Chapter 3

Several people went forward to gather their respective work onto Master's desk because it was time. Some others had gathered even before the time. Of course it was done by smart kids.

Altaf was busy writing the answers in his book. Whether right or wrong, he is seen writing with a fairly fast movement due to the rush because time has passed.

"If you don't bring it now, then Mr. Teacher won't accept it anymore." The voice came from the side, who else if not the adjunct commemorating.

Altaf seemed troubled from the beginning of work, his brain was empty and only contained games. His mind was always traveling everywhere until it was unfocused as Master explained. This is how it became.

Finished, he brought his work to Master for examination. "Tell two minutes," said Mr. Wiwin flatly. "Sorry, Sir!" Altaf looked down, showing his guilt.

Mr. Wiwin breathed a rough look at the work of this one child. Unfortunately, he drew a large circle on Altaf's work. He showed that value to the owner, then raised it. "This is the highest grade in this class" he exclaimed loudly.

The entire class was filled with commotion due to the loud sound of laughter. Surely the candidates for the Head of class did not participate in this, so Laya told Resal to stop laughing at the value.

Altaf is still down. He may be embarrassed by being laughed at by some people in class. His hands clenched at his sides, he must have been annoyed at being humiliated like this. That was what Yara thought when she only looked at the back of the man. "Pity," he murmured.

Jahan stood up from his seat. "Everyone, please calm down! Don't laugh at people like that. Imagine if you were in his position, you would be embarrassed, he was too. So, let's …."

"Oh my God, please help me!" batin Altaf in the middle of the speech of the candidate of the class. Both of his hands were squeezing the blue-gray School trousers he was wearing. He can't take it anymore.

Ting! Ting! Ting!

Altaf ran out of the classroom quickly after the bell rang. Everyone stared at the wonder of Altaf's running back, where was he going?

Altaf came down the stairs in a hurry and ran quickly to the bathroom while holding BAB. Apparently he wanted to go to the toilet.

***

The bell went off. Altaf goes to his sister's class to take her home together. While in class, she did not see her sister there. But she saw her sister's female friends who constantly looked at her with unusual gazes. Altaf thought, they might like it.

"Eh, you know who I'm going home with?" altaf asked his sister's close friend.

"No idea, brother. I took her home together but she didn't want to. He said he wanted to go home by himself." After saying that, he left.

"Jude, if that's what he wants." Altaf went home alone. It is usually like that, but sometimes also go home with Brother.

"Altaf!" In the middle of the road, there was suddenly someone calling out to him from behind. That's Yara. Altaf turned his head and found Yara had been behind him. He's a little surprised. "Eh, are you a ghost or a human?"

Yara didn't care what he said. "Now!" He gave a candy to the handsome boy. "Lo think I'm a kid?" Altaf took it despite not being interested as he saw Yara's face staring flatly at him.

"Gue pity to see you humiliated earlier in front of the class, it made you," said Yara, then walked away from Altaf. Altaf put the candy in his mouth after it was opened.

Altaf breathed a sigh of resignation, took back his candy parcel and threw it into another bin. There he saw two small children in tattered clothes beside a garbage can writing something using a broken pen that they might be able to get on the street.

Just a scribble, that's what the two boys wrote on the red-coated tome. Altaf stuffed his candy parcels into the trash. He opened his bag and took out two pens and an empty book inside.

"This is for you guys." Altaf passed it on to the two children, the boys finally picked it up despite a bit of hesitation at the beginning. They stood up and thanked him, then ran away somewhere.

Altaf is happy to help others. He was also happy because despite being born into an ordinary family, he was able to get a decent education like everyone else.

Srak!

What's that noise? It comes from a book that the kids scribbled on. Altaf. "Wind blows?" He approached the book, crouched down and touched it briefly with his index finger. He felt that there was no strong wind passing by.

Altaf opened the book, on the first page something was written. "Answitched?" He opened the next page, empty. He opened it again sheet by sheet, and there was nothing there. He picked up the book, then checked all the pages. The book was empty, without any scribbles.

The book was dirty, there was a shoe on the cover. There are also some broken pages. There's no way those kids did it, right? They looked happy when they could write in this book even though it was just a doodle.

"The book is weird!"

There are no horizontal lines like a typical notebook, nor does it contain anything other than 'answerable.' The color of the paper is not white, but rather yellowish.

"It's not a notebook, it's not a storybook, is it a diary?" Altaf sighed. "But why is there 'answered' on the first page?" Altaf seemed frustrated thinking about this book. Who created such a strange book?

"There's nothing to look for, is there?" Altaf looked around, everyone there was busy with their own activities. So, surely this book is no longer the owner because it has been thrown into the trash.

"This book now has me. I don't know what the point is, but I'm curious" he muttered as he put the book in his bag. He got up from his seat, then walked in a slightly annoying but cool style. "Gue will throw this away if my curiosity has been treated," he said lightly.

By the way, since when did Altaf's curiosity start to grow? Usually, children in class XII-1 are rarely curious unless it is important. If only Yara had been in her position, it would have been abandoned earlier.

Altaf put his bag carelessly on the floor and immediately threw himself on his bedroom bed while exhaling fatigue from having walked so far. After resting for a few minutes, he woke up to look back at the book.

Altaf took his book from the bag and placed it on his study table while sitting down. He stared at the book seriously and slowly opened it.

"You are the owner of this book now. Say 'update the book' so that the book can update." This made Altaf almost faint from shock. In fact, the chair he was sitting on was slumped backwards. He pioneered in pain because his head hit the floor.

"This book .. can we talk?"

...Seriate.......
