Karin arrives at the parking lot of Star magazine's office. He parked his car under a tree. Karin deliberately chose to come early, she preferred so to look at the situation and often to weigh the intelligence of her opponent.
Karin opened the car door and locked it, then walked closer to the main door of the office. One of the security greeted him, then heard Karin's answer he showed the floor building where the interview was held. And suddenly Karin felt that someone was calling her name.
" Karin, hey.. Karina Maharani" said the voice.
Deg. Karin's heart is beating faster. It can't be that fast as he met that Boss right?! The sound is getting closer. From where Karin stood and looked down near the lobby, there was a stylish running shoe and jeans.
Carefully Karin looked up, looking at the owner of the voice. Deg deg. It's getting worse because of his heartbeat. Billyl.
" Hi. emmm.. mas Billy, isn't it?", making sure people fear wrong.
Billy, Karin's high school senior. When Karin was in 1st grade Billy was in 3rd grade. The guy is friendly, funny, and pretty handsome. Not at the level of William's rival, it's just that his jovial and humorous nature adds to the appeal of a Billy. Something happened between them.
" right. It's me, Billy. It's so nice to see you again. Karin, you're so much more beautiful", holding out an empty hand. Her other hand was full of boxes of coffee and snacks.
" Eh, yes. Thanks mas. Working here? How long has it been?"
" Yep, I'm pretty old here, hahaha.. Hey, by the way are you here for an interview?" they talk while walking.
" yes. Are there any tips for beginners?"
" Hahahaha, Karin, you're still as funny as ever. Hmmmm. I guess, you need me to give you tips. Hey, wait a minute, if there's no one interview schedule, it's 9 o'clock. It's only 8 past 25. There's still plenty of time. Have you had breakfast? I can take you to the office cafeteria. We haven't climbed yet."
Billy smiled. Typical Billy. Her thin pink lips were too conspicuous on her pale white face.
" I had breakfast and was bored at home so I came early." Karin lied.
" Thank you so much, no need to bother. I want to see the situation and my competitors first. I'm sure all the workers here are super busy." While glancing at Billy, afraid that next to him is offended because Billy looks very relaxed from his appearance.
Was he worth less here until he bought a box of coffee and from what he said, senior?
" Just calm down. I have a reason why I accompanied you there."
" Oya?" more curious what exactly Billy's position.
" Of course you are. How could I possibly leave a beautiful woman alone while waiting?" Oh... Karin is speechless.
Billy wasn't a playboy, at least when they knew him. But does he seem to have changed a lot? They were already inside the elevator and almost reached the fourth floor of the building.
" Take right and then left, there's a waiting room for the interviewer." Billy pointed at the place in question while holding the elevator door shut.
" Thank you very much. Pray for me." Karin smiled at Billy. Billy smiled back and went up one floor.
Karin walks down the building and arrives at the spot Billy was pointing at. He chose to sit by the window in the middle of the room. While still looking around he only realized that he had not mentioned William. Damnit. He completely forgot! Karin forgot something very important for the interview later.
Does William often come for a trivial interview with one of his subsidiaries? Will the executors be fierce? Usually who has the authority to interview prospective new employees?
While Karin was still struggling with her thoughts, her competitors began to arrive. Some carry A3-size paper rolls, some carry even larger ones, some carry sketchbooks, and others.
Karin gawked, is this serious? Is it as serious as that until for the interview they need to carry the tools of war so? Hasn't this office been provided? Why bring all that? Not finished because of the thought of his carelessness earlier when meeting Billy, Karin began to panic with new thoughts. At this moment he remembered Billy and wished the man had come to his aid.
