Summoning The Holy Sword's

Summoning The Holy Sword's
Chapter 5

The Wind Snake biting the empty air.

It would have worked if Rhode had not suddenly appeared from behind.

"Mr Rhode?"

Lize, who had just escaped the attack of the Wind Snake, raised her head in surprise. He was surprised to find Rhode standing behind him. Right now, he was leaning on his arm. Perhaps, it was because he was afraid that his entire body felt weak and helpless. He wanted to stand up, but his legs felt helpless, so he sat down instead.

"Lize!"

Seeing that Lize had escaped death, Carter felt relieved. But soon, his heart stiffened again. Because at this moment, the Wind Snake from before had turned around. It flapped its wings, intending to attack again.

Curse it!

He gripped his sword and dashed to Lize, hoping he would succeed. But no matter how hard he ran, he was unable to catch up.

Looking at the Wind Snake, the girl could not hold her breath. He wanted to do something, but he didn't know what to do. As a cleric, he could not use weapons. So what should he do?

"Make it to me . "

Just when Lize fell into a panic, she could hear Rhode's voice from behind. Then, he saw Rhode take half a step forward, blocking him from harm.

Was he intending to fight the Wind Snake?

Lize was puzzled, yet she still noticed Rhode extending his right hand. Suddenly, Lize noticed the mark on her right hand. It was a complex and beautiful magic circle. The magic line spread out, running into each of his fingers. Then a transparent object like a card appeared from the middle of his palm.

Then, Rhode clenched his hands tightly.

A blinding white light suddenly appeared.

An invisible magic had lifted the seal, turned into visible air and spread to the surroundings. The first Wind Snake that had attacked shouted and flapped its wings. It tries to keep the balance out of turbulence. But before it could take any further action, a dazzling light suddenly exploded in the air. It slashed the body of the Wind Snake and sent it flying.

"Sighs…"

Rhode sighed. At that moment, the dazzling light had already disappeared — was replaced by an extremely beautiful, transparent, and pure white sword that appeared in his right hand. He waved the Star Mark Sword in his hand, spreading out the remaining specks of light. It was a very interesting sight.

He did not notice that, at this moment, everyone else was completely astonished. Lize sat on the ground blankly, looking at the man standing before her in great disbelief. Carter also slowed down his pace, looking Rhode in the eyes with shock in his eyes. Although he suspected that Rhode was not an ordinary person, he never thought that he would be so 'incredible'.

Although he was still sitting on the ground, Lize still could not enjoy enjoying the pure sword in front of him. It was a thin sword carved with a simple pattern, emitting a faint light around it. It could be seen with the naked eye that the tiny particles of light were as beautiful as magic. Moreover, the folded wings on it made it look very beautiful, even the pieces of its fur were clearly visible. Although girls would normally not be so interested in weaponry, this sword far surpassed ordinary weapons. Calling it a work of art is also not excessive.

Lize really appreciated that, but Carter was different. As an experienced adventurer, Carter swore that he had never seen such a strange thing. In fact, when Rhode called out his weapon, Carter was stunned. Although he had seen some magician calls, they usually used crystals as a medium. They also needed to cast spells first and after that, some ugly monsters would be summoned. But can I call a weapon? He really never saw such a sight.

Although Carter was not sure what kind of thing Rhode was in, he could be sure that this kind of magic weapon could not be used by a normal person. A person qualified to use this kind of weapon must be a noble or an extraordinary person. Looking at the beautiful wings on the sword, Carter could only frown. He was of course convinced that on this continent, the angels were a very noble race. Most of them stand out, or they support some important group. Just like the ruler of the Munn Kingdom, Lydia Paphield Mila Frederica who ascended the throne three years ago was also an angel. Although the young man before him had yet to reveal his true identity, but Carter could be sure that based on that weapon, Rhode and the nobles must have some kind of connection.

When these thoughts crossed Carter's mind, he had already arrived beside the two.

"Are you okay?"

"I-I'm fine."

Lize's little face was a bit pale. It's not because he's a coward. After all, it was only because of the situation. If Rhode hadn't pulled her back in time, she would have been dead. The fear of barely escaping death was definitely not something that ordinary people could understand.

After confirming that Lize was unharmed, Carter immediately turned to look at Rhode who was standing beside her.

"Mr Rhode, are you okay?"

Rhode nodded, signaling that he was fine. Although the left part of his body still hurt, it did not affect his fight. Rather, more than himself, he was more concerned about other things.

"What are you guys gonna do?"

The Wind Snake around them continued to rise. Even though the floating ships had been speeding up at top speed, they still could not get rid of most of the Wind Snake's attacks. Their situation had not improved; on the contrary, it was getting worse.

"We intend to fight until we get out of their territory. Before that, we can just keep going."

After speaking, the young man in front of him frowned.

"It's too late, Mr. Carter."

"Oh?"

"Wind Swords really excel in this area. Even if you speed up, we still have no way to go in time before the floating ship collapses."

"Very?"

Carter is not stupid. The reason he made that decision was because he was unfamiliar with the field. After Rhode stopped talking, he immediately understood the seriousness of the matter.

"So what should we do?"

"Fortly landed."

Rhode had almost no hesitation in giving his answer. Then he stretched out his hand and pointed to the side.

"Then we rush to that side."

Carter looked in the direction Rhode pointed. His eyes were wide open as if he was completely shocked.

"Do you mean we should hurry to the Twilight Forest?"

"If you want to get rid of the Wind Snake, this is our only way, and …"

Saying up to here, Rhode looked around.

"We're almost done."

The situation is getting worse.

Wind Snakes not only have sharp teeth, but their corrosive toxins are also very dangerous. Moreover, the cunning Wind Snake. After the direct attack failed, they would immediately change their objectives. Now, there were many Wind Snakes shattering the glass and entering the cabin. Faced with such a situation, everyone could not resist. Although the narrow space in the cabin limited their flexibility, their threat had not diminished. Precisely because of this the current cabin situation was completely messy. Smoke even started to billow out of the ship.

The situation is so bad!

Carter turned around. Meanwhile, Rhode held his sword and blocked the front of the gap.

"Hissing!!"

A Wind Snake flew in from the right, opening its jaws wide to attack Rhode. But as it rushed, Rhode only stepped to the left. He held his sword and smashed it into the Wind Serpent's chin. The impact sent the Wind Snake flying away and at the same time, also blocked the other Wind Snake from spraying poison. Then Rhode quickly turned around; his silvery hand emitted a light that accurately blocked another Wind Snake's attack attempt from his back. While it was losing its balance, he thrust his sword forward, completely ending the life of the poor Wind Snake.

But the Wind Snake's attack did not stop there. The smell of blood has stimulated them. When Rhode tried to remove the dead body of the Wind Snake from his sword, many Wind Snakes rushed towards him. They came wave after wave. It looked like a green cloud from a distance, but it also looked like an unknown monster that could devour it at any moment.

"Mr Rhode!"

After spreading poison from the mercenaries, Lize turned around and looked at Rhode as he subconsciously called out to him.

A stream of acidic liquid was sprayed like rain, targeting Rhode. If he gets hit, it means death.

But at this moment, Rhode suddenly moved back.

Acid misses him, dripping on the deck. It created a slight smoke, and the corrosion hissed a small hole. Almost at the same time, a group of Wind Snakes rushed at him. Taking the risk, they had to destroy this dangerous man in front of them.

If it was any other ordinary person, perhaps they would freeze in fear. However, Rhode was calm. He held his sword in his right hand and pushed forward.

Blade of Destruction, Activate.

A white light suddenly rushed towards the group of Wind Snakes. One into two, two into four — slashes were like razors, moving quickly and piercing each Wind Snake. A powerful air swept through the deck as if there was a gigantic and invisible hand separating them, ruthlessly tearing their bodies apart. Within a few seconds, the green cloud was completely torn apart by the dazzling light, leaving only bits of flesh and blood.

At that moment, everyone held their breath.
