Just a Substitute
Chapter 38's

"Isn't that Mamah's car?" Shanum's forehead frowned. Two cars were parked, but no one was in the yard.

"Yes, but where are they?" Raka turned his gaze in all directions, not even the figure of their parents was found.

Shanum opens the car door and exits followed by Raka who does the same. They came to the two cars, checked the owner.

"Nothing. Where to, huh?" Shanum looked at Raka with a squeaking face.

"Maybe to the back of the time" said Raka guessed.

Shanum walked first to their backyard. Sayup-sayup heard the sound of laughter from the two middle-aged pairs behind the house. Shanum and Raka smiled, continuing their steps towards the source of the voice.

"Mamma! Papahs!" call them at once. The four middle-aged men turned their heads.

"You're home yet?" Leni and Nia rushed over to the two, greeted by a helping hand.

"When did you guys come? Why sit in the backyard?" shanum asked, looking at the two of them.

"We came here you didn't exist. Yeah, we'll just wait here." Nia explained.

Raka and Shanum approached their father, and greeted the two.

"Yes, let's go in!" Shanum opened the back door and invited them all in.

"Why did Mom come to Papah this afternoon?" shanum asked as he brought drinks and snacks to the living room.

He sat beside Raka, they were in pairs. Nia and Leni glanced at each other, their gazes sweeping across Shanum's abdomen.

"We don't know if it's a surprise for us or a surprise for you. Why don't you say the same to us?" said Nia smiling strangely at the newlyweds.

Shanum and Raka turned to each other, the wrinkles on their foreheads clearly visible. Confused by what the mother asked.

"What do you mean? What's not to say to Mom?" shanum asked with a puzzled look.

"Here you are, don't hide anymore. How many months?" The question from Leni further made Shanum and Raka clueless. The two are not aware that they are talking about Shanum content that has not been deliberately told to their parents.

"What do you mean?" It was Raka's turn to ask her mother.

They snorted, assuming the child and daughter-in-law in front were pretending not to understand.

"Duh, you guys. Still pretending, yeah. When do you want to hide Shanum's pregnancy? We also deserve to know, dong. How, anyway?" Leni grumbled in annoyance, but a happy hue clearly emanated on the almost wrinkled face.

Shanum harrumphed, glancing at Raka who was instantly stunned to hear a slightly high voice from his mama.

"Mmm... That problem?" Raka scratched her non-itchy head, snarling from the sharp gaze of the mama.

"Yes, Son. Why didn't you tell me Mamah and Papah?" Nia spoke more softly, looking at the two with a warm smile typical of a mother.

Shanum threw a gaze at the woman who had given birth to him. There was happiness on his old face. Making Shanum crisp.

"Yesterday we had a little problem, Mah. So, not yet. Lagian lately cake orders are also very much, still have not had time to tell about Shanum's pregnancy," Shanum said while throwing a glance at Raka.

Raka smiled, it's time they reported the good news to the parents.

"Yes, Mah, Pah. Not even a chance, after all, just want to enter five months." Raka chimed in while grabbing Shanum's hand and grasping it.

"Udah, Mah. Tomorrow the plan is to check again," replied Shanum dibangguki Raka.

"Gee, our son is a geezer too, Pah. Go straight, you know!" Leni squeezes the hand of her husband.

Raka blushed, glancing at the ducking Shanum hiding the hue on his cheek.

"Take a. Great of you, Ka. Papah used to take two new years to have you. This is straight up. That's incredible!" Papah Raka praised the child, giving a high thumbs up.

The more blushed Shanum's husband, inwardly proud of his power. The squeezing of Shanum's fingers, powerless to withstand the turmoil of happiness.

"We're really lucky parents, so quick to have grandchildren. Feels real old," asloh Nia with teary eyes.

"Oh, this Mom. Are we old, new time?" ledek the husband clucked while shaking his head.

"Yes, yeah. No, not self-conscious." They chuckle, the conversation continues around Shanum's pregnancy and they will both take turns taking care of the baby.

At nightfall, the three women in the house were busy in the kitchen. The two were busy making a menu for dinner, one was left to watch on the grounds that she was pregnant so it was easy to feel tired.

"Darling for five months. Though Mamah wants to make a four-monthly event if you know from the beginning," chirped Nia while slicing vegetables.

"Sorry, Mah, but there's still seven months. Later, yes, in seven months. It's okay, isn't it?" Shanum feels bad, due to a misunderstanding between them, the two forget to report Shanum's pregnancy.

"Yes, Miss Nia. We're doing a seven-monthly event. We invite friends let them all know that soon we'll have a grandchild" Leni said. Can't wait to imagine the event where all their colleagues will be invited.

"Well, really. Good idea, we invite all the friends. Don't forget also the neighbors, so that those who like the nyinyir mouth can be put on them." Nia.

Shanum sighed, starting to be a good listener for the two mak-mak gossip show before him. He shook his head, folded both hands on his stomach, seeing how cool they were gossiping.

"Yes, really. That's the Juminah who likes to smear, his mouth is rich in leaking buckets, keep squirtting, let me get it too."

"Emang he is the most famous, especially if we are together again. Keep proud of his son-in-law who said he had a car, had a house, had a good job." Leni flicked her lips.

The hotter the gossip came out of their mouth. Shanum sighed many times, still being a loyal listener.

"Mah! Not good, you know, talking about people. Ghibah, it can't." Shanum finally opened his voice, his own guard heard the gossip they were doing.

"Astaghfirullah al-adhiim! You really are, Sha. Why are we gossiping like this?" Nia closed her mouth, noticing that the caliph had been talking about someone else.

"Yes, too, yeah. How are we even talking about people?" Leni chimed in after waking up. Then they both laughed, not knowing what they were laughing at. Shanum frowned not understanding.

"Eh, Sha. What time do you go to the doctor tomorrow?" ask Leni while serving food that has been cooked.

"Not knowing, anyway, Mah. How Raka aja," Shanum replied uncertainly.

"Kabarin aja if you want to go, we want to follow." Nia glanced at Leni while playing her eyes.

Shanum nodded his head without saying anymore.

Brak!

Eh?

"What?"
