119. Surprised

Takeshi was surprised to see a large photo plastered on the wall near the dashboard of the bed in the room.

"about? How could he be here?" Takeshi said with sadness and shock in his heart.

"Geez I'm looking everywhere for you to be here? What are you doing in my brother's room?" ask Kyoto to Takeshi.

Takeshi's limp body was getting sluggish. When he heard that Akira was the older brother of Kyoto. Takeshi cried and continued to shake his head as if rejecting the reality before him. Takeshi stroked his extremely claustrophobic chest in shock at the reality that was now before him.

Kyoto who saw Takeshi collapsing on the floor immediately approached her worriedly.

" You why Takeshi? Are you sick?" kyoto asked as she held Takeshi's hand and tried to help her get up and sit Takeshi's body on the sofa in Akira's room.

"You why? Why is your face so pale? Are you sick?" kyoto asked as she examined Takeshi's forehead which felt extremely cold in her palm.

" Geez you are so cold!" kyoto said she was worried about Takeshi who was like a dazed person right now.

" Is it true that you're Akira's sister?" takeshi asked Kyoto with questioning eyes.

" Yes but Akira's brother died 5 years ago. What's wrong?" kyoto asked was confused by Takeshi's current facial expression which was so very complicated and he could not be stunned.

" died? What do you mean dead? Good Lord! It's impossible that he's dead!" takeshi said it was like he felt so shocked by the news he had heard from Kyoto about Akira.

" Yes my brother died 5 years ago of brain cancer" Kyoto told Takeshi.

" Brain cancer? Since when did he have the disease?" takeshi asked as he gripped Kyoto's hands tightly and looked at his face fixedly.

" About 1 year before he died. My brother was sentenced to brain cancer by a doctor. He fought for 1 year to cure his illness. But eventually God said something else and he died after surgery. For two days my brother was in a coma and was eventually pronounced dead by the team of doctors who handled my brother!" kyoto said with teary eyes.

Kyoto felt as if it was recalling their family's most difficult times. When faced with her brother's illness that is so severe and difficult to be accepted by their family.

" How could he have such a severe illness but not say anything to me?" takeshi said with tearful eyes.

Takeshi was really hit by his heart getting a reality that seemed to hit him mentally so that he suddenly felt dark and tight in his chest.

" Do you know my brother?" kyoto asked as if she was confused by Takeshi's current expression.

" He was my girlfriend when I was in college in Germany! He suddenly asked to break up from me when I intended to propose to him!" takeshi said as he scooped his face with both hands.

Takeshi is like remembering when the times when he was so bad. When Akira suddenly asks to end their relationship without stating a clear reason.

" Our relationship was fine and there was never any problem. All of a sudden one day, when I was already intending to propose to her. He asked us to end our relationship!" takeshi said in a loud voice.

" So you're the man my brother loves so much?" kyoto asked with a sharp look at Takeshi.

" Did your brother tell you about me?" takeshi asked as he held onto Kyoto's two hands and shook them violently as he impatiently wanted to hear an answer from her.

Takeshi stared at the room where so many of his photos were stored and displayed on the walls of the room.

Takeshi looked at the photos in the room one by one. At once his heart seemed to melt. When remembering his love story with Akira that is so beautiful and sweet but ended so tragically.

" Oh my God! Why are there so many pictures of you in this room? I rarely came to this Mansion and never entered my room. This mansion used to be occupied by my brother when he took care of my father's company in Indonesia. But after he became seriously ill, only then did he occupy the main residence together with my parents in Japan! And undergoing intensive care there." Kyoto recounts the true events of the life of an Akira.

Takeshi seems to be thrown into the bottom of an endless abyss when he gets all the facts about the woman he once loved so much.

"Why has he never told you about his illness? Does he know that I'm suffering so much because he just left me?" Takeshi said with tears in his eyes.

"Because my brother doesn't want to trouble you or force you to be with him just because his life is on the edge!" kyoto said as she gently stroked Takeshi's hand.

'Oh my God! What kind of fate is this? Before Akira died, he asked me to marry the man he loved. Why did I suddenly meet him? Is this indeed the message of your destiny God for me to be with him, to grant my brother's last wish before he dies?' inner Kyoto while continuing to stare intently at Takeshi who was still so fragile.

" Do you know? For over a year. I'm trying to find Akira. Seeking existence. Because I want an explanation from him. But he disappeared like he was swallowed by the earth." said Takeshi as he stared at the large photo plastered in front of him who was now smiling at him.

" I was so hurt when he just walked out of my life. I lost my direction and my purpose. I started going to the discos to the nightclub. For the sake of colonizing all night entertainment that can bury my heartache. Because Akira just left me!" takeshi tells of his dark life after being abandoned by Akira all of a sudden.

" Akira loves you too. Do you know what? After he left you, his heart was broken. His physical condition is getting weaker. And he was losing his life spirit to fight for life. Until finally he breathed his last breath full of sadness and longing for you. Iki - the first and last man she's ever loved in her entire life." Kyoto said sadly as she recounted Akira's last days before she died.

Takeshi tried to strengthen his heart he continued to look at photos of Akira when he had not suffered from cancer so beautiful and so charming.

" My brother doesn't want you to see him when he's dying. My brother doesn't want to hold you back just because he's sick. He does not want to be pitied by the man he loves. He wants to set you free to find a healthy woman who can also bring you happiness!" kyoto explained what she read in her sister's diary when she cleaned up her sister's belongings to donate to a foundation in need.

" Where did you find out about it?" takeshi asked as if he did not believe what Kyoto said.

Kyoto then moved from his seat and went to a nightstand beside the bed in the room.

" You read, in this book, tell me all about you!" Kyoto then handed the book to Takeshi.

Takeshi received the book with trembling hands and slowly opened it sheet by sheet.

" I'll take this book with me and read it later!" takeshi said as he looked at Kyoto, who is still watching him today.

" umu kyoto! Oh, takeshi! Where are you guys? Why didn't you come down from there?" suddenly, Mother Kyoto's voice instructed all the silence in the room.

" Let's go down lest both of our parents think of us!" kyoto said while using Takeshi to get up and out of her late brother's room.

" Are you able to keep secrets about me being with Akira to your parents?" takeshi asked as he looked at Kyoto with a pleading gaze.

" Don't worry I'm Takeshi. I won't tell you about your past with Brother Akira!" kyoto said softly while commenting on Takeshi's smile.
