Syaza smiled and started to tell stories. For almost half an hour he told me everything. Anita wiped away the tears. Only then did he know now why the friend in front of him was acting like a man. Rough and not soft like him and the other girls. Apparently Syaza keeps a lot of bitter memories in his teenage years.
"You heard all my stories, right ? So of course you know why my heart is heavy to visit Umi in the village. I can't forget what my father did before."
"I understand, Syaz. You said you missed Umi, right ? So, you have to solve this problem. If you do not agree with your proposal, just talk to him if you have your own choice. Mustn't force you anymore."
"You think Umi will believe what I say, my male-like character who will."
"You try it first ! The time you let this problem drag on until it interferes with your relationship with Umi. Shaz, err... Can I ask you a little ? I hope you're not angry at my question."
"Nita, ask. Why would I be angry if you just asked."
"Where is your father now ? He was looking for you not after divorcing you eight years ago ?"
"That guy ? I hate to remember that he was my father. The feeling of vengeance still lingers in my heart until now. If given a choice, I would choose Abah instead of choosing that cruel man. In fact, I was very grateful when he divorced umi" Syaza said again. She noticed Anita looking at him in wonder.
"So, until now he's never been looking for you and Umi ?"
"We've met him but..."
"But what, Syaz ? He still likes to hit like he used to ?" Anita asked impatiently without waiting for Syaza to finish his words first.
"You're this. I'm not done talking either... Why did you cut it."
"Sorry ! Continue with your story."
"Eh, you can't talk like that ! Although your father was cruel to you and Umi, but he was your guardian. If you want to get married, you have to find her, too."
"HELlo... Helos... Brother Nita ! I haven't finished the story yet. You cut it again, why ?"
Anita gave a small laugh and raised her hand apologizing. He felt Syaza glancing sharply at him.
"Obviously, the man I hated wanted to see us one last time before he was hanged for killing his friend. He wants to apologize for the mistake he made against us. But only Umi went to see him because I didn't want to see him and forgive his mistakes. Although Umi persuaded me to forget all the bitter events of the past and meet for the last time, but my love is no longer for a man who holds my father's title."
"I sympathize with you, Shaza. Sorry for making you bring up all your bitter stories first. I hope that someday, your wounded heart will be healed by men and I hope that your prince will change the nature of your tombo."
"Oh my goodness, I've been talking to you ! Not sleeping but delirious."
"May my mouth be salty. Cumshit, Syaz... My eyes are sleepy too. I'll go first."
"Thanks, Nita... I want to hear my boring story. I'll think about your proposal." Shaza said to his friend.
"No need to thank, what good is a good friend if you can't hear the problems of her best friend" Anita said gently as she stepped out of the room.
Syaza took a picture of his family located on the table. His eyes saw a smiling image of Umi holding her next to Abah, Abang Ammar, and Ammir's sister.
"Umi, your son will be home soon too" Syaza said slowly as he hugged the picture. And that night his sleep was accompanied by a beautiful dream with his beloved Umi.
