Chapter 9's

“Eh, why did you see Ruby smiling so?” Reprimand Selena to Angkasa who was eating in the cafeteria with her because the man kept looking at Ruby who was sitting at the table beside them.

“It's okay.” Space seems like there is nothing that he feels now.

“You like Ruby?” Whether it's a question or not, that obviously sounds like a true accusation.

Angkasa's eyes were round because he was so shocked he did not expect that his best friend would talk that relaxed and tight. What if the person they are talking about hears it?

“Ssttt !!” It felt like space wanted to stuff Selena's mouth with her hands. It could get messy if Selena spreads it to someone else. “Do not be noisy !”

Now Selena feels victorious because it turns out her guess is right. He laughed loudly and it made Angkasa move out of place and rushed to silence Selena's mouth with his hand. The two of them became the center of attention of the people in the cafeteria.

The two teenagers really do not understand that the people who are staring at it think that their relationship is more than a friendly relationship.

Even Ruby thought so.

In the hours of returning home from school, Angkasa rushed out of class as if there was an urgent matter that made him have to leave Selena who usually goes home with him. Even Angkasa did not hear Selena's call asking where she was in a hurry.

Selena who finished packing the book into the bag also rushed after Angkasa who just left it.

“Where did he go? He was in a hurry, but the bike is still in the parking lot.”

The girl is still busy looking for Angkasa which is known to still be in school. Selena then remembered something, she rushed to the basketball court which was not too far from the parking lot.

His steps stopped when he watched two people who were in the middle of the basketball court. The catch is true, Angkasa did meet Ruby who will practice cheers there, but there is only Ruby and Space in the field. He did not even dare to enter the basketball court, as if the boundary line on the edge of the field was a real line that he could not pass. From a distance he can only watch what his best friend will do to someone he likes, Ruby.

Yes, Angkasa is now trying to express his feelings for Ruby. Then Selena, she's just a spectator. From the distance with the two people, Selena can still hear their conversation, or arguably only Space that continues to talk since then.

“Again, please think carefully about my statement earlier. You have plenty of time to consider it.” A sweet smile Angkasa was engraved at the corner of his lips. But, Selena who witnessed it actually felt her heart sliced. Bemoan. “Lega it feels like I can say that I love you, Ruby.”

Ruby still didn't give an answer. His lips were so tight. As if he would not give any response. Space can understand that, maybe Ruby was surprised, he thought.

Ruby finally realizes Selena's presence on the sidelines. Then he turned to staring at space. “I can't.”

Automatic Space smiled wryly. “Why?”

Ruby, the girl, she had always thought that the proximity of Space to Selena was more than just a friend. But now Angkasa just stood in front of him and expressed feelings towards him. His heart was worried, what he and his friends thought was wrong with their relationship, he thought.

“Because I can't.”

Selena who heard Ruby's rejection was no less surprised by Ruby's answer. Because he thought Ruby would accept Space, someone who was kind and never had a negative record in school.

Space can say nothing more. He cannot force. In fact, he felt that his actions were quite reckless, expressing love to a girl who he could only talk to if they met at a basketball game and Ruby became his cheerleader. Even in the cafeteria, he did not greet the girl.

Ruby left the Space still in the middle of the field. Ruby left and it seemed like her plan for the afternoon cheers practice was off.

The next day, Selena came to school that morning but she went straight to Ruby's class upstairs from her class. Fortunately, the man he was looking for had already arrived.

“Can I talk to you for a minute?” Said Selena who just walked into Ruby's class.

“What's up?” Ask Ruby.

“Soal Angkasa.”

Kontan alone Ruby gulped his saliva with great difficulty. He was really worried that if Selena came to see him it was because she did not accept what Space had said to her yesterday.

“Why with him?” Ruby didn't seem to understand where Selena was talking.

“Why did you just reject it? He even gave you time to consider it.” It was a sentence that never crossed Ruby's mind. Does that mean Selena doesn't have any feelings for Space?

“But..”.

“Sorry if I interfere. But, I can't see my best friend as heartbroken as yesterday. He didn't even say anything after you left.”

It was clearly heard in Ruby's ears that Selena stated that she and Space were only friends. Ruby carved a knotty smile, because she was a little relieved and actually she had the same feeling towards Angkasa.

“It's okay, Cell. I also admitted yesterday that I was wrong to just reject it. I'm just afraid if he's just going to play around, we're not even close.”

“So, do you want to reconsider?” Ask Selena. Ruby was silent for a moment, then finally nodded. He would consider it, ah no, maybe Ruby would receive Space directly.
