Gabriel came to the office with a slightly lethargic face because he stayed up last night until two in the morning.

Gabriel really doesn't believe Kate is more childish than Friska because she brought personal problems to work and fired Gabriel for ridiculous reasons. But Kate does have power because she's the sole heir to the Steinberg Company. So Gabriel who was indeed only a subordinate could only accept fate.
