Dear High School Girl Om Duda

Dear High School Girl Om Duda
FEARS

"Will you marry me, Friska Agustina?"

The one question that Gabriel asked really made Friska shocked and speechless. Friska even just found out about Gabriel's status, who turns out to be a widower, or they just met a few days ago, and suddenly Gabriel has asked Friska to be his wife so that Friska can stay at Gabriel's house and be financed by the widower's school!

It's like...

The dream!

"But Friska's still in school, Om!"

"Friska is not ready to get married either" Friska's great-grandson lowered her face.

"I won't touch you later if you're not ready, Fris!"

"This marriage is just so you can stay in my house and I can ensure your safety, as well as finance your school" Gabriel said earnestly.

"But I'm not forcing either. You can think about it first and weigh it again."

"It's all for your school, Fris! Wouldn't it be a pity if your school dropped out now." Gabriel continues again which really makes Friska a dilemma.

On one hand Friska still wants to continue school even though she gets scorn from her friends. But on the other hand Friska is not ready if she has to be a wife at the age of eighteen years.

"Why did Om suddenly spark the idea of marriage?" Friska asked at last who had been curious about Gabriel's intentions and goals. Friska thought that Gabriel had another reason because suddenly the widower wanted to invite Friska to marry instead of raising Friska as his son or sister.

"Yes, actually," Gabriel scratched his non-itchy head and Friska immediately frowned suspiciously.

"Actually I'm being charged with remarrying."

"Mother thinks I still haven't moved on after Hana-'s departure"

"Where is Om's wife's name?" Asked Friska to interrupt.

"Yes, Hana my wife and she died six years ago while giving birth to our second son." Gabriel's face has changed.

"Son Om survived?" Tanya Friska was getting curious.

"No" replied Gabriel.

"She went with her mom" Gabriel continued, laughing.

"I'm pregnant!" Hana said with happy sparkling eyes. The woman showed a testpack with two blue stripes to Gabriel who had just returned from out of town.

Just like Hana, Gabriel also immediately sparkled happily while staring at the testpack with the two blue lines.

"Queena will have a sister and the house will be more crowded" said Hana again.

"Yes!" Replied Gabriel who was so happy that he was no longer able to speak. The man immediately scooped Hana into his arms and did not stop kissing the wife's face.

Hana's pregnancy was good news for Ferdinand's entire family. But it was never imagined in Gabriel's mind that Hana's pregnancy would be problematic when entering the second trimester. Hana suddenly developed preeclampsia. Hana's blood pressure is constantly high and Gabriel's wife's condition is also always worrying.

Up to a month ahead of HPL, Hana suddenly had a high fever and seizures. Gabriel's wife was rushed to the hospital and the baby was forced to be born early to save Hana's life. But still the lives of Hana and Gabriel's son could not be saved. Hana breathed her last few hours post-surgery. While Gabriel's second son who was born prematurely finally could not survive and followed Hana for good.

"Of!" Friska's rebuke jolts Gabriel's re-remembrance of his late wife, Hana.

"Sorry," Gabriel wiped the clear grains in both of his eyes.

"I won't force you, Friska! You can think about it first," Gabriel had already risen to his feet and seemed to be about to leave.

"Friska will think about it first, Om!" Friska said as Gabriel stepped out of the door of her dorm room.

"Be careful to stay here and take care of yourself!" Message Gabriel again.

"Yes." Yeah." Friska answered briefly, which immediately made Gabriel thrust his phone at Friska.

Friska typed in her phone number quickly, then immediately returned Gabriel's phone to her owner.

"I sent a message. Please keep my number, and call me immediately if there's anything," Gabriel once again told Friska.

"Yes, Om! Thank you for coming and bringing food to Friska" Friska said, trying to smile.

"I go home first" said Gabriel, turning around and leaving Friska's boarding house. The sky had turned dark as Gabriel spurred on his car and left Friska's boarding house.

****

Midnight.

Friska woke up from her sleep when she heard the noise outside the room. The girl scooped up a bit of the only window curtain in the room to find out what was going on.

Just as Friska flicked through the curtains, a person whose face was battered smashed into Friska's bedroom windowpanes.

Huh!

Friska fell so shocked. The girl was already trembling when suddenly the door was knocked from outside. Looks like there's a drunk and fighting hostess outside.

"Open!" Shouted someone from outside the room.

Friska immediately locked her dorm room, and pushed the small table and plastic cupboard inside the room towards the door as an additional safety.

Friska next sat in the corner of the bed curled up and hugged her knees in fear.

"Open!"

"Open!"

Shouts and shouts continued to be heard from outside the room and Friska who was still trembling immediately grabbed her phone, calling a number of someone who since last night made Friska difficult to sleep.

"Hello, Fris!" The voice across the phone sounded hoarse like a new person waking up.

"Om, Friska's scared!" Friska said with a stammering voice and a trembling body.

"What's wrong? What the hell's going on? You where? Why is there a sound?"

"Friska's still in the kost. Some people get drunk and fight. And now they're banging on Friska's room." Report Friska who was increasingly trembling even though the screams from outside her room were no longer heard. But outside the room was still noisier and it seemed that the drunk was not just one person.

"I'm there now! You don't open the door until I come!"

"Yes, Om! Hurry along!" Friska replied that she was crying so scared. Friska had never been in a position like this before. The girl was really scared right now.
