In-laws Vs Son-in-law

In-laws Vs Son-in-law
Chapter 2

According to Kris' wishes, Kania decides to meet the mother of her lover. His heart pounded strongly, as soon as it arrived in front of the restaurant that had been reserved by the lover.

"Why? Nervous?" kris asked when he opened the car door for her.

"Slightly," answered Kania.

Kris smiled and took Kania out. He held the hand of the sweaty lover. Kris realized, there was a lot of worry in Kania. Moreover, the lover feels insecure.

Kania is not a famous artist. He also has no family, no property, even, the management that houses him is relatively small. There was nothing Kania could be proud of other than her beautiful face.

"Don't feel inferior. Mama won't look at the material." Chris tried to convince the lover.

Kania nodded her head in understanding. They also headed for the VIP room on the second floor. The sliding door opened, revealing a middle-aged woman with a socialite look. Beautiful, graceful, and charming.

Seeing that, Kania grew even less confident. All the confidence he had built up from home was gone. Now, the girl could only bow her head.

Kris lifted Kania's chin. Ask the girl not to worry. Kania understood with Kris's gaze. He tried to awaken that confidence again.

You can do it, Kania! he murmured in the heart.

The couple sat in front of Mrs Tama. The middle-aged woman that Kania had feared was smiling warmly. Instantly, Kania's perception changed about him.

Jesus, it turns out that the saying 'don't judge a book by its cover' is true. I'm being embarrassed. Kania's face flushed. The girl held back a smile by biting her lips.

Kania kissed the hand of her lover's mother. Madam Tama still smiled amiably. Then, Kania returned to her stool.

"So, you're Kania?" asked Madam Tama in a soft-sounding tone of voice.

Therefore, Kania began to feel relaxed facing the mother of the lover. "Yes, Auntie" replied the girl.

"Pretty. You managed to conquer the heart of my son," said Mrs Tama full of emphasis.

"Thank you for the compliment." To Kania, Mrs Tama's speech sounded like a compliment.

Before long, the waiter came in and served the food that had been pre-ordered by Mrs Tama. While eating, the mother of his lover began to question many things.

Kania answered as is. Starting from his family status, to the work he is currently living. Nothing has changed from the look on Mrs Tama's face. However, Kania's little heart felt that there was something strange about the smile from the lover's mother.

Is this just my feeling? Why does Kris's smile look different? murmuring Kania in the heart. Kania also dissolved in his own mind.

"Ah, since I have a meeting, I'll excuse you first, yes," said Mrs Tama after finishing her meal. "Kris, don't forget to get between Kania safely" the mother added.

Madam Tama patted the gentle son's shoulder. Kris was happy too. After that, Madam Tama disappeared from the room. Kania hasn't even noticed.

"Why bengong?" kris asked after the door closed.

"Son, kok," elak Kania who just regained consciousness from his daydream. He smiled at his lover. Maybe it was just my fear. Hopefully, please Kania.

Deep down, the girl felt that Madam Tama would not be able to accept her. However, the woman pretended in front of the son. Kania did not tell her lover. He did not want to make Kris and his mother quarrel just because of the uncertain thing.

Kania has just finished filming. He changed his clothes in the dressing room. Ringing the phone, making him immediately use the T-shirt he had prepared.

"Hello," said Kania as soon as the call was connected.

"Can we meet."

"Not to get along with me! You can call me that, just in front of Kris! Understood!"

"Sorry, Madam," replied Kania.

"Find me, where I'll send you. Don't tell Kris!"

The call was unilaterally interrupted. Kania breathed a tired sigh. Apparently, what he felt was right. From the tone of Mrs Tama's speech, it was certain that the woman did not approve of their relationship.

In the midst of his turmoil, a message came in. Kania immediately read the message. He stared at the watch that was wrapped around his arm.

"I have to go now." Kania left the dressing room immediately.

In the car, Dirga the manager was waiting for him. However, Kania does not want Dirga to take her home. The girl said, if he had any other business.

"Lo sure, don't I need to?" ask Dirga.

"No need, Mas. It's a woman's problem" Kania whispered to Dirga.

"I'm not ordinary!" Dirga chuckled at Kania's reasoning.

The man did not force anymore, when he saw Kania smiling as usual. He is sure, the artist he handled will not create problems that might destroy his image.

Kania immediately headed to the room in the incoming message earlier. There, Kris' mother was waiting for him. With an elegant style, the woman looked down at Kania.

"Sit down!" the Order of Mrs Tama.

The girl also obeyed Mrs Tama. Now, they're facing each other. Kania squeezed out her hand that was under the table. Trying to get negative thoughts out of his brain.

"You know why I asked you to come?" ask Madam Tama without further ado.

Seeing that Kania did not answer, Madam Tama took her bag. He pulled out a checkbook from there. Then write something on it.

"This is what you want?" Mrs Tama held out the check.

Kania glanced at the contents written there. There is no nominal. Doesn't that mean Kania is allowed to ask for whatever she wants?

"You, want me to leave Kris?" ask Kania. It was already quite understanding of what this woman in front of him wanted.

As it turns out, events like this do not just happen in the world of soap operas, Kania thought.

"Fright! Leave my son! You don't deserve him!" Madam Tama stared nyalang at Kania.

Kania took a deep breath, then pushed the check on Mrs Tama. The woman who was the mother of her lover frowned.

"I'm sure Kris would be disappointed if he knew this." Kania paused her saying, "Because according to her, you are a mother who prioritizes the happiness of her child," continued Kania.

"You don't have to tell Kris. Just leave him quietly." Madam Tama crossed her arms, looking down at Kania.

"Unfortunately, my love for Kris cannot, you, value with money. Excuse me." Kania stood up and left the room.

Madam Tama tightened her jaw to hear Kania's reply. "If you stay married to Kris, I'll make you suffer for the rest of your life! Just look at it later!"
