CHAPTER 18

Still in class 3A

Rio was still staring intently at Sean, and Sean was no less keenly staring back.

"What do you need to do here?" lina asked which made Rio turn his gaze from Sean towards Lina.

"I just want to give you this" Rio said giving a package containing bread and a bottle of drinking water to Lina

"Thank you, but you didn't bother coming here just to give me this. Sean bought me." said Lina smiling

"I don't feel any hassles. We are friends, it is only natural that a friend cares for his best friend." said Rio with his smile staring at Lina

"Yes, thanks again."

"Hmmm..."

Rio left the class to return to his class. Because he knew that the second lesson would start soon, it was because he could not stay in that class for long.

"He seemed to care so much that he came here just to give it away" Sean said

"He does care about me. Because he's my best friend."

Laras and his two friends who had just finished their meal were put back into his class. After arriving at the class he saw where Sean was in front of Lina who was talking together.

"The braver the girl" said the Princess who also felt careless looking at Lina who was with Sean

Laras did not respond to the Princess's remark and passed sitting on her seat. The princess and Susi who saw it know that Laras is currently feeling jealous.

The second lesson did not sound long. The students who had finished resting re-entered their respective classes.

For almost a day they studied at school. At the end of the day, they can go home.

Lina packed her things, Sean who was still sitting behind Lina had not moved from his seat. He was still watching Lina, and when Lina had gotten up from her seat Sean was standing.

"Lin, you're coming home with me" said Sean, who was walking beside Lina

"No need. I'm not good with you. You gave me a book yesterday and again you bought me bread. I feel bad about you." refused Lina softly

"You don't have to feel bad for me. I do that sincerely, though. And again you were going to go to school with me, so I also have to take you home."

"But I'm"

Sean pulls Lina's hand to follow her to the school parking lot where her car is. Just as she wanted to open the car door for Lina, Rio came and held Lina's hand.

Rio and Sean stared at each other intently. Lina who was in that situation also let go of her two hands held by Sean and Rio.

"Lina, you have to go home with me" Rio said

"Lina came home with me. Because he promised to go home with me."

"When I promised to go home with you." Lina said

"Lo don't interfere. Lina's got to go home with me, if she comes home with Lo's parents worried."

"What are you worried about? Who is Lo, who is she?" sean said no less sharply

"The sahabt cave. It's my responsibility to keep Lina from people like Lo." point Rio to Sean

"Lo was just his best friend. Not her boyfriend, so you don't have to make her go home with Lo."

Sean was getting more and more emotional hearing the speech that Rio had thrown. What Rio said was completely true, if he was just a new person in Lina's life unlike Rio who had known Lina for a long time. But that doesn't mean he'll let Lina go with Rio.

"Lin, who would you rather go home with? Me or him." he said

"I-i'm.."

Lina was confused to have to choose between Rio and Sean. On one side Rio was his best friend since childhood and on the other side Sean had been doing good to him moreover he had even given a novel that he really wanted to read.

Lina was really confused this time. He did not want to disappoint the two.

"Lina.." said Rio softly

Lina looked at Rio who called out her name gently. He could not make his best friend disappointed.

"I'm going home with Rio" said Lina because she felt that Sean had no problem if she went with Rio

But his reality did not match what he thought.

"So you chose him better. It's not that you promised to go home with me, Lin." said Sean

"Sorry Sean, I never promised to go home with you. You're the only one I can make home with you."

"You're a gini anyway."

"Lo don't need to snap at him" said Rio who did not like Lina in snapping

"Lo mending is silent. I'm talking to Lina, not Lo."

"Udah.kalian quiet. Sean I can't go home with you today, sorry. I hope you understand." said Lina holding Rio's hand trying to calm down

Sean is disappointed to see Lina cares more about Rio than he does.

"OK, fine. You're more choosy on him than I am. I admit I am just a new friend in your life. Or maybe I'm the only one who thinks you're a friend, and you never think of me." Sean walked into his car

Lina who heard the words just now that Sean had thrown out somehow felt guilty. He wants to get to Sean in the car but his hand is held back by Rio. He also abandoned his intentions. Sean's car passed leaving them both.

"You don't have to care about him. He was rude to you, just now he snapped at you."

"He's not like that. Maybe he's just an emotion."

"That's what's wrong with him. He can't hold back his emotions until he dares to snatch you. Rich people don't care. Anyway I don't like you being close to him."

"Rio, what's wrong with you?" lina shouted annoyed with Rio's attitude, before her Rio never acted like this to her.

"She's no good being your friend."

"But he's the-"

Not yet had time to finish his speech, Rio first pulled Lina's hand towards his motor sport.

"Udah, up." said Rio

Lina was riding Rio's bike because she didn't want to add to the problem.
