Just a Substitute
Chapter 33

Raka arrives home and rushes out of the car. Running towards the terrace, but when it was about to open the door turned out to be locked.

"Shanon! Shanum, are you inside? Open, Sha!" raka shouted while banging on the door of the house.

"Shanon! Shanum!" Raka called his wife, but there was no word. He walked towards the window of the room, closed like never before.

"Shanum is not home. Is he going to Mamah's house?" Raka muttered anxiously when she realized her house was empty.

To make sure, Raka took out the spare key of the house she was carrying. He searched every corner of the house, looking for the whereabouts of the wife. Empty, Shanum really isn't home.

"Where is Shanum? Did he really go to Mamah's house?" Raka looked both annoyed and anxious. What if he complained to their parents about his behavior.

"No! It can't be destroyed!" Raka rushed out, locked back the door of their house and got into the car immediately.

She's going to her in-laws' house to look for Shanum's whereabouts. With uncertain feelings, restless also accompanied by fear, Raka drove on the streets that began to be crowded by people returning from work.

Raka's heart was pounding incoherently as the road to the in-law complex was already visible. Raka's car pulled over slowly as soon as it arrived in front of the gate of the mansion.

"Please, Den!" The gatekeeper who had recognized the family's son-in-law also invited Raka to enter the courtyard.

"Thank you, sir."

The friendly gatekeeper smiled as he nodded his head. Raka came out and met the middle-aged man who had already returned to his place.

"Sir, sorry. Is Shanum coming home?" raka asked because the gatekeeper knew his wife was coming.

"Given my non Shanum there's no coming home today, Den. Wh why? Is he not home?" asked the gatekeeper with a probing look.

Raka smiled awkwardly, he scratched his head that was not itchy because he was confused looking for answers.

"Don't stop by first, Den?" the gatekeeper's haul has come.

"Ah, no, sir. I hurriedly feared Shanum was waiting," said Raka as he got into the car and retreated out. He pressed the horn and passed quickly from the magnificent house.

"Is he going to Mamah's house? But what's it for?" Raka hit the steering wheel annoyed, lest his wife misunderstand again. If not, I don't know what's going on in the future.

His feelings were again agitated when he entered the housing complex where his parents lived. The gate of Lina's house was always open, Raka's car went into the courtyard and rushed down.

Unlike in Shanum's house, Raka's house has no gatekeeper. For that, he had to make sure of himself into the house. It's quiet, there's no sound inside.

"Where is everyone? Why so quiet?" Raka muttered as she only found silence inside her parents' house.

"Mom!" Raka called the most meritorious woman in her life.

"Yes, Mom's in the back!" lina shouted a little.

Raka immediately headed to the back of the house where the kitchen was. He only saw the mama who was tidying the dining table. There was no Shanum there, the woman was alone.

"Raka? You came by yourself is Shanum the same?" ask the mother as soon as she sees her son.

From the mama's question, he knew that Shanum wasn't there either. Raka's heart was agitated, thinking about Shanum's whereabouts.

"God! Howdy, daydream? Where's Mamah's son-in-law? You came with him, didn't you?" sentak Lina disperse Raka's daydream.

"Raka go first, Mah!" Without saying another word, Raka immediately turned around and left the house of the mama.

"Eh, Raka!" Lina's screams were ignored by the man.
