Love In The Throne

Love In The Throne
No Choice

"Dad, what's wrong?" said Nanda who was sitting next to him.

"Dad doesn't know Nanda" he said honestly.

Oma Ana looked up her chin towards Nanda and her father who were speaking softly.

(Behem)

"You must be wondering why I called you two here, right?" Nanda nodded sure to justify his words.

"Nanda, did you know that your father owed a huge debt to this company?" Nanda was quite surprised by what Oma Ana said. Setau Nanda, his father had debts not in his company work. Debt in a Bank.

"Dad, is it true what Oma Ana said? Didn't Dad say, I owe you a bank?" Suitomo just lowered his head. He could not answer questions from his daughter.

"Jawablah Ayaaahhh." said Nanda half forcefully.

"Yeah. What the Big Lady said was right." he said brickly.

"Sorry Oma Ana, how much does my father owe me?"

"Akmal, let's say what the total amount of debt this man has"

"Good Madam" Akmal immediately opened a map containing details of debts owned by Suitomo.

"The total debt of Mr. Suitomo is 250 million rupiah"

Nanda's mouth gaped in disbelief at what he had just heard. He immediately turned his gaze towards his father who had been bowed lethargic.

"Dad... Wh-why do you owe so much?"

"I'm sorry Nanda's Dad. Your mother's medical expenses are huge. So you have to borrow money from this company every month"

"Then what is your debt in the bank? Is it gone?" Suitomo only shook his head weakly.

Nanda bowed lethargic. His body feels weak. He realized that the cost of his mother's treatment was indeed quite large. But what he did not expect turned out to be the nominal debt of his father was already that big.

"I want to offer you a profitable cooperation"

"Cooperate?" suitomo stutters.

"Yes" said Oma Ana while still raising her face forward. There was no smile from him.

"What cooperation does Madam?" Suitomo ventured to ask about the certainty of the cooperation in question.

"WHATAA.... MARRIED??" nanda said half-crying. His eyes glared in shock at the words he had just heard.

"With marriage, I'll settle all your father's debts and I'll pay all your mother's medical expenses until she recovers. Think of this as compensation from me as a return for your services that are already married to my granddaughter"

"Oma Ana, I'm sorry if maybe I was presumptuous. But marriage is a sacred thing. It is not just a deal or a matter of a temporary nature. After all, is Oma's granddaughter willing to accept the offer to marry me?"

"Alvin will marry the woman I chose. If you refuse, then your father must pay all his debts immediately. And if not, I'm not afraid to throw your father in jail" Oma Ana's threat made Nanda shudder and astonished. It turns out this is serious.

Nanda and his father looked at each other. There was no other choice but to accept the crazy offer from Oma Ana. For Nanda, the most important thing is that his father's debt is paid off and his mother's medical expenses are guaranteed. There was no way he would have to sacrifice his father to go to prison.

Nanda stared softly at his father's face that was bowed weakly holding back the embarrassment. He knows, his father must have been hard to do this too. But there is no other choice. There was no way he would let his father crouch behind bars. Let him bear. Maybe this can be a testament to his devotion as a child to parents.

"Well Oma Ana, I'm willing to marry your granddaughter, Alvin" Nanda said.

"Hm... Goody. I'll get everything ready soon. You and your parents just wait for the next news from me"

"Good Oma Ana"

Oma Ana got out of her chair and left Nanda and her father, who were still in the room.

"I'm sorry Nanda's Dad. I can't be a good parent to you and your mother. Father felt very useless as a parent" Suitomo shed tears of deep sadness because he had to sacrifice his daughter's happiness to pay off his debt.

"Yeahhh... Dad don't cry. These are all life lines that we have to live. Nanda is sincere despite having to marry a man whom Nanda does not know. The important thing is that you and your mom are alive, safe and healthy. Perhaps this is the best path that God has chosen for us" Nanda clasped the hand of the Father with tears that are no less swift than the Father.

"Yes, then I'll go back to work. I will also return to my workplace. It doesn't have to be too much for me to think about. Nanda didn't want Dad to be as sick as Mom" Suitomo just nodded his head while wiping away the rest of his tears.

Oma Ana sits in the car. His mind was still attached to Nanda. The sweet girl he met accidentally. And coincidentally, Nanda was involved in the case of the man he wanted to interrogate.

"Hm... Looks like she's a good girl. She is very dear to her parents. In addition, the boy seemed to be a hard worker as well. I hope I'm not wrong to match Nanda with my granddaughter Alvin" Oma Ana said in her heart.

His personal driver with a focused gaze forward very carefully drove the car back to the magnificent Oma Ana residence like a palace.
