Summoning The Holy Sword's

Summoning The Holy Sword's
Chapter 6

The Wind Serpents' attacks slowly shrank. Chaos, anger, screams, and shouts turned silent. Everyone looked towards Rhode, speechless.

For a moment, almost everyone thought Rhode was dead. Never did they imagine that one could escape the siege of the Wind Snake. Of course, a high-level mercenary or a knight with a donned with full body armor might be able to withstand it, but Rhode did not look like a veteran at all. Other than his white sword, he had no other protective equipment.

He did it .

Lize, Carter and the rest of the crew couldn't help but stare at the young man wonderfully.

Who her?

No one knew if it was due to Rhode's attack or some other reason, but the Wind Snake that was still trying to attack the floating ship started to scatter and retreat. For some time, the entire deck was deserted. Only the sound of wind could be heard. The mercenaries were struck by Rhode's performance, but Rhode didn't seem to care what they thought of him. Instead, when he looked at the pile of corpses, deep down, he felt quite good.

The Wind Snake was among the many low-level monsters. Their individual strength was not too great as they relied on their large numbers to win. Rhode Class, Spirit Swordsman was a solo oriented class but had low attack power. The reason why everything went smoothly was because of Star Mark who gave him an extra +3 for all the stats. So when he held the sword, the monster's danger level dropped from red to green. Thus, eliminating the entire group of Wings Snakes was not an extraordinary thing.

Still, Rhode felt that something was amiss; based on his experience, Star Mark should not have been defeated. According to his original estimation, the Blade of Destruction should have only badly injured the Wind Snake, and he had prepared a backup plan in case things turned awry. He never thought that the Blade of Destruction could kill all monsters.

Are his statistics as a human being not calculated correctly?

Thinking of this, Rhode subconsciously opened the Character Status window. He did not know what to check for because his race was still unknown, hence, his stats were also hidden. But fortunately, he gained 1900 EXP in this battle.

Can I get EXP? Wow, that's a surprise. . . !

While he was checking his profits, the officers thought that he was just staring at the pile of corpses.

Suddenly, Rhode felt a strange presence. It's not a person, but it's more dangerous.

Where's the Snake Wing?

This thought flashed through Rhode's mind. He seemed to think of something and then quickly turned his head and shouted.

He immediately realized that something was wrong and quickly turned his head to shout.

"Everyone, be careful …!"

And at this moment, the floating ship suddenly shook.

The violent tremors caused many people to fall to the ground. There were even two people with bad luck who did not have time to stabilize themselves and they slipped and fell off the ship.

Then, the front deck opened, followed by the head of the huge Wind Snake that suddenly appeared.

"Be careful, it's the Wind Snake God!"

At this moment, Carter finally appeared. He shouted and rushed towards the huge Wind Snake. The other mercenaries also quickly stood up. Even though they were injured, they kept their teeth clenched and followed their leader to attack the monster.

However, Rhode's actions were faster than theirs …

He lowered his body, a line of requesting systems immediately appeared in front of him.

[Used 1 Skill Point to increase the shadow of Swordsmanship month 1/4, Rank D. Shadow Flash has been opened]

Activate it.

Rhode jumped into the sky.

Everyone thought they were hallucinating. They saw the young man who was originally standing on the ground suddenly turn into a black shadow, like a sharp blade piercing forward, and even the great Wind Snake God could not react.

Rhode raised his sword and thrust his sword into the eyes like the wind chimes of the Wind God.

Facing the incoming sword attack, the first reaction of the Wind Serpent God was to dodge. But after raising the Moon Shadow Swordsmanship level to Rank D, the power of the Blade of Destruction had increased to another level. A myriad of white flashes fused at the tip of the sword.

One two three . . .

At first, the formidable scales of the Wind Snake managed to withstand the attack. But even with his Master's defensive rank, it fell by the twentieth slash. Then Rhode's sword easily tore off his scales, flesh, and blood, piercing into his body. Although the body of the Wind Snake God was large, Rhode knew where to find the weak spot on his body. With his excellent control, his slash did not spread out like before, but instead focused on his neck.

"——— !!"

The Wind God Snake let out a sharp scream and fell onto the deck. But even so, it still did not give up on attacking. Although the left part of his neck had turned into blood and flesh, the Wind Snake God still raised his head and looked at Rhode. Then suddenly opened his mouth.

Rhode dodged, once again turning into a shadow and retreating backwards. However, a poison bullet could shoot towards him directly, almost grazing him. As Rhode dodged, the poison landed on the back of the pole. In a short period of time, the poison corroded through the originally thick pole and pole melted within a few seconds.

As expected of the BOSS monster.

According to Rhode's game experience, Wind Serpent was on average at level 3 and Lord was at level 10. Looking at the BOSS monster in front of him, he judged that his level should not be more than 10. With his current level and with Carter and the mercenaries catching his eye, defeating this boss shouldn't be too difficult.

But judging from the attack earlier, he discovered that it was not a normal God-class monster, but a BOSS Elite type. Because if it was just a normal God-class boss, then the attack just now should have cut off his wings. But even though he had already tried his best, he could only leave a visible scar.

"Strike its wings, remember to distance yourself from its mouth and attack from the side!"

Rhode instructed Carter and the other mercenaries while fighting the Wind Snake God. Although he was a Spirit Swordsman and not a tank, but looking at the current situation, it seemed that no one had the experience to deal with the Wind Snake.

In the game, if the group dies while fighting the Wind Snake, a replay is possible. But here, Rhode could not take that risk. The wound that was starting to heal had started to hurt again; it tore him apart. If he were to die here, he would not know whether to laugh or cry anymore.

Although he was still at level 5, for Rhode, as long as his opponent did not exceed level 15, he still had the confidence to win. After all, in the Dragon Soul Continent, there were three classes that leveled up mainly by killing monsters: Magicians, Rangers – and lastly – Spirit Swordsmen.

Witches were known for their unexpected magic, guards were known for their kiting power attacking from great distances, and Spirit Swordsmen used large fleets to defeat their enemies. For these three classes, even if the level difference was more than five, or even if the opponent was an Elite BOSS with a difference of ten levels, it was still an easy matter.

Even so, these three classes were flawed. Magicians without magic stood a target, even a group of low-level monsters could defeat them. Rangers in close combat are just tragic. The Spirit Swordsmen attack patterns were too random and their movements were too complex and impossible to follow. This was the reason why these three classes were unable to steamroll on the map alone. The game's mechanics were deliberately designed for the Dragon Soul Continent, to make it more realistic. To take risks yourself and go for unusual ways, or to take a steady step forward. . . Players can decide their own destiny.

The Level 10 Wind Serpent Lord Elite BOSS in front of him was injured because of Star Mark. The Wind Serpent's defense was only around level 6 or 7 so that's why Rhode didn't hesitate to be more aggressive. However, the offensive power of the Wind Snake. . .

"Swoosh !!"

A strong wind shook the ground.

Rhode was startled; he quickly dodged backwards, barely making it in time. The Wind Snake Wing failed to connect with its intended target and crashed into the deck, creating a huge hole.

As expected of a Level 10 Elite BOSS attack.

Rhode wiped the cold sweat off his forehead. Now he was only level 5 with no equipment other than his sword. If he was hit by the attack, he would definitely not survive. He was also worried about Carter and the others.

The good news is that he did the most damage to the BOSS, so mostly just focused on him. The bad news is that it is supervised by this kind of high-level BOSS. .for a non-tank class like him, the pressure is huge. . .

30% of his Soul Power was abandoned. He was starting to feel a bit weak. Although he had already guessed that the fight would be difficult, his strength was truly too great. He needed someone to help him draw attention so he could attack from behind. With his current stats, dodging the Wind Serpent Lord's attacks was impossible. On the other hand, he needed to use the Blade of Destruction skill to inflict damage and kill him in the shortest time possible.

But now it doesn't seem easy.

The floating ship slowly landed, but under the siege of the Wind Snake God, it continued to tremble as if facing a huge storm. Two mercenaries fell from the ship and it was almost impossible for them to live. Carter was still trying to drive out the Wind Snake God. He moved with his sword, attacking the Wind Snake God flexibly at different angles, but it was still useless. If not for Lize using a healing spell from behind, the mercenaries would not have been able to survive until now.

I have to think of a way. Otherwise, before we can land, we will all be killed by this damned Wind Snake God.

Thinking up to here, Rhode bit his lip.

The Wind God Snake did not stop attacking; its wings continued to flap on the deck. Both of his claws gripped the edge of the ship tightly. Although the attack Rhode had done on him had given him quite a lot of damage, but as a God-class monster, it would definitely not fall down just because of this small injury. Instead, the cunning Wind Snake God seemed to be aware of his opponent's weakness. Both of its sharp claws gripped the hull of the floating ship tightly and shook it firmly.

Although the hull of the floating ship was strong, due to the battle with the Wind Snake earlier, it was already badly damaged. Now, coupled with the strong wind around the ship, it had already started to distort. Several cracks appeared on the deck, followed by the sound of sharp wood chips.

"Oh, Holy Soul save me …!"

Cowering in the corner of the captain's room, the fat merchant stared at the terrifying Wind Serpent God outside. But out of nervousness and fear, his voice became somewhat distorted.

"That damned richard !! Don't let me see you or I'll kill you! Giving me a route like this, it practically kills!" Speaking up to here, the fat merchant was suddenly horrified in fear and looked at the captain next to him.

"And you! Why don't you remind me of such a horrible thing !?"

The captain did not answer. At this moment he was clenching the steering wheel, focusing his attention on the front. But in his heart, he cursed that fatty. Before departing, he clearly reminded her that by taking this route, they could lure the Wind Snake, but this fatty just brushed it off as if it was nothing.

Good, when something happens, you actually blame me! If I had known, I wouldn't have taken this job even if you killed me!
