There is a case written about the embezzlement of clinic funds carried out by one of the doctors and nurses deliberately.
The doctor and nurse were also detained for keeping a serious case secret in which one of the patients deliberately swapped their sick baby for someone else's.
Although they did not interfere in the exchange, but knowing and keeping secret for the sake of the clinic's good name was still a mistake. And now Marco slowly knows what the Hero has been thinking all along.
“So you mean, there's a chance that Anna's parents are the transactors of the baby? The patients who deliberately swapped their sickly babies were them? And my parents could have been victims who had taken care of their babies. That's ‘kan you mean, Her?”
The question he asked with a daze. Marco doesn't seem to be tracking the earth right now.
The hero nodded steadily once again.
“True Sir! But all that was just a conjecture .. everything will be proven one more week after the DNA results of Anna and Mr Fernando out. If the result is 99% match, that means Anna is your younger sibling. But if the result does not match, it means—”
“Enough!” Marco was screaming hysterically. He hugged Vanya tightly. His teeth tightened with two great clenched hands.
“Did you hear it was Van? My sister is alive ... He's alive!”
Vanya's heart seemed to be slashed to hear Marco's cry that was so broken. But that's still a guess. They need one more piece of evidence to make things clear.
“I investigated this case long enough, Sir. It took more than a year to investigate the facts for the sake of facts,”, Hero explained.
Marco was still crying in Vanya's arms. He was like a helpless child right now.
“So I beg ... Please keep this matter a secret from Mrs Maria and Mr Fernando until everything is revealed. I don't want to burden their feelings. So did you, I originally kept this a secret because I didn't want to destroy your expectations. Before everything proves to be true I still want to keep it first. Again forgive me.”
Hero is down after.
While stroking Marco's back head, Vanya began to speak in place of the husband who might have run out of words.
“All this is truly God's confusing destiny. If their DNA results match, it means Mami and Papi have adopted their own biological children all this time.”
“It's likely like that, Miss.”
“Hopefully the DNA results match,” Vanya said while nodding.
"But what about Anna's parents? They don't know the investigation, do they?"
“No Miss. All this time my man was very careful. Before everything is clear I will not give any demands to them.”
“Good, hopefully Anna is really Marco's real sister.”
“Enough!” Suddenly Marco shouted back.
Making Hero and Vanya stunned from their respective assumptions.
“Can you stop this conversation? What if their DNA results don't match. That means Veronika is still alive and I don't know where she is!”
Everything went silent immediately. Hero and Vanya know what Marco is worried about right now.
“You better get out first, Her. Looks like Marco is still in shock and can not be spoken to healthy.”
Vanya chased away the Hero by moving her hands, the man nodded then moved.
But, just as the Hero turned around, he was already startled by something even more shocking.
“Anna ...?”
The girl did not fulfill her promise to the hero. Anna eavesdropped and listened to all their talk from start to finish.
Marco immediately gasped as soon as he heard Anna's name called.
The girl not only peeked, but she ventured to open the door and went inside.
With a stern look, Anna said to Marco.
“If I wasn't Veronika, would Big Brother just dump me?”
Marco fell silent. His lips felt stiff and stiff.
Hero immediately hugs Anna and invites her out, but the girl holds back from staying.
“My answer, Brother? If I wasn't Veronika, would Big Brother just dump me?” ask the girl a second time.
Somehow Anna was so jealous to hear Marco mention Veronika so many times.
This was his first time hearing about Veronika. And he saw the brother who had loved him all this time seemed to only care about Veronika.
Even from beginning to end Marco only discussed Veronika again and again. Without a hint of sympathy for Anna's fate it is unclear who her biological parents are.
Hero continues to hug while forcing Anna out of the room. “We'd better get out first, An. The time is not right to argue.”
“No Brother! I just want to hear a confession from my brother who said he loved me so much all this time. Does she still care about me if I'm not Veronika?” the girl told the brother.
Marco could not answer as if his life was at a crossroads.
