Anna's Guess

"Sorry! Anna can only get Mom here" said Anna as they parted ways with Ms. Lydia.

"It's okay, kid! You can do it yourself, no need to worry. And don't forget you have to go to Jakarta for your wedding reception. I'll be putting together the show from now on" said Anna's second Ms. Lydia.

Abbas smiled and responded.

Their conversation could not last long. Because the call for the Surabaya - Jakarta route has been announced.

Anna waved at Ms. Lydia as the old woman walked inside the boarding gate.

I saw the plane that his mother was taking off. Abbas and Anna rushed to the hospital. They got good news. Papa Reno was let home this morning.

"Patience... Maybe your husband is doing a lot of work right now. Don't be so ah, you should support your husband. Don't even complain." Mama Ami.

Anna let out a slow breath. He confirmed his mother's speech.

A nurse approached them shortly. Carrying a bag of medicine and Papa Reno's lab record file.

Abbas smiled and responded.

"Well, can Anna help you push?" Papa Reno nodded with a smile looking at Anna's pouting face.

Anna walked first while pushing the wheelchair.

Mama Ami and Abbas walked behind him.

"I'm sorry about Anna's attitude, yes, son Abbas! Sometimes he likes to act like a child. Anna will frown like that if she feels neglected" said Mama Ami gave understanding to Abbas.

"Yes, Mah! I understand ko. I was also wrong, from yesterday very much work especially my time in Surabaya only two days left. Jobs in Jakarta are waiting" he said.

They got into the elevator. Anna pressed the button one for their purpose.

Ting...

the elevator opened, they continued their steps towards the lobby.

"Mama hope you can be patient and establish Anna to be a Muslim and a good wife for you and your children. My mom was so happy to see the change in me. Anna is more mature in her problems." Mama Ami keeps talking about Anna.

Abbas said he wanted to pick up the car in the parking lot. Abbas returned shortly

The handsome man who is now Anna's husband helps Papa Reno get into the car.

Anna and Mama Ami also came in.

The car drove away from the hospital.

Throughout the journey Anna was silent.

Mama Ami and Papa Reno had a lot of conversations with Abbas.

Until Anna regained consciousness, she felt that there was something strange about the path they were on. The car they were riding in was not towards the shophouse where they lived.

Anna turned to Abbas who was still indifferent to her. Her husband laughed crisply in response to a flirtation from his father-in-law Papa Reno.

Anna looked at Mama and her Papa as if they were still unaware of the path they were walking on at the moment.

Anna's face immediately turned happy. A radiance of happiness implied on his face. He smiled at Abbas. It looks like Anna can already guess what Abbas will do after this.
