Shaikh Muhyiddin Ibn Arabi ngendiko (advice):

("meaning in Indonesian: “Cannot be expected to get the dignity of al-wusul (ma’rifat) to Allah, one who does not follow Kanjeng Nabi, then the person will move from one impossibility to another impossibility.”).

"That quote from Hikam Shaikh Muhyiddin Ibn Arabi, Sahibu Fusushil Hikam. His book was titled Nushusul Hikam al-Akbariyah. This Hikam is narrated by Sheikh Mula Hasan bin Musa bin ` Abdullah al-Kurdi al-Qadiri al-Shafi`i (w.1148 H.) under the title Sharhu Hikami al-Shaikh al-Akbar.

What al-wusul means is ma’rifat to Allah with Allah. People who ma’rifat, according to his lecturers are distinguished into several types: 1) people who arrive at the yaqin shauq (deliciousness in dhauq (deliciousness in dhikr-ibadah) and wujdan (deep love for Allah); 2) the one who experiences mortality in His Aph`al God, and sees no deeds other than God's Ap`al; 3) the one who finds it by the way of His Asma’ God, and, and see no names other than the name of Allah .. (Al-Allamah Mula Hasan ibn Musa al-Kurdi, al-Qadiri, Sharah Hikam al-Shaikhil Akbar, p. 109).

Those who believe in Allah with Allah are called to experience prayer, which is a type of faith. Mushahadah, is the loss of inner barriers that can essentially accept al-Haqq. The truth is the vision of al-Bahiah bil, or the honest vision of Shaykh (al-Haqq) in his description of al-Haqq. While mukashafah to mention other than shuhud to Allah, so it could be revealed bi’i training on Nur Muhammad, angels, nafs, jinns, and others.

What wusul means as ma’rifat earlier, does not mean al-bulugh wal ittisal, it does not mean until the person to God dhatnya. Not these. For Allah is holy from the point of reaching something or its value. So what is meant by al-wusul as ma’rifat is ma’rifat bil-qalbi.
