Episode 33

"Na, has the wound in your heart healed?" Iqbal asked as the two of them were sitting in the garden.

"Why are you asking like that?"

"If I may, allow me to heal the rest of the wounds that are in your heart.. You know, it's been a long time since I've harbored this feeling towards you. And today I ventured to reveal it in person" Iqbal said.

Nazwa stared silently at Iqbal for a moment, knowing the meaning of all the forms of attention Iqbal had lavished on him all along. But Nazwa did not want to respond any further because he was still attached to Ari, but this time Will Nazwa open his heart and give Iqbal a chance?

"I don't forbid you to like me, I know how you feel.. But I haven't been able to open my heart that fast, and about the wounds in my heart I don't want to burden you as my healer.. Wait a minute, if I'm ready then I'll come to you."

Nazwa spoke as he clasped Iqbal's hand and looked into his two eyes. Nazwa could see a sincerity from Iqbal's eyes.

"You don't have to worry, I'm willing to wait for you at any moment.. "

"Thank you very much, Bal.. But if in the process of waiting for me you meet a woman who is better than me, and you feel that by waiting for me too long then you can propose first.. I want you to also get the happiness you deserve!" Nazwa.

"And my happiness is you! I will find no other perfection than in you" Iqbal said.

After expressing his feelings suddenly Iqbal got a call from the hospital, Iya asked to come immediately because there was an emergency in the hospital.

While Ari was still talking to the police, the doctor who handled Widya came out and ordered several doctors to prepare the operating room. Ari does not know how severe Widya's condition is that it requires her to enter the operating room. Several doctors and nurses seemed busy, even as Ari tried to ask none of them answered.

"Is Widya badly injured?" Ari wondered to herself.

After some time waiting finally the doctor has finished surgery Widya. Ari immediately rushed to the doctor to inquire about his condition.

"What is my wife, Doc?" ask Ari.

"You have to give strength to your wife, damage to her motor nerves and spinal cord injuries will likely cause her to be paralyzed.. We have dealt with him and he has made it through his critical period, "the doctor explained.

"Crippled, Doc?" ask Ari again.

"Yes, Sir.."

The doctor patted Ari on the shoulder so that the man could be steadfast and provide support for his wife. Ari was sitting limp in the chair hearing Widya's current state.

Widya was immediately transferred to the inpatient room and can already be visited. Ari entered the room and saw Bella who was still unconscious, her face pale and helpless.

"What exactly made you end up like this?" ask Ari.

Widya had just opened her eyes, her head was heavy and dizzy but when she was about to wake up her body felt very painful and her legs were difficult to move. Widya did not give up, she kept trying to get up and move her body but the result still could not. Widya began to panic, she recalled the incident she had just experienced.

"Suster, I'm gonna sit down.. Why does my body hurt so much and my legs can't move?" ask Widya.

"Mom calm down, let me help you.."

The nurse helps Widya to sit up and lean on the bed, but the nurse does not dare to tell Widya her condition.

"I'll call the Doctor first, let the Doctor explain later," said the nurse then came out to call the doctor.

"Strong mother, at this time the mother is paralyzed due to injuries to the nerves of the legs and hips." said Doctor Widya.

For a second, Widya was silent about the sentence the Doctor had just said.

"No! This is impossible ! I don't want to be like this! The doctor... The doctor... Please give me back my leg, Doctor! I don't want it to be like this, give it back the way it was!" Widya screamed hysterically after waking up and crying to see how she was.

It feels hard to believe, Widya will really experience what Nazwa once occupied. Widya did not accept her condition..

Widya cried roars and beat her leg, the doctor and nurse treating her tried to calm her down. Shortly after, Ari went into Widya's treatment room and saw that things had gone awry.

"Widya, relax! There I am." said Ari.

"I'm paralyzed, Mom! I'm paralyzed! I don't want to sit in that fucking wheelchair.. I don't want to be like this!!" shouted Widya.

"I'm sorry, sir.we're going to inject a sedative into your wife, it looks like she's still in shock with her current state" said the doctor.

Widya starts to calm down after the injection, slowly her body goes back limp and Ari lays her back to bed. Seeing Widya's situation like that suddenly his memory returned when Nazwa used to experience the same thing. Seeing Widya's response when she found herself paralyzed, Ari imagined how Nazwa had to accept the fact that he was paralyzed and lost their future child.

Ari really felt like a bastard who just left Nazwa, and without thinking about Nazwa he blamed him.

"Na, yesterday I got an emergency patient.. He had an accident and now his leg is paralyzed. But I think he deserves it!" Iqbal.

"Eh tumben you are not sympathetic to the state of the patient.. Why is it with that patient until you say he deserves a disaster like that?" nazwa asked in wonder.

"He is Widya. Actually I didn't want to help handle it yesterday, but since there's no other doctor so I'm forced to help."

"Awhile, Widya...? You mean Widya's accident?" nazwa asked and was answered with a nod of the head by Iqbal.

"His condition is quite severe, but considering the treatment he used to have with you... I don't sympathize with her condition.."

"So soon God will answer.. Hopefully he can take a lesson from this incident, " Nazwa said.

"It seems not, yesterday people said he went berserk when he found out he was paralyzed. People like Widya will never be able to take reality for granted, surely she will blame fate for her present condition" Iqbal said.
