After failing to get into the restaurant, Vanya left the place. The girl was completely aware of her current state. "I'm not Vanya Anindira, my name is Yuki." The girl wiped away the trace of her tears.
At around 7pm, Vanya returned to the mosque where she was staying, the girl breaking her fast on the side of the road, with provisions given by the wife of Mr. Darman, a middle-aged man who guards the mosque.
Vanya decided to go back to look for work tomorrow morning. The offer about staying at Mr. Darman's house, the girl refused, when they met again at the mosque.
Tonight Vanya is well aware that one is valued for seeing his office or property. "Yuki, your name is now Yuki, not Vanya Pradipta's daughter anymore." The girl started sobbing while curled up on the carpet.
The night was getting late and quieter, Vanya could finally close her eyes after her crying began to subside and drowsiness had already ambushed her.
The next day Vanya went back to find work and the same thing he got from Mr. Darman's wife, namely, breakfast and today plus with his lunch.
Vany was very grateful, even though the man's wife never showed herself, but was so considerate.
The day keeps changing already one week Vanya is in the city of Bandung, but he still has not got a job as well. Tired indeed he felt, even though the ten ribu money was still durable, because he got free rations.
However, this morning Vanya felt his body weak and his body feverish. "Don't hurt dong, Yuki. You must be strong." The girl muttered as she moved from her sleep, but her body was so limp, her head was also dizzy. Eventually the girl collapsed again.
During that day, Vanya just lay in her place hugging her cold body, no one cared about her. Vanya continued to fall asleep there, whether the girl slept or fainted, because all day had not been getting food.
Without Vanya knowing it turned out that Mr. Darman was looking for him, to give his food rations, but the man did not find it.
"Maybe Neng Yukinya has departed from dawn, ma'am" the man told his wife, who is attending the mosque tonight.
"Don't let go, sir. Once our son wants to be with him, if married maybe Bayu will not get drunk again." Mr. Darman's wife replied and hoped for a lot.
"Yes, yes, he can be a medicine for our children."
It turned out that their conversation was heard clearly by Vanya who was just waking up at that time. "Am I really a shawl or what? Why meet two-faced people like them."
Vanya was planning to leave tonight as well, but her body still felt limp. Then the girl came back to her place. The girl will recover her body first before leaving this place.
Vanya went back to sleep hugging the bag filled with his shirt, he did not care anymore about his starving stomach. What he wants tomorrow he has to get out of here.
The girl's fever had subsided when the sun had greeted her with warmth. Vanya blinked her eyes as the sun entered through a small gap in the window.
Vanya was stunned for a moment to collect his life that was still flying out of nowhere. When she was fully conscious, the girl immediately went out to the bathroom to clean herself and change her clothes.
"Okay, Yuki today it's time for you to leave here," he muttered as he looked at himself in the mirror reflection that looked even thinner.
However, just as he came out of the toilet, Mr. Darman and a middle-aged woman were in front of him.
"Astagfirefull!" screeched Vanya while holding her chest in shock.
"Sorry, Neng Yuki. We're just worried because from yesterday I didn't see Neng Yuki." Mr. Darman started telling stories.
"Oh, I know this is my wife, commonly called Bu Darman." The fat woman reached out to shake hands with Vanya.
Vanya welcomed him with ordinary. Because he knew the intentions of the woman in front of him. Even though I am poor, I do not want to be a drunk.
"Beautiful too, sir. Let's have breakfast together, Neng," take the woman.
"No, Mom. I had breakfast," Vanya refused politely. However, Mr. Darman and Bu Darman insisted, until finally Vanya followed them to his house behind this mosque.
When they arrived, it looked like a simple house with light green paint and large glass windows. Vanya hesitated a little to enter the house, but Bu Darman immediately withdrew her hand. As they reached the living room, a man was seen eating with his right leg up onto the chair.
"Astagfirullah, have been told wait for us, why are you even eating our breakfast anyway, Yu?" Bu Darman grumbled while looking at the rice that stayed a little, as well as the eggs that had been used up.
"Wood is hungry, Mom." The man replied nonchalantly. It also seemed that he did not realize that there was someone else there. Until Mr. Darman kicked one leg.
"Sick, Sir! Are there any guests?" The man turned to look at Mr. Darman as well as Vanya.
Unexpectedly the man immediately stood up and tidied up his messy hair, then rubbed his hands into his shorts. "Known, Bayu." The man with the look of Mr. Darman extended his hand to Vanya. The girl frowned slightly in fear, but ended up acting ordinary. "Yuki's."
"Awhile, Neng. Let me make some fried rice first huh," said the middle-aged woman as she picked up the remaining rice which might be just one more plate.
Meanwhile, Vanya, Bayu and Pak Darman were sitting in a circle in the same place. Bayu kept talking to Vanya, about her. This time the acquaintance is not Vanya but Yuki, so he answers the origin that he lives a kara, and currently he is looking for work.
Bayu changed his face when he found out that Yuki was not a rich man. "That's the son of a rich man" said Bayu without keeping the feeling of the girl in front of him.
"Wood!" snapped Mr. Darman.
"Yeah, you're not a rich kid, you're a socialite face, but your life is hard." Bayu left his father and Vanya.
Pk Darman was about to hit the man, but was prevented by Vanya. "Already, Sir. I'm okay."
"I'm sorry my son, yes" said Mr. Darman.
Simultaneously, Bu Darman carried a plate of fried rice in his hand. "I'm sorry a long time ago, please, Neng." The woman thrust out a plate of fried rice in front of Vanya.
"Lo, which father's mother?" Vanya looked at the two old men, but both shook their heads.
At the dining table there are two empty plates that are still clean, Vanya took it and then divided the rice for three. "Well if this is fair, right? Come sir, Ma'am, get eaten" Vanya took with her, giving the plate of rice to Mr. Darman and his wife.
"Thank you, Neng Yuki."
