One week later.
Today the sky was not so clear, when Zenaya had just arrived at the hospital. The girl had just come during the day because she had to accompany her father to a seminar first at one of the campuses. Her relationship with Grace is fine. After two days of silence, Zenaya decided to call and apologize to the woman.
Their friendship for a dozen years made the two unable to fight for long, as well as Alice and Emily.
"Siang, ma'am" said the hospital staff and several nurses who passed by him. They bowed respectfully even though Zenaya repeatedly forbade him from doing so.
"Just as well." Answer Zenaya kindly. He was also invited to talk with two young nurses who were busy gossiping in front of the elevator.
"The handsome guy, you know, Mom. But baby, he had to have an accident right on his way home. Though it was his first return after 10 years of wandering in the land of people. Fortunately now his condition has improved and is in physical therapy with Mr. David's on the fifth floor" said Jane, one of the young nurses who had just been sworn in.
Zenaya smiled as she shook her head. "You guys, it is forbidden to talk about patients, you know," said the girl as she left her waist.
Both nurses were embarrassed. "Sorry, Mom. This one can't be missed." Jane nudges Celeste to seek approval.
Celeste, who is more senior than Jane, agrees. "Sorry, Mom, this time I agree with Jane."
Zenaya laughed a little. "Basic! Remember to stay professional at work?"
Two nurses were respectful. " Well, ma'am," said the two in unison. The elevator door in front of them opened. Zenaya enters alone as she is about to climb to the fifth floor, while Jane and Celeste descend into the basement to help review the newly arrived drugs.
"Bye, Mother." Jane and Celeste waved their hands at the girl. Zenaya returned the wave of their hands while giving a warning to no longer gossip while at work. Some of the young nurses did look awkward close to him. Understandably, in addition to Zenaya's very friendly attitude, he was also one of the five senior hospital officials at a young age.
After the elevator door closed, the girl's face instantly turned cold. Clearly he knew who the two nurses were talking about.
Moments later the elevator stopped on the fifth floor, where the room was located.
Zenaya exhaled as she recalled Jane's words, that the man was physiotherapy on the fifth floor. That meant, he had to pass through the place to get to his study. The VVIP patient-specific physiotherapy room is indeed on that floor.
"Goodle. Do it once again, after that we're done," said Mr. David on a running Reagent rests on a parallel bar.
Reagents responded to David's orders. His left body that functions normally makes it easier for the man to help support his left body, if he wants to fall.
"As I said before, don't burden your left side. Slowly step up" said the therapist.
Reagents nodded in understanding. He began to focus on slowly following David's direction. However, unnoticed by the man, Zenaya was standing behind the glass door of the room.
Zenaya watched Reagen with a flat look. The man still looks the same as he had in his memories ten years ago. It's just that, the Reagents' facial lines look more firm and mature. His body also looks higher, as evidenced from the height of the parallel bar used is not a standard size.
David who was turning his eyes to the corner of the room suddenly saw Zenaya standing outside. The man left Reagen for a while and walked over to Zenaya.
"Zen, is the seminar over?" david asked as he opened the door.
Zenaya was surprised. Apparently he was daydreaming, until he did not realize that David was now in front of him.
"Yet. The seminar was still a long time, so I decided to come here first" Zenaya replied with a friendly smile.
David nodded in understanding.
"It looks like you're busy, I'd better not bother you" said Zenaya, preparing to leave before the Reagents looked at them.
"Not really. Today, there is only one patient that I have. It's actually my day off, but your father asked me to take care of this one patient. Understandably, he is the youngest son of the owner of Walker Group." David put on a resigned face, then chuckled. The man was indeed one of the best young therapists that Winston General Hospital had. Many important and famous people ask him to handle their therapy. If the schedule is very tight, patients even have to be willing to wait their turn for several days.
"Ahh, so it looks." Zenaya nodded small. David had to sacrifice his day off. The Reagents specifically asked him directly to the father, so that the man was prioritized.
"Well then, I go in first huh? Next time we have lunch together. You're too fixated on Grace to refuse my lunch invitations to go on." David patted Zenaya's shoulder.
Zenaya grimacing. "OK." He left the physiotherapy room without looking back inside.
...***...
Some staff and medics were rejoicing when they saw the first snow falling from behind hospital windows. The same thing was felt by Zenaya. For some reason, the girl always liked the moment when it first snowed.
For the sake of enjoying it, Zenaya decided to get out of her room, towards the artificial garden on the fifth floor. Each floor in the hospital does have an artificial garden, so patients can keep walking while breathing fresh air without having to go down to the bottom floor.
Zenaya opened the building door. There were patients and hospital staff there. They greeted Zenaya kindly as soon as they saw the girl coming.
"Beautiful, ma'am," said Jane suddenly.
Zenaya nodded in surprise. "Well, what are you doing here?" tanyakanya. As far as the girl was concerned, Jane was on duty in the dialysis section on the third floor.
"Here, right, the highest floor, ma'am. So it's more like the light when you see the snow from here" Jane replied, flaunting her white teeth.
"If you want more, get on the rooftop, Jane." Zenaya smiled slightly.
"Dad, Mother." Jane pretended to frown, then laughed. Not wanting to disturb Zenaya's calm, the friendly nurse left her.
The park is starting to fall. There are only three patients who still enjoy the snow with one of their relatives who accompany them.
After a while, the girl was planning to leave. The hours of work have passed since.
Zenaya walked towards the only door connecting the park and the hospital building.
As the distance got closer, Zenaya suddenly stopped her steps. From behind the transparent hospital glass, he could see very clearly, a man sitting on a wheelchair was moving towards him.
Zenaya backed off as the door opened.
The reagent who had painstakingly made it out of the building, was suddenly transfixed when in front of him stood a girl whom he had longed for all this time.
