn't want to ruin the Light show. "Yes, you go back there." Arion took off Light's hand and then he returned to the drink stand.

"Rion!"

The Fatur restrains the Light's arm as the Light pursues Arion. "Yes, don't embarrass our family. Here too is Papa's business partner."

"But, Pa..."

Fatur pressed his daughter's arm for Light to comply with her. He pulled the Light back to stand on the beautiful tailed stage.

"Sorry, there's a little problem. Ordinary young man. So actually Light and Bayu we have been betrothed since a long time even since they were small we have planned to match them. Now that they're 18, we formalize their relationship and make it public." Fatur brought his daughter closer to Bayu. "Wood, put the ring on Aya's finger."

Bayu holds the Light hand and then pairs the ring on the Light ring finger.

The tears cannot be held back by the light. She was crying, plus pressure from her Papa who told her to put the other ring on Bayu's finger.

Applause accompanied the two of them.

Arion sat down limply. His heart ached, but he could do nothing to fight for his love.

"Rion, be patient." Nindi and a few other female friends were standing near Arion.

"Gue can't imagine how hurt your heart is" Nindi said in tears.

"Nindi, what are you crying about? Make me feel dizzy." Arion snorted in annoyance then he collected the dirty dishes and glasses. He did not care about the gazes of his friends and also their whispers. Although his heart felt very tight but he still had to finish his work.

After all the guests had gone home and the event had finished, Arion and the other waitress were still busy cleaning up the place.

"Rion!" call the Light that is now standing near Arion.

"Yes, you went into the house. I'm at work." Arion continued his work. Even he kept his eyes off the Light.

"Rion, this doesn't want me."

"Yes, not papa. I-i know. Congratulations on..." Then Arion left with the catering equipment.

The light will chase Arion but again he is held back by his mother. "Udah, you don't go after that poor guy anymore. You're engaged to Bayu."

The Light took off the ring and threw it away. Then she ran into her room crying.

"I don't want to be set up like this!" The light sat in front of the mirror while staring at the reflection of his tear-filled face.

"Arion..." The light stared at the pendant hanging around his neck. "I have to see Arion."

Light immediately changed her dress. He now wears his jacket and sling bag which already contains his wallet and mobile phone. He waited for a while until his parents entered the room.

After feeling the house deserted, Light came out of his room and walked slowly towards the door of the house. Thankfully, no one knew he had escaped.

Light orders an ojek online while walking towards the alley of his home complex. After waiting for a while, the online motorcycle taxi driver came and Light immediately climbed into his arms.

Moments later he arrives in front of Arion's house, Light stands by his door and calls Arion.

"Rion, I'm in front of your house..."
