Bakoh Shoulder

Bakoh Shoulder
Chapter 33. Grilled Corn

Vera gets a visit from her parents. The debate in the living room sounded unfriendly in Dinda's ears. Dinda also doesn't understand what exactly they are fussing about down there. Out of the room, towards the first floor of the living room.. Dinda more clearly heard his mommy and oma squabbling.

"Do you not have ot_ak now? Don't even think about marrying Teguh! What do you want to be later? See the luxurious and content life after you are married to Cokro! Even though he's ma_ti now, at least he left his entire fortune to you and Dinda!" Jerky oma Dinda hard.

"Mommy don't be selfish, don't mam! I always wanted to fulfill my mother's wishes as papi! Anyway until ma_ti I ogah married someone other than Teguh! My mom didn't know my heart hurt when she knew my love couldn't be had. You can only think of your own interests!" No less fierce, Vera dared to shout voicing what she felt.

"Oowh.. What self-interest do you mean? All this time you also enjoyed all this Vera! Don't forget, you from childhood have never lived hard and lack. When your papi offers your matchmaking and Cokro in fact you gladly accept. You're the one who wants their marriage to speed up! Don't be the one who suffers the most if you're the happiest!"

Vera widened her eyes, she could have said that. Though her mother also knew, why Vera had asked that her marriage with her late husband be accelerated. Vera hopes that after marriage, Cokro will quickly face the Creator. So that his story with Teguh can continue. But, now her decision was instead made by her mother to insinuate her like that.

"Mommy never loved me!" Shouted Vera loudly.

"If I don't love you, I've let you live a long life married to that obscure Teguh!"

"Mommy just wants you and Dinda to be safe. No shortage, happiness can follow when you have money! You know, anything can be bought with Vera's money! Not with that silly feeling of yours!"

"You or I don't want to, Mami's already prepared a husband for you. Marrying him will make your life happier. Mommy doesn't accept rejection!" Hardik's mom Vera.

The debate ended after her mammoth Vera saw Dinda's figure glued to the steps.

"Dinda, let's go with oma. Nginep at home oma ya." Oma's bargain on her grandson.

"Oma and mom why fight?" The boy looked towards his mother who was sitting with trembling shoulders. It is certain that Vera is crying at the moment.

"Not fighting, baby.. Oma just told your mama to look the same oma. The child's heaven is on his mother, so as long as the oma is still there.. Your mama must be devoted to oma by obeying all the will of oma." Said Dinda while glancing at Vera who did not answer at all.

Vera is heartbroken. From the past always arranged by both parents, it must be this way and so.. There is no freedom for him to choose his own life. Always like that, with frills filial to parents, his mother pressured him so inevitably he was forced to obey the will of his mother.

"Mahs.. Mamah why? Mama scolded oma huh?" Dinda approached her mother when she was gone from her house.

"Could diem not Din? Mama's dizzy again, don't ask too many questions!" Vera walked towards her room quickly. Leaving Dinda who had dewy eyes because of the clash from Vera earlier.

He stopped the bicycle. Park his bicycle when he saw a child his age selling corn roasted around. There's still a lot in that container. Either how many practices, or maybe there is no one who intends to buy grilled corn that he sawn.

"Sir.. How many?" Ask Firmly. Unexpectedly the eyes sparkled hearing someone asking for his trade. Perhaps this person was intending to buy one or two pieces of corn that he sold. Thought the little boy.

"The only two thousand, if you buy three, it's five thousand." That smile made Teguh rub the tip of the boy's head.

"Allhamdulillah, thank you sir.. All twenty-five thousand."

The word 'sir' that was intended to call Teguh seemed to remind Teguh with his daughter who was at home. Firmly gave the boy a hundred thousand bills, which he himself did not know what his name was.

"Sorry sir, I have no change. I have not bought anything from that sale. Wait a minute sir, I'll take the money to the next store." The boy wanted to get out of his crouch after putting the corn in the plastic but, his movement was stopped by Teguh's call.

"That's for you all deck."

"Subhanallah.. Oh, my God, thank you sir.. I can buy medicine for my mbah." Tears fell when I said it.

"Bah? Why mbahnya?" Tanya Teguh curious.

"That I am sick sir. I live three with both of my parents.. My parents have separated. My mother married again. Father also. They had their own families, so I was entrusted with my mother." The story went well without being asked.

"Your parents don't invite you to stay together?" Strong Questions answered soft slack.

"I live with my mom, sir.." Repeatedly again. I could hear the boy's voice trembling.

Steady walking across the street. Continue the journey home after buying four packs of rice at a nearby food stall. The three packs for the boy and his two mbahs, and the one for Ayu of course.

He did not buy rice for himself, because of the amount of grilled corn he bought earlier. His heart was sad to see a boy as his son walking towards cars and motorcycles that stopped at some shops, just to peddle his wares. Many refuse subtly, some do not consider the boy to exist, indifferently allowing his presence until the boy leaves because he feels neglected.

In the heart Teguh prayed, to continue to be given health so that he could accompany Ayu to adulthood. Making Ayu a person who has the provision of life, useful for religion and others. Can't imagine, if God called him when Ayu was the same age.. How will his daughter be without him..

"Astaghfirullah's... Forgive me, O Allah, I think so far.. Precede the provisions that You outline. Verily, I give my life and death to You, O Lord."

Ayu who is brushing her shoes in front of the house looks happy to see the return of her father. Especially when he knew there was a lot of grilled corn that his father brought.

"Mr.. Mr abis grilled corn party huh?" Tanya Ayu looked at the two plastics full of grilled corn.

"Not nduk. I bought it on the street.. Oiya, you share this for a neighbor next to the house. Leave two to yourself." Teguh orders to park the bike in front of the house.

"Ready boss!! Let's go now, sir, this anterin."

Firmly seeing the small footsteps Ayu walked by occasionally jumping up and down happily. Threw the shoes that Ayu had brushed with water. Firmly continue the work of his son who was delayed because of his orders.
