The next morning Lies, Jaya and Ajo left for the ship that was still leaning in Batu Berlian Surabaya port, Lies was very happy because this time he was going to sail.
Arriving on the ship, Lies went straight to the ship's bridge to face the captain with in between by Jaya.
"Good morning capt!" sapa Jaya and Lies together.
"Morning," the captain replied as he looked towards Lies.
"Begging the capt permission, I'm Lisya Ramadani, I'm a technical cadet, I want to ask for permission to become a cadet on this ship." Lies said he ventured to ask the captain for permission.
"Oh you're Jaya's junior?" ask captain.
"Metul capt." replied Lies.
"Iya Jaya has talked about it with me and KKM, you I allow to be a cadet here but can not be long like a regular cadet, at least two or three months because the company does not allow any female cadets on the ship so please use your time to learn best, KKM happened to be in his room, please meet him!" the Captain directed.
"Well, thank you, I have permission to meet KKM." Lies said goodbye.
"Yes please." Answer captain.
Lies and Jaya get off the bridge to the KKM room.
In front of the KKM room they cross paths with driver one, Jaya immediately introduced it.
"It just so happens that the bus meets here, Lies knows this is bus Roy driver one! bus, this is the cadet I told you about yesterday." Jaya.
"For the bus, I'm Lisya Ramadani, from today I am a cadet of machines here, please guide him!" said Lies.
"In the morning, relax, we'll learn together!" answer the driver one while grinning.
"Have you met KKM yet?" ask the bus one.
"Not yet this bus just want to knock on his room." Answer Lies.
"KKM isn't in the room, he's eating at the balloons." The word bas one tells.
"It's good to go to the salon aja KKM, all breakfast too, soon OHN (One Hour Notice)." Jaya.
"Thank you bus, I said I wanted to meet KKM first" said Lies.
"Oh yes please det." Answer the bus one.
Lies and Jaya walk to the salon.
At the KKM salon had finished eating, he was watching tv, in addition to KKM there were three drivers, three nauseaim and one nauseaim was eating.
Jaya enters the salon first, saying, "goodbye!" followed by Lies behind him.
"Lies you introduce yourself first, it's KKM, it's Machinist three, it's nauseaim one and nauseaim three." Jaya said while sitting in the chair where she ate and turned over the plate that the waiter had prepared.
"Bus, tet (third oficcer), chief!" Sapa Lies's.
"Morning!" Answer the KKM and others simultaneously and look towards Lies.
"Include me Lisya Ramadani, machine cadet, please further bus instructions." Lies said, who was tired of introducing himself every time he met the crew, but it was his duty as a new cadet to introduce himself because he needed knowledge on this ship.
"Oh you're the machine cadet, huh? because it is still morning you better eat first, then change clothes and continue to prepare OHN, coincidentally bus two which is now guarding the port, then take care of the sea 12 - 4 the same bus two!" Kkm.
"Ready bus." Answer Lies briefly.
"Oh yeah, you eat it in the officer's salon, not in the ABK salon, the waiter will prepare the place." KKM again.
"Good bus thank you." Answer Lies.
"Ded, please prepare a place for cadets, from now on he eats them here!" KKM orders to the server.
"Good bus." The waiter answered while nodding his head.
Lies also ate with Jaya, bus three, tet and chief.
Finish eating Lies directly change work clothes and immediately leave to Jaya to go to the engine room.
"Ken (second officer) I permit to the engine room first"
"Do you know the way?" ask Jaya.
"Already ken, was appointed bus three." Answer Lies.
"Oh, be careful, bismillah! I think Ajo is also in the engine room, because he was immediately guarding the port." Jaya reminded me.
"Whoever ken, thank you for saying goodbye." Lies replied as she directly went towards the stairs down to the engine room.
**The captain (captain) is the leader of the ship/who holds the highest command on board.
**On board consists of several departments namely deck department, engine department, stewart department and other departments.
The crew of a ship or Subsidiary of Ships (ABK) consists of officers and ratings (not officers).
Each sailor or crew who is working on board either officers or rating has a certain position with their respective duties and responsibilities for the smooth operation of the ship.
The main responsibility lies in the hands of the captain as the shipping leader.
Deck department
The deck crew for a ship generally includes:
Skipper/Master/Captain is the leader and the person in charge of shipping
Mualim I/Chief Officer/Chief Mate is in charge of cargo control, freshwater supply and navigation directional control
Mualim 2/Second Officer/Second Mate is in charge of making the lane/route of the cruise map to be done and navigation directional regulator.
Mualim 3/Third Officer/Third Mate serves as a regulator, inspect, maintain all ship safety equipment and also serves as a navigational direction regulator.
Markonis/Radio Officer/Spark serves as a radio/communication operator and is responsible for maintaining the safety of the ship from the dangers both those arising from nature such as storms, sinking ships, and others.
Attack, bosun or boatswain (Head of work subordinates)
Able Bodied Seaman (AB) or Jurumudi
Ordinary Seaman (OS) or Kelasi or Sailor
Pumpman or Pumpman, especially tankers (fluid carriers)
Machinery department
KKM (Head of Engine Room)/Chief Engineer, leader and responsible for all the engines on board be it the mother machine, auxiliary engine, pump engine, crane engine, lifeboat engine, steering engine, steering engine, freezer machine, etc.
The 1/Second Engineer is in charge of the main engine
The 2/Third Engineer is responsible for all auxiliary engines.
The 3/Fourth Engineer is responsible for all the pump engines.
The Electrician/Electrician is responsible for all engines that use electric power and all spare power.

The cook/chef is responsible for all food, be it cooking, food menu arrangements, and food supplies.
The waiter/Mess boy is in charge of helping the cook
Sea guard schedule
Every sailor performs the watch service while the ship is on a voyage at sea. Deck officers ranging from mulaim I to mualim III perform guard services with the helmsman on each bridge for 4 hours before the guarding application with other officers.
Mualim I sea guard service every hour 4 s/d 8.
Mualim III sea guard service every hour 8 s/d 12.
Mualim II sea guard service every hour 12 s/d 4.
Likewise, the engine officer, machinist I to machinist III in charge of guarding control of the main engine in the engine room or from the control room.
Engineer I sea guard service every hour 4 s/d 8.
Engineer III sea guard service every hour 8 s/d 12.
Engineer II sea guard service every hour 12 s/d 4.
- OHN or one hour notice is a circular written notification of ship preparation before leaving, before arriving at the dock or anchored area.**
