Mentari Without Light
First day as wife

"Wake up" whispered Mentari in Aris' ear made Aris bend his body and open his eyes slowly.

It's Mentari's first day as a wife and daughter-in-law at her in-laws' house so she should be able to please her in-laws.

"Darling, why are you awake?" ask Aris

"It's not good for mom and Inayah if I wake up bad luck" replied Mentari

"You don't work?"

"Tomorrow, baby, you're still tired"

"Mandi used to keep mas breakfast, I've fried rice cooking for mas"

Aris did not wake up but instead pulled Mentari's hand until his wife's body was in his arms.

"Mas...remove!! I still have to clean up the house first mas"

"Tok..tok...tok.." the knock on the door made Aris let go of her embrace on Mentari.

The mentari immediately stood up and opened the door of their room.

"Daddy, why Na?" ask the gentle Mentari

"Mbak please iron in clothes I dong, I want to go out with my friends in a moment" said Inayah throwing one of his clothes on Mentari

"His ironing is where Na is?" ask Mentari who does not know where it is located

"Why baby?" ask Aris

"Dad asked for ironing his clothes mas" replied Mentari

"Where is he going?"

Aris immediately rose from her sleep.

Aris no longer has a father, his father died four years ago due to cancer, Aris father a civil servant, Aris,so Aris' mother still receives a pension even though it is not much because Aris' father is only a school servant.
