When we hear the word adultery the first thing that must be thought of by us is sexual acts committed by men and women who have not been bound by the bonds of marriage. But actually what is meant by zina is all the actions that we do and contain the element of zina.

Then what are the actions that enter into the various types of adultery? A hadith from Abu Hurairah r.a that Rasullullah SAW has said which means:

“both eyes can do adultery, both hands can (can) do zina, both feet it(can) do zina. And all of it will be allowed or denied by genitals”.(The sahih hadith is narrated by Imam Bukhari and Ibn Muslim of Ibn Abbas and Abu Hurayrah). And

“Every child of Adam has a part of adultery, so both his eyes are adulterous, and his zina is through sight, and his two hands are adulterous, his zina is touching. Both feet for adultery, his zina is stepping-up toward adultery. Adultery mouth, its zina is kissing.heart with desire and fervor. And *********** is what justifies or annoys it.” (Hadis riwayah Bukhari)

SUMMARY OF THE LECTURE ON ISLAM: ITS NAME IS ZINA

The path to heaven and the path to hell have all been explained by Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala through His words and through his messengers.

Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala said:

وَهَدَيْنَاهُ النَّجْدَيْنِ

“And We have shown him two ways.” (QS Al-Balad [90]: 10)

Allah Ta’ala also explained that the road to heaven is filled with fighting against passions, against things loved by humans. While the road to hell is filled with orgasm, pleasure, foya-foya, and others included in it is adultery.

Zina is one of the great sins that is very despicable, blameless, and dirty. And adultery is strictly forbidden by Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala.

The scholars explain that adultery can damage the heart and weaken one's monotheism to God. Therefore, the one who committed the most adultery was the one who committed the most shirk. Whenever the idleness in a servant is greater, the ugliness and uncleanness in him is greater. And every time a great servant sincerely, he will be further from the act of adultery.
